The Last War ended two years ago and life in Breland struggles to return to normal.  Deep in the Greywall Mountains on the border between Breland and Droaam, a joint venture of Houses Tharashk and Cannith located a vein of adamantine. The mobile citadel and forge, Vidaris has relocated to the region to exploit this resource. Other forces have noted this endeavor and have gathered to prey on the weak points of the operation. The Sons of Liberty wish to deny these resources to the Crown. Aberrant Dragonmarked hiding in the Greywall Mountains wish to be left alone. The monstrous residents of Droaam loathe human industry getting so close to their domain. The assorted denizens of Khyber have historically objected to the depths necessary for the mining.

The Araximos League is an organization of adventurers and freelancers founded just before the inception of the Last War. It has been contracted to provide security to this expedition. It's membership is diverse, joining for reasons all their own.
