Travel in a Fried-Out Kombi - 1970s Road Trip Game
I'm looking for players for a road trip game set nearly 50 years ago, in the year 1972. In it, you'll be playing adventurers who travelled overland from Western Europe to South Asia in search of new experiences and an escape from the rat race. You'll encounter muscular Australian bakers, strange Hungarian ladies and people with slack jaws.
If you want an idea of my style of play, please check out Secret '67, although this will be a rather different game. The Cold War will of course be a background event with obvious influences on the world, but you will be facing far less peril unless you do something truly stupid. That's not to say there won't be challenges - you'll encounter an array of not square representatives of 'The Man' (be he Nixon, Brandt, Tito or Indira Gandhi) with a dislike of freaks out to stop your swingin', along with the other difficulties of travelling on a limited budget in a time with no cellphones.
And I will try not to be too cheesy with the slang as we head far out. As in several thousand kilometres far out.
The bus is parked at Victoria Station and there is room for five dudes of any gender. If we fill the bus, other groups will be accepted, but have to find their own way of travelling.
I look forward to the journey!
