Rise of the Bloody Hand: Dirty Fingers
It is a dirty, often nasty, always exhausting existence living as a camp follower to a detachment of soldiers from the Empire of the Bloody Hand, but it is a living, all things considered, and one of the only choices for those caught up in the expansion of the nascent Empire. The work is hard, paid in protection and food and, most importantly, the chance to be fully made part of the rapacious Empire that has taken lands from southern Grakis to eastern Alarefti and is looking to expand into the chill of Falakia. The Bloody Hand values competence, skill, and talent, no matter their source, and one of the Hand's most famous commanders - Fist Keneth Brigan - ascended from such a lowly state. Tradesfolk in particular are valued.
Just how many latrines will you have to dig and muck out to get there?
This campaign is set in a medieval fantasy setting, much of whose history has been written and influenced by players over a decade of play. It follows the story of a group of unfortunates caught up in the gears of war who may become something much greater. The style of play is somewhat open-world, focused on the characters and their actions. There is also a homebrewed dice system in place being playtested.
