Premise: As far as you knew, you were a completely ordinary person living in the modern world until one day you awoke. Each awakening is unique but all afford a similar bond with a unique supernal realm and mark you as one who has signed their name to a watchtower.
The world the characters inhabit is one of modern intrigue, supernatural investigations, and endless horror.
Quintessence blankets the entire world, leaving most in ignorance of its true nature, that magic is real and reality is a cage for the blind.
