In 2018, many global powers came together in a closed door meeting to discuss the growing threat of global terror. From this meeting, the various countries of the world came to one singular conclusion: they had to work together to halt global crises before they happened. With that, came a new form of military and intelligence unit came into existence; The International Covert Operations Unit.

Formally, the ICO is fiction, a ghost story to scare new insurgents in war torn countries around a campfire. However, what these up and coming global criminals don't know is that every ghost story comes from some amount of truth, or in this case, pure facts. With no singular country to call home or government providing oversight, the ICO has greater longitude in mission freedom than even the most black of ops held by alphabet agencies, and with the military skill and training exceeding many Tier 1 units fielded by global superpowers.

Operation: Dawn Hammer

The year is now 2022, a very different world than 4 years prior. Coming off the global pandemic, the ICO's place in the fight against global terrorism. With much of the global economy being used to rebuild, the need to pool funds into a single tactical unit to take care of the growing global unrest became more necessary. As the ICO grows steadily, a new threat looms on the horizon. Reports of several bio-agents being sold and the potential for a second pandemic spur the ICO into action.

You are a new recruit to the ICO, whether a soldier, law officer, or analyst, you have been asked to forgo your country in favor of the world. The threats that are but whispers in the night are very real, and you are what goes bump in the night.

This is planned to be a long running, multi-part military story using the Ghost Ops: Second Strike ruleset. At this time, I'll be accepting various character concepts ranging from elite special forces soldiers to spooks serving various letter agencies, including support staff and field agents. While it is best if you have Second Strike before joining, I will not require it if you are interested in learning a cinematic system and collaborating on the story.
