Re: Chapter
Stefan and Tanzy see it first and it appears to be a rather large bear. You recognize it as Stefan's companion, though at his words it stops in it's tracks, though it certainly looks anxious considering what you are doing to it's master...
In the meantime you can feel the storm getting worse, though how that is possible you cannot fathom. By now it is difficult to hear each other for the wind tries to take your words from your very lips, it is so strong. The thing inside Stefan struggles for control and the man is soaked in sweat and blood. Loden has not stopped chanting the entire time, his focus is admirable. No doubt he knows all too well the type of entity you are dealing with. Ignoring the bear for now, the exorcism continues, though exhaustion is starting to take all of you, especially Tanzy who has had to switch hands as she rings the bell. Stefan, you can feel the thing inside you is greatly weakened, though he still lashes out frantically in your mind, trying to gain control. It is much easier to keep him at bay, though you are so physically weak you find it hard not to pass out. Suddenly, your whole body stiffens. It is finished...
You all watch as the druid's body turns rigid and his eyes grow so large you think they will burst for a moment. He lurches against his restraints, bones popping throughout his body, and gags as a black ooze pours out of his mouth and drips down his clothes and onto the ground. Loden reacts quickly, finally done chanting. Get his clothes off! Don't let the liquid touch your skin! It may be dead but it is still poisonous! The bear at this point, seeing his master's pain, rushes forward but does not attack. Instead it worriedly bumps against the druid as if seeing if he is alright. The man has passed out and at first glance appears to be dead. Upon closer inspection though you see he his alive. Barely. And not for much longer without help.
Halek watches the scene with wide eyes. She is coming. It called out to her in the end. She will avenge him. We need to get out of here now. NOW! He grows suddenly frantic.
