D&D 5e Game in a Modern Setting

This world has witnessed many ages. Ages of Dragons. Ages of mages, and warriors, and high castle walls. Ages when cannons boomed on the high seas, and wind powered great sails. Ages when fire and water came together to power great machines. But those ages were long ago.

Now it is an age of steel. An age of towers that scrape the sky, and the electronic whisper of billions. It is into such an age that the Old Races find themselves in. An age where information has more power than the ability to summon the denizens of the Abyss.

A modern age.

Standing among the greatest of these modern cities is the mighty Ellisgate. The First City of the great nation of the Allied Territories of Abbascia. And while marauding bands of Orcs no longer descend upon villages surrounded by palisade, this world is still full of dangers. Ghouls infest the sewers, gangs of Hobgoblin bikers still plague the roads outside the city walls. Demons and Devils have never ceased their attempts to sow misery and discord among the mortals of the realm.

In Ellisgate, the constabulary should protect you in theory, but the city has bred a proud, competent people. Which is good, for there are dangers out there that even the most cynical of Ellisgaters will not see coming...

--------------------------------------------

Pretty straight forward. This is a 4th-level D&D 5e game set in a strangely familiar culture and technology level. It will primarily be set in the city of Ellisgate, and players should not expect a lot of external travel.

If that sounds like something you'd be interested in, come check it out and drop an RTJ.

Hope to see you there!
