Owen the First, Grand Duke of Geoff, has sent pleas for aid to all those that count themselves his allies. The citizens of Geoff, isolated as they are by the forests, hills, and mountains that surround their realm, have long been accustomed to fending off the attacks of marauding creatures, monsters intent on making them prey and robbing them of all they have built. They are a courageous people, quick to assist their neighbors who are assailed by dark forces.

But now, reports of strange creatures, the like of which have never been encountered before, have come from the western strongholds of Geoff, located in the foothills of the Barrier Peaks. In a matter of weeks, four small fortresses and a walled township have all been destroyed by mysterious attacks, with only lifeless ruins left behind. Scouts believe they have discovered the origin of the fell beasts responsible, deep within the forbidding mountains, and now the Grand Duke seeks a group of champions, brave enough to seek out the source and put an end to these depredations.

Expedition to the Barrier Peaks is a scenario for the first edition of Advanced Dungeons and Dragons, which pits a band of high level adventurers against a series of very unique challenges. I’m recruiting a group of champions willing to brave the dangers hidden within the mountains. If the mission sounds intriguing, please have a look at the game, and send a RTJ my way. Prior experience with the rules is not required. Newcomers to First Edition AD&D are welcome to apply.

There is also a female elven ranger who served as a NPC guide for the party, who I would be open to passing along to someone with strong interest.

First would be, I'm entirely new to DnD, so I would not like to drag you guys down if I'm still learning, let me know if that would be an issue!
