I'm new to the site and looking for 2-3 more players to fill out a party.  I'm not using a published setting as it gives me (and you) a lot more freedom and in general just makes it more fun for me to not even think about if someone with more knowledge on a setting is going to say something's wrong.  :D  Just think of it as generic fantasy world #52,397.

The party is starting at level 1 but I'll keep things moving quickly to get you to level 3-5 fairly quickly.

There is an overarching set of large world events happening but you can decide to follow up on them as they're revealed in-game or not.  I'm very flexible.  Spend an afternoon investigating a rock you think is suspicious while the hobgoblin army razes the village to the ground if you want.  Who knows, maybe that rock is super important.
