Adam turned towards the  GAte once more, he heard the thumping of someone "running the steps" and turned to see Ben charging up the Steps  towards  a fellow in the stands. He waited to see what was going to happen....

 , his eyes looked  around  for any of the others, coming out of the locker rooms

  Those that came out  waved, almost all were  Grinning and laughing. He smiled and waved  back, this was  the thing about winning...about not holding back...there may be a day were they get crushed, but hr hoped those  would be few and far between....

Talking nineteen to the dozen in excitement, Ben led his dad back down to field level.

"Dad, this is Adam Bronk... wideout, my housemate and altogether good guy!"

The older version of Ben, with short-cropped grey hair, held out a hand.

"James Hope, Mr Bronk. Good game, beginnings of a good team there."

Miguel stepped out of his room, clean and looking good. He knew that he would probably be hearing alot from the coach tomorrow due to his performance, but tonight he wanted to enjoy the win. He headed towards Quentin's room and knocked on the door.

Oye! You ready? We're only going out for a while.

He knew the DB liked to party and figured there was nobody else on the team that wanted to see him at the moment.

 Adam shook  Hands, with a big  smile,Nice to meet you as  well Mr. Hope. Please..I am Adam..or  Bronk if you wish, I get called  many things,..sometimes not  always in a friendly manner!

 he nods his head,we have a ways to go, but the whole nation, or at least those who like football..saw us today..i have the feeling there a coaches  scrambling to  see how soon they play us...  As  they talk he adds, Ben has picked up the offense  rather fast, some folks can't get it in thier heads  , how to make a read... I can't wait to go to Bufflao..that should be   good test, they finished  about the same place the Redskins did, but they are an AFC team, so always stronger.

Quentin appeared in his usual "clubbin'" outfit, a nice dark suit with a couple of Gold rings and his Gold watch on.  He thought about wearing a top hat, but decided that be too over the top.

When he saw heis fellow DB, he saidd, looking him up and down,"yeah! hell yeah! we played good and we won, so let's go baby! aagh!" he was clearly excited.

he put ahand on Santo's shoulder and said,"ey, listen, you'll get'em next game.  Coach will give ya shit, he always does, I'll even hear it, but you're too damn good.  Dallas lost one hell of a corner, I know  that much." he was trying to cheer him up as best he knew how.  He smiled and said,"ey, at least you ain't getiin pulled over fer DWM, right?"

Miguel continued down the hall towards the exit with Quentin, "Screw it, not going to worry about the coach tonight. We're gonna have us some fun and enjoy the win. Preseason or not, we won big." He was in the mood to forget about the day and enjoy the rest of the night at the rising sun.

Quentin nodded,"Fine by me!  just so long as we meet up with some of the ladies, I'm happy.  and yeah, I'll remember to put a sock on my door for ya."

Miguel laughed and headed towards an exit, hopefully they had a car ready with some nice escorts waiting for them.

"Well, I'll let you boys get on... I have to get back to base, the recruits I have been training have their graduation parade in the morning. But I couldn't miss Ben's first game in Dragon colours."

With which, Ben's dad shook hands all round again and headed off out of the stadium.

"Bye, Dad... and thanks for coming. It really means something..." Ben turned to Adam.

"Do you want to go to The Rising Son tonight?"

Quentin followed Miguel to his car.  it was a decent ride.  A silver comfortable, with two seats in the front and back.  he hadn't "pimped" it out too much, but he planned to once he got enough money from the start of the season. Quentin hopped in the driver's side and started the engine, hearing his car purr like a kitten.

Miguel followed Quentin and stepped into the passenger side and sat back. "Lets go, women and liquor await."

  Adam nodded and  as Mr  Hope expressed  his regrets in not being around longer, If you have time, Come to the Rising Son,  Yong  Mr Yuto is having a Victory party...the dining  hall will be  pumping out  good  food, and the  Nightclub section should be  ...lively...

 Turning to Ben , after he picked up his  bag,yea..I'm thinbking, if  we didn't go to the Club tonight, they'll send  someone to get us...Part of  our Duty, I suppose.

 He ehaded out to his  car. Two of the  kids that helped  them practice a few days ago were there  with about  5  other  kids, Bronk smiled, Hey , Guys..How's it going? I'm glad you helped us out the other day when we  were running thos e extra passing  reps...sure paid off today!

  The two boys that hellped Grinned  as  Adam gave them each a  High fice and a pat on the back, If you two aren't  doing anything tomorrow  moring, I'm coming over to  get some runs in and fire up the Juggs  machine, could use your help, if your parents  don't mind?

 The Little  wideout  ignored the other , older boys  until the youngest of the two helpers pointed to them,These guys are...friends  of ours..they didn't believe we knew you...

  Adam  Turned to the Older boys  and smiled, Tommy and Billy here..they shagged balls for us, helped me with teh Juggs machine, even shagged a few kicks  for Kat...now? that  might not seem like a big thing? But , because they help[ed us, we got  more Reps in..who knows..one of those extra Reps , might have helped ben here, catch my last pass ? Tell you what? Since you guys  are friends  with Billy and Tommy? I'll sign something for you if you want, But   Ben and I need to get going...so...

