In a previously unknown system in the Vast lies an uncharted and uninhabited
planet, newly discovered. Our heroes lead one of several groups tasked with
making the planet safe for colonization. As they establish the first settlement
and explore the surrounding wilderness, they must contend with wild animals,
dissatisfied colonists, and strange mysteries.

Will their settlement thrive? Or will they (and those who rely on them) perish on this New World?





What is Project Horizon?

Several weeks ago, long-range scans located an unknown and uninhabited system (catalogued as AS 209 by past researchers), now called Weydana.

Excerpt from the Project Horizon prospectus:

  • “We have determined that this new system, Weydana — named after the forward-reaching god of exploration and discovery — boasts an abundance of natural resources, from the mercury lakes of Weydana-2 to the churning frozen gases of Weydana-6. But, the most exciting of all is the bucolic Weydana-4, which the Media have dubbed New Harmony in honor of this project’s coordination between Pact Worlds and the Veskarium. It has mountains rich in ore and open fields ripe for development. New Harmony is a perfect welcoming home for those with the drive to embark on an exciting journey… to the next horizon!”


As part of this on-boarding seminar, we will be exploring some of the challenges you should expect to face when administering your first charter; discussing the reasons why your background made you the ideal choice for this undertaking, and reviewing some of the unique skills you might be bringing to the table as we colonize the Weydana System.

We look forward to your contributions, both individual and collective, as an integral part of Project Horizon.



This is a Starfinder (Pathfinder) Game in which players are part of a Colonization Expedition in a newly discovered binary star system.

Character Levels: This scenario is suitable for Level 1 characters; this will change as the game progresses.

[Starfinder] We are Founding a New Colony

STORY STATUS:

Our adventurers have sailed through the Vast for several weeks and finally reached Weydana-4, landing a behemoth of a ship — thousands of tons of metal that is to be used to build the settlement’s first structures — safely on the ground amidst the cheers and relief of everyone on board.

The settlement immediately got to work, the first buildings going up within a matter of hours under the protection of their Charter Administration Committee members, who were soon dealing with rogue beasties, dangerous flora, and an unknown enemy within their very own settlement.

You’d be joining the group, just as the members find out that one of their own is missing.
