Here is a quick description:
In this world inspired by Invincible Machine Doll, magic has been a part of humanity since its inception. However, magic, being unconstrained by science or the laws of physics, is incredibly difficult to control. Any human attempting to harness the power of magic would be more likely to destroy themselves than actually cast a spell. Magic was a mercurial force, chaotic and powerful, and much destruction was caused by those attempting to harness it. Mankind began to turn away from magic, fearing the few that could wield it in its natural form. Men attempting to harness the power of magic were shamed or beaten into submission, and the natural sciences were utilized more and more as mankind began to master basic chemistry and mechanical engineering. With these forces under their control, the stage was set for the legendary wizards and scientists known as the three magi. The three magi managed to successfully utilize the power of magic by infusing it into special items. They invented the magical circuits, which could be designed to safely harness the power of magic. The magical circuits were utilized primarily in the creation of Dolls, powerful arcane constructs that could weild the power of magic. These creations, commanded by magical engineers known as Puppetmasters, revolutionized the world. Even weaker dolls could easily slaughter the most skilled of human soldiers, and dolls could work more efficiently than most machines and with more care than all but the finest artisans. Their design and use became important to all sectors of society, and Puppetmasters are seen as one of the most favorable and respected professions. It is for this reason that you have entered Erebus Academy, one of the foremost institutions of this profession. Create your doll, and forge your way to the future.
