Castles and Crusades: The Rotter Campaign

This campaign will start with adventures in and around the bustling seaport of Rotter.  The city was founded 200 years ago amidst the ashes of the Unklar War.  Rotter has grown to well over a hundred thousand inhabitants (many of them humanoids).  Ruins of the Old Empire remain untouched in the mountains to the north.  Trade caravans heading east are frequently attacked by brigands.  Humanoid kingdoms lie to the west.  A vast sea spreads to the south.  Adventure beckons!

This campaign will use the Castles and Crusades rules published by Troll Lord Games.  PCs will start at 2nd level.

I am more of a gamer than a writer.  As such, I expect the game to be closer to a table top RPG experience than an effort at writing collaborative fiction.

The game is tagged mature due to colorful descriptions of gore and violence.

******* EDIT TO ADD ********

The game is full as of 2-19-17.

Castles and Crusades: The Rotter Campaign

We need another player.  The party could use someone sneaky (thief or assassin) or an arcane spell caster (wizard or illusionist).  We have a fighter, ranger, monk, cleric, and druid.  Multiclassing is allowed.

Please submit a request to join if you are interested.

is the system relatively simple because I love to try an assassin but don't know the rules all that well (or at all)

Gamer 75, the quickstart rules for C&C are available as a free download:

http://www.trolllord.com/downloads/pdfs/cnc_qs.pdf (pdf download link)

You can skim through that to see if you like it, but yes, C&C is a fairly simple system.

Castles and Crusades: The Rotter Campaign

The game is full again.  I got a surprising (in a good way) number of RTJs.  Thank you to everyone who applied.  I'll bump this thread if we have another opening down the road.

Castles and Crusades: The Rotter Campaign

Our party's fighter had to drop out of the game due to the birth of a child, so we have an opening for another player.  It's been over a year since we last had an opening, so the game is nicely stable.  If you are interested, please submit a request to join.

Still looking for a new player.  The party could use another fighter type, but that isn't required.  The new PC will be rolled into the party very quickly (I'll probably just hand wave the new PC's presence).  The party is currently exploring the basement of an evil temple that is in league with extra-dimensional fish men.  It's less gonzo than it sounds.
