Gods, Reincarnation, Death. In this world, all of these are present and the norm. The Wheel turns, and as Death comes for all, so does new life. Those that Die and taken, body and soul, and reformed into new life. Most of the time, as the Teachings of the world say, When one dies as a man, elf, dwarf, or other sentient being, their corrupted nature and deeds are reformed as a beast, or monster. This process is the way in which the wrongful deeds and sins of the knowing people are purged before their true Reincarnation. The monsters born of this have no sense of right or wrong, nor do they remember anything of their previous selves. The more powerful the Beast or Monster, shows the depth of wrong in an act committed. In this way, the souls of the dead are purified and reincarnated into new life.
While Death and reincarnation hold the core of world as it's main belief, there are also the Gods that govern the world. There are many, and it is known, through true proof that they exist. It is not odd to hear someone speak of being touched, or spoken too by a deity, of several. There are many of them, and they govern near all aspects of the world. Each person has a patron, or chosen, God that blesses them in some way. The god's motives are only revealed to those they choose, but very few seek to activity harm the people of the world. Each god also has a certain sense of duality to them, and none are whole good or evil.
In this world of Gods and monsters, Life and death is treated as an endless cycle, and death is not feared as much as one would think. While Death if avoided at all cost, there is also a sense of ease knowing it is there, as it is not truly the end. Many live their lives fully and happily as they can in a world with literal monsters and Beasts that exist to harm all those that live, sometimes even themselves. Because of this, there are those that take it upon themselves to fight such beings. Mercenaries, Adventurers, Heroes, they have many names, but their purpose in the same, Through Magic and force, by the strength of their will and conviction they seek out the monsters, the beasts, and they put them down to being more safety to the world when they can.
In this world, You will find Adventure, love and a world where nothing is truly over, even in death. May the Gods of the world guide you, because what comes next with truly test the life you choose to live.