 As awed as the Older boys   seemed when Adam talked to the younger ones, they were more  taken aback, looking at the big tight end.

 They reached inthier pockets and pulled out small spiral autograph notebooks and held them out to Adam, who took his time signing them..his name  with a 19 under it.

Ben smiled at the youngsters, it only seems yesterday that he was one of them, hanging around 'ball players picking up tips to improve his own game.

"Nice to see you guys again," he said to the ones who'd been at practice. "And you others are welcome to drop by tomorrow, if you are free. How many of you play on a school team or anything?"

Ben chatted to the youngsters while Adam signed autographs.

  All but the biggest kids  said  they play, The bigger one, ( who seemed like the 'leader' bashfully said he didn't know how)

  That's  what the coaches  are for...and your folks...and if your parents don't know the game? or don't have time? Look me up after  practice some time. when we do not have  any responsiblites  after  practice? I can sspare an hour or so to work with you..

 Adam handed each book back to Ben  after he signed, once Ben was done, he saidAlright guys. We have to get moving. Make  sure your keep playing, and listen to your folks...

 The Kids  were all happy as   the two got in Bronk's  car and  headed to the "dorms".

"That's right, we'd be happy to work with you on skills once we've completed our own training. At least, I would..." said Ben. He took the books Adam passed, raised an eyebrow at the youngsters and when they nodded, signed them as well before returning them.

"See you tomorrow. And bring your kit!"

Ben waved to them as Adam drove the two players off.

"Maybe I should ask Mr Yuto if we can start a youth team... nice bit of community outreach, and I want to learn how to coach."

 Adam  smiled,we did that in the off season in JApan..lids  loved it..parents loved it..but don't forget..offseason pops up, we'll be coaching the dragonettes!

  Pulling in front  of thier  townehouse,  Adam  opens  the trunk  to get thier bags,...get dressed..and go..we are  already going to be..er..um..fashionaly late.

  He  opens the  door  and    toosses his  stuff into the hamper,  looking for  something  you oout on. He settles on a Blue collared  pull over  and  jeans with  white sneakers.

"You take the girls, I'll take the youth team, then!" grins Ben, and bolts upstairs to dress for the evening, coming down in a white dress shirt and black pants.

"Let's go!"

 with that, two Dragons  hop in the neon and held  down the Road to the Rising Son.......

(From Stadium/"1st Preseason game...")

Kat pulled up to her townhouse and turned the keys. The car went dark and Kat leaned back and let out a big sigh. Even for a pre-season game, today had been a huge deal. It made the regular season more exciting.

Kat quickly got into the shower, cleaning herself up before wrapping a towel around herself and staring at her wardrobe. She scrunched her eyes close together and stared at the innards of her closet. Finally, a Black mini-dress and some killer stilettos caught her attention. She got dressed, noticing that the dress fit her more perfectly than she'd remembered. Despite being an NFL football player, the girl in her was more than gleeful over that small fact. She checked herself in the mirror after applying make up. Nothing was over the top, she was more than decently covered.

But...if looks could kill. Kat gave a small smile and headed out towards the nightclub where her team would be. She didn't really get dressed up like this often, but hey, a girl needed to get fancy every once in a while. Plus, she figured her teammates reactions would be priceless.

She grabbed a small purse and hopped over to the nightclub...

(To The Rising Son)

Having made her way to the dorm buildings, she quickly dashed to the mailbox taking a look around to make sure no one was watching.  Not that it mattered really, but she felt like a high school girl crushing on a dream guy.

Pulling the paper out of the mailbox, she took a look at the picture in the paper and grinned her face blushing making her cheeks a bright rose.  The signature made the picture all the better.

Adam, Adam, Adam, she chimed out loud.  You are simply something else.

Once she had went inside to take care of the picture, framing it, making a duplicate, and laminating it.  She posted the framed picture up on the wall near her bed, the laminated one would go on her locker.

  The Picture  was carfully signed, to not have  any of the writing obscure thier faces,

When she had completed her task, she headed back towards the complex her own picture in tow to put on her locker.  She shook her head as she make her trek back.  She wondered who would make the comment first and what.

   The Neon was sitting out there in  the Lot. It looked  old and sad when surrounded by some of the cars the other Players had. KAt's  CAr. Steele's  Jag..Givens' Humvee ect ect.

 The  neon made its way to  the Droms  and Adam openewd the trunk to get his   binders  with the  Vids in out. I'll only watch them for  an hour...then  we can go  hit the city or  something if you want?

Your own personal stash? she asks Adam seeing him get into the trunk as she gets out of the car and walks up to her door to unlock it.

 never met a pizza  i didn't like, My dear...well..cept  for them salty fish things...but i could live through it  if you like them...

 He hefts the Binders,..every Wideout  and DB in the League, as of  June 1st...Coach will give me an update as he  finds out who's sticking were...right now?  doesn't look like i'll see much DB time, cept  for  Hail MAry things....so I'm just gonna take a look at the  top 4 Buffalo DBs,..shouldn't take too long...I studied  two fo them last year to kill  off time in  Canada...

   As htey walk in and he sets the Binders  down, he looks to her  with a soft half-smile,..This is great..you know? I mean...if you get to the  point that you are bored..you let me now..we can pop in a movie or something...
