Aether Odyssey is an original blended setting of fantasy and swashbuckling fantasy.
The system that will be lightly used will be Fate. Most of the game will be freeform roleplaying but every now and then you can expect combat to happen. You do not need to have knowledge of the system and I have dumbed everything down further to make it easier to make characters.
Faces will include old familiar faces such as Human and Goblin but introduce four new races which are spins on old familiar races:
- FaeBound (Are Elves with a much different background)
- BeastBound (Your lizardfolk, catfolk and birdfolk races)
- Earthshakers (former giants who are now much smaller but still have the might and strength)
- VoidCallers (races who have had their souls sucked out of them and are left behind in some kind of golem or armor)
Dwarves, Gnomes, Halfling, Orcs, and Kobolds are all pretty non-existent but occasionally will make appearances.
You will start the game with a merchant vessel called The Raven. You will fly around from island to island dealing with political struggles between kings and regions.
Influences: 7th Sea, Fantasy, Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones.
