Evil/Dark Campaign 5e

Each individual will find themselves in a peculiar predicament. Confused and dazed. Your vision starts blurry as your eyes focus on the darkness surrounding you, adjusting to the dimness of the area. You realize that you are not alone as you see the silhouette of a few figures standing in front of you and some beside you. They seem to look confused as you are. As your confusion subsided to be replaced only by curiosity and wonderment realizing that the people with you are fully naked. You wanted to ask a question, to know why such a bizarre event is happening in front of you or could it be just a dream. Before you could even talk, you realize you felt the brush of coldness against your bare skin, thats when you noticed that you yourself are also naked and devoid of anything.

Taking enough time to get past that this wasn't a dream nor was it an illusion. You decide to recall anything from your memories to make sense of why you are in this predicament. Nothing comes to mind. You think harder, but everything is darkness. You know your name, you know a certain aspect on how you like your meat cooked, or even the taste of certain foods but with trepidation you could not remember anything beyond or past that. Why are you here? Why are you naked? Why are you with this group of people? Some of these questions will most likely envelop your thoughts as you try to make sense of what is happening. Yet, eventuality remains. You realize you can't remember anything but is it the same with the other people with you?

As you all ponder these questions, some of you could come to a conclusion that you might have been kidnapped and drugged. But is it that simple? Its the most logical conclusion. Perhaps.. or perhaps everyone here got experimented on? Before anyone could further explore these thoughts some would decide to perceive more on the room you and the others are in. And what you get, leads to more questions..

The room is cluttered with tomes and the smell of rot have started permeating through everyone's sense. Symbols written randomly across the jagged walls can be seen with a crimson finish. Most of you cannot make out what the symbols mean while others will find relics of mysterious familiarity laying on top some of the altars. Candles that have been put out are scattered through out the floor, and the floor itself has been flooded with a thick substance. A few bodies can be seen slumped lifeless randomly around the ground, they are wearing black robes, but nothing too peculiar with their garments to be of importance. The thick substance covering the floors are the thick red blood from the fresh corpses that tatters the silent room. Something happened here. The question in everyone's mind is;
"What?"

I would like to recruit about 5 players to do this campaign. This campaign starts with your characters having no memories of their past lives and only individual histories pertaining to your character, but as always everyone would know that basic understanding of the world and how magic works. (Keep in mind you start with no equipment due to the unique start of the adventure).

Players will start at level 7 just to skip with all the level grind at the beginning while keeping in mind that I prefer fairly active players for I’ll be able to post, update ,and even manage the game on a daily basis. Due to that, player activity of being able to post more than 5/week is something I’m looking for in a player. I also made this game to [Adult], to keep it safe from immaturity, ooc fights, and to capitalize on players knowing that this game has a certain quality to it and I like my players to keep to that standard.

I might make two teams of 5 people, (eventually) but for now I'm only looking for the initial group.

What this Campaign have:
  • DnD 5th edition Based Game using official books that have been released (excluding Unearthed Arcana related classes and spells)
  • Players may contribute, are encouraged, to contribute to the world and story line
  • Player interaction driven. exploration, investigation, actions change story line as known to the players
  • Players can uncover hidden plots by accident causing a change in the overall story line.
  • Starts small scale, and can grow to be large scale with travel to foreign lands.
  • In game training and study allow new abilities to be earned or received as rewards for accomplishments actions.
  • There will be certain house rules that will be made aware during the course of the game’s ‘evolution’ as it progresses.
  • Everyone starts with no equipment. Scavenging and scrounging whatever you might find would be critical at the beginning of the adventure.

If you have any further questions, just click on the game link above "Darkened Light" send a request access, and ask me your questions. Rpol does not inform me of any notifications should people send me messages here in this thread so it would be easier for me to be notified through the game itself.

I mentioned this before and due to succesful run and ongoing adventure of the first party, I have time to impliment a second party into the game. If you wish to join the second team, I would like interested parties to properly read the rules.

Due to the popularity of this concept, I recieve several Rtjs in my first request. Keep in mind, that it will be a first come first look basis, and should the first five requests aren't par to my standards I would move on to the next people on the list.If you have rtjed before for the first team, I would like you to do so again if you are still interested.

Please be mindful of the rules (read the rtj thread in game) and possibly give a very descript background of your character and neccesary requirments I need within a player's rtj post. Lacking in any of my requirements or standards would lead me to move on to the other rtjs on the list.
