You like the setting, but not the rules? Want to focus on the story instead of wasting time with diced out battles or worrying about levels and spell management?
Then maybe this is for you. With the help of a d6 when some element of surprise is needed, and some uncommon sense as to what your character(s) may be able to achieve in a highly magical, highly dynamic and definitely dangerous world,you can experience Faerun as a story rather than a dicing match.
You don't need to know the novels (neither do I for the most part) or adhere to the metaplot, as with every game the goal is to make the world your own.
Explore the world with its intrigues, blatant power plays, benevolent and sinister rulers, the simple everyday folk who may be as likely to offer hospitality in some regions than to cut your throat in others. Halflings, gnomes, humans and everything inbetween is there for you to get to know better. Even the far off lands of Al-Qadim and more is there to visit.
Is there a grand plot behind all this? Maybe, maybe not. It is yet to be created before it can be seen.
