What If meets D&D
Time. Space. Reality. It's more than a linear path. It's a prism of endless possibility, where a single choice can branch out into infinite realities, creating alternate worlds from the ones you know. Worlds with places and faces so close one might think they were looking at a mirror of the world they know. Worlds that look so similar to what they know but with none of the same faces and places by different names. Worlds so far beyond recognition they are separated beyond veils even the mightiest of gods couldn't penetrate.
What if.... ?
What if a massive wave of Annihilation, led by Annihilus and fueled by a bound Galactus, tore through the universe unchecked as cosmic entities were distracted in conflict with each other?
What if a reality shattered by catastrophic collision with another reality fails to reset itself from the Secret Wars waged by it's heroes as Time Runs Out?
What if there was a conflict of two wills as Adam Warlock and the Mad Titan Thanos fought over the Infinity Gauntlet as he attempted to snap half of all life in the universe from existence?
What if a Crisis on Infinite Earths never saw champions of the multiverse powerful enough rise to challenge the Anti-Monitor?
What if, at the Zero Hour in a Crisis In Time, no one was able to reach the reality and time warping entity known as Parallax, formerly Hal Jordan?
What if, as the goddess of magic Mystra was slain, she in turn was able to slay her attacker Cyric the God of Lies drastically magnifying the Spellplague that tore the planes asunder?
What if the powers that caused the Day of Mourning unleashed an exponential wave of energy that spread far beyond the borders of Cyre, stretching across the realms and the planes?
What if all these reality shaking events across multiverses separated by veils beyond veils were all to occur at exactly the same the moment in time?
The premise of this game is that all of the major, universe shaking events from the different comic and D&D universes came together at exactly the same instant. All of that massive reality and time warping power caused cracks in some realities across them. Some of those cracks were big enough that entire sections of a world slipped through smashing and melding together to create an entirely new world. Some of those cracks were so small that only stray individuals slipped through to land on this new world.
All of the players will be playing Comic heroes who have slipped through those cracks into a world that is an amalgamation of D&D worlds. They can be Marvel Heroes or DC heroes or if they are well known enough heroes from other comics or graphic novels. Following from the 'What if' premise they can be different from the heroes we know, so long as they are still easily recognizable. I won't be accepting any cosmic level heroes here. Think street/X-men level heroes near the beginning of their careers as heroes.
