The Expanse: 2350

After getting the Ships of the Expanse source book I have the material needed to run  campaign for The Expanse RPG.

The player characters will begin the game on Eros, shortly before the ‘Eros Incident’ which will serve as an introduction/prologue adventure that will focus on bringing the player characters together as a group.

Yes we have room for Belters!

Any/all of the below crew positions are open as I am looking for the player group to have some redundancy. You never know when a stray PDC round will take out a crewmember.

  • Captain and Executive officer: As we have seen in the TV series and from reading the novels the character who commands a space vessel has to make tough decisions from time to time. As the GM I expect a little bit more from a player whose character is in a leadership position then one who isn't. If you want to play a character who is in a leadership position keep in mind that your character may find themselves in a position/situation where your orders (good or bad) might get another player character killed.
  • Pilot You ‘fly’ the ship.
  • Navigator Could also serve as the backup pilot in case of emergency
  • Gunner There could be 2 gunners, one to assist PDC’s and another to guide torpedoes.
  • Electronic Warfare Operator Hacking other ships/missiles, will jam enemy sensors.
  • Engineering/Maintenance Will make repairs during combat, and may have to move around during high G maneuvers.
  • Medic Probably best if this is a secondary role
  • Security Probably best of this is a secondary role, if your needed because the ship is being boarded somebody else (except maybe the medic) must have seriously messed up.
  • A role not listed I may have forgotten a crewman role.

Although I have started a few completed characters out on solo threads this game is still open for players.

Current cast thus far:
  • Leader/Pilot/Electronic Warfare
  • Pilot/Navigator/Investigator
  • Engineer/Electronic warfare
  • Engineer/Physical Security
  • Gunner/Physical Security

Any new players would be starting in the middle of the pandemonium that occurred as Eros Station suffers a ‘radiation event’.

Had a few players stop posting so I have two fully made characters available.

Alternatively, a completely new character can be made as well by any player wishing to join. Said character can be members of two different ships so as to have a tie in with current player characters.
  • Crew of the Zhidao: A Narlika Class Research vessel. The characters from this vessel are currently on one of the Casino levels.
  • Crew of the Salisbury: A Water hauler. Six unnamed members of the crew are currently with a group of characters who are in the corridors of Eros.

The Expanse: 2350

The player group has recently escaped Eros station and captured a pair of stealth warships in the process. One ship is a stealth gunship, the other is my interpretation of the stealth frigate. The ships are currently parked next to a rock in the belt while the character cast decides where to go next.

I have a number of abandoned characters, and NPC's I have made that are available for players new to the game.
  • Asha Blackburn (4th lev) – Female Belter – Lower Class/Urban/Technician
    • Focuses: Deception (6), Persuasion (6), Free-Fall (4), Engineering (7), Technology (7), Security (7), Empathy (4)
    • Talents: Agility (N), Attractive (N), Know-It-All (N), Maker (M)
  • Tattoo Face (3rd lev) – Female Belter – Outsider/Scavenger/Solider
    • Focuses: Pistols (5), Stamina (4), Free-fall (5)
    • Talents: Agility (N), Two Guns Style (E), Fringer (N), Scouting (N)
  • Shaved Head (3rd lev) – Male Belter – Outsider/Outcast/Scavenger
    • Focuses: Pistols (3), Stamina (4), Free-fall (5), Stealth (5), Demolitions (6), Evaluation (6), Self-Discipline (4)

There are still three available slots for new players in this game.

New players can take over an existing NPC (4 available) or an unmade NPC (3 available).

For those interested in making a new character who is not onboard the ship, they can start off on the smugglers port.
