Exalted Essence Playtest Oneshot
On the pilgrim's path through the Long Dai river basin, "Heaven's Eye Lake" is a popular place to stop and rest. The lake itself is serene, the village is largely peaceful and a place to rest and gather one's strength, and the mist-veiled temple at its center is said to be home to three, mighty goddesses. Lately, however, tragedy has fallen over Heaven's Eye Lake. The waters, which once yielded an unnatural bounty, have grown foul, the fish pulled from them barely edible. Strange creatures lurk the shore at night, and the Black Tigers triad has been harassing travelers as the boss's son, Little Claw, parades his new paramour around town.
Now, a strange woman has washed ashore, shimmering scales litter the beaches, and nobody has heard from the monks at the center of the lake in some time. A blood moon grows full over Heaven's Eye Lake.

Thanks for reading. This will be a short game using the new backer version of the Exalted: Essence ruleset. I'm only looking for around two more players, but I'm interested in finding people whose sensibilities match my own and who are interested in telling a short story in the exalted universe with a set of rules that are hopefully less cumbersome. Because I'm aiming to get this story started and finished in a reasonable amount of time, I'll be closing applications by friday evening, if not before. I'm only looking for a max of two more players, and while I'm a bit choosy, I don't expect it will take too long to find interested parties.
