Welcome to Magic Missile-aneous. Where the party has access to 1000 different Wands of Magic Missile, but each wand comes with an additional effect as well. Some helpful, some harmful, and some completely benign.
To be a player in this game, you must be comfortable going with the flow. THE GAME WILL NOT BE BALANCED. And an untimely death is always a possibility. Scenes and scenarios have the potential to change rapidly from one moment to the next, for better or worse. At level one you might shoot a goblin only to have it transform into a dragon, or have money rain from the sky, or you get transported to the nearest tavern. The possibilities are endless, but always chaotic. There may even be changes to your character's personality or appearance. Drastic changes. Make sure you are okay with that as well. Things may get silly from time to time, but this is not intended to be a comedic game. Chaotic, but not comedic. I gave the game an Adult rating, but I do not expect the rating to be relevant for the majority of the game, if at all.
Characters will start at level one and gain experience normally for the challenges they overcome. (Which means the first few levels may go by quickly.) Characters can be of any alignment, but must still be comfortable using these wands and be able to work with their party members. Otherwise, what's the point? The expected posting rate is at least a couple times a week. More often if you want to, but it isn't required. The setting for this game will be a standard fantasy-type world, homebrewed. This is intended to be a long-term game, potentially spanning several years of real-life gameplay.
I am looking for five to eight players to adventure together. I will be accepting requests to join for roughly eight days and will begin adding players on the weekend of September 19. I will be choosing players based on their ability to roleplay and how well I feel they will fit in to the game I have in mind. If this sounds like your kind of game, please stop by and apply!
