A new story arc in my 5e campaign: The Mountain Elves.
This is a Big World with other ongoing stories, but at this time, I am looking for characters for only one of them.
The Mountain Elves lost their kingdom in a series of wars. Yes, the Good Guys lost. It didn't work out how it always in the stories. Now the surviving Mountain Elves are scattered, mostly living in the kingdoms of other Elves, and Humans.
Except: among some of the younger Mountain Elves, lacking the wisdom of their elders and lacking proper supervision, have hit upon the idea of going back. Certainly, they can't even dream of re-conquest (yet!), but they can explore, and maybe even teach the conquerors that their is a price to be paid for an Elven kingdom. Whatever the reason, the bright peaks rising over lush rainforests are calling. They have even found non-Elven allies.
So there it is: Mountains, Jungles, Elves, the aftermath of a lost war.
This is a game for new characters, starting at 1st level and working up. We will use the standard Point Buy system for 5e, with 27 points. Characters should be "by the book" (And with initial characters, let's keep it to the basic books). Characters should have Good alignments, I think this works best for what I have planned.
Characters do not have to be Elves- characters who want to support this cause are welcome.
The story takes place in the Southlands, a vast and largely unsettled continent where Elves have been living for 4-5 centuries, and the oldest Human colony is less than 200 years old. Most of it is unexplored. (and of course by Unexplored we mean Unexplored by anyone belonging to the background of the characters)
