Monster Gate (5e)
Monster Gate is an episodic campaign in which the players take the role of members of the Order of the Gate, a newly created secret organization bring to existence by the Council of Elders, a board of rulers of the Kingdom of Alameris in response to the uprising menace of the Monster Gate, the monster gates are extradimensional passages that open in random places from time to time allowing the passing of one or more extradimensional creatures totally unknown for the people and totally alien to the world ecology with unpredictable results.
The Council of the Elders have asked the most renowned magic users of the kingdom to research the menace and although they have been unable to stop it, the only they know is the planet is moving towards a strange orbit that allows these gates to open, up to the date the only advancement they have achieved is detecting when and where a new gate will open. There is not short term solution to the problem so the Council of the Elders have created a secret organization to hunt down and take down any menace that enters the planet via these gates as they keep their work as secret as possible to avoid panic among the residents of Alameris.
In every episode (adventure) the party hunts down one or more creatures from these TSR books: Planescape Monster Compendium Appendix (Product 2602), Appendix II (Product 2613), Appendix III (Product 2635) and Outer Planes Appendix (Product 2118).
It is not a secret that AD&D bestiaries are the kings when it comes to monster detail as for customs, culture, organization, ecology and such.
Every adventure will be fleshed out from the information presented in the entry of the creature fully converted to be played using the Fifth Edition rules.
