The game I want to run:

Beginner Friendly. Open and welcoming to players new to Call of Cthulhu. I’m more than willing to teach the system and you don’t even need the book. But you should grab the free Quick-Start Rules to get a basic familiarity with the system and genre.

But don’t read the adventure. I will run beginning players through it.

Call of Cthulhu. A mystery-horror game set during the Roaring 20s and in the section of New England known as Lovecraft Country. Player characters will be relatively normal people taking on forces and beings far beyond their comprehension. They investigate the strange and unusual, discover dark secrets, and fight the monsters as best they can. But those secrets have a price: often madness and death. Strange murders, surreal locations, and nefarious cults abound.

Character-Focused, Plot-Driven Investigations. No over-arching plot, but we will be using modules, one-shots, and pulling from the nearly 40 years of Call of Cthulhu scenarios for our stories. These will be used as seeds and springboards to set up the story and get started, but play will unfold based on the PCs’ choices and actions. So no railroading or pre-scripted endings.

Rules. Call of Cthulhu 7th Edition.

The first batch of scenarios have come to a close and I’m looking to add 3-4 more players.

The game is beginner friendly and I’m happy to teach the system.

I like to keep things moving, so regularly posting 2-3 times a week is required.

If anyone’s interested, come on over.

The word friendly should never be used in regards to Call of Cthulhu. Ever.
No game where your only two options for any character are go mad or die is friendly. It's that much worse when it's preferable the character die.

Hello,
I saw your posting for players for an online Cthulhu story and I was hoping it's not too late? I absolutely LOVE CoC, but can never find a GM to run an adventure. I wouldn't consider myself as a newbie, but I've only just begun, and have only played one short lived game. So on a scale of 1-10, I'd be a 3.

I'd love to play the secretary to an investigator, or a librarian who more the bookworm than the gun toting investigator. She's is hailed for her brains more than her brawn.

If you are starting a new game, or need another player, I'd LOVE to be considered. Im a dedicated poster and will not bail on you a few weeks in. I'm off for the summer and have lots of time to post.
