Re: Dragonette's  Thread

It will be a set of games that we and the other cheerleaders will host during the spring and summer.  At this time, a couple of the teams have selected Flag option, but we have a couple that are game for full contact.  I am personally working with the other Head cheerleaders who've agreed with this to make all the games full contact.  We'll have padding and uniforms just like the guys do.

Since there are not as many cheerleaders as their are football players, the count on the field should be something like 5 or 6.  That accounts for a team of offense and defense teams.

The games will be held here or at the Stadium of that group's choice.

She'd looked from Eve to Sasha when Monty asked their thoughts and shook her head at his comment of not being football players.  She gave a chuckle.

Monty, what does a football player look like? she asked tilting her head to the side.  Are they all suppose to look like Marino, Roethlesberger, maybe even Givens or Sims?

She paused and gave a devilish chuckle.  We've got some of the best guys in the NFL, and they don't fit your "criteria" for a typical player.  Some are taller, some are smaller.  Bronk isn't much taller than me, he may have more muscle than me, but he can put a defensive player out of a game in a heartbeat if he gets in his way of a throw.  Then again, I may be impartial.

She keeps smiling.  Besides, you don't look like a typical Radio man, your not Howard Stern-ish, she licked her lips and her smile arched to one side as her eyes twinkled at her comeback.

Re: Dragonette's  Thread

Sasha waited for Celeste to finish before she spoke up.  "I don't know much about it just yet.  I may be wrong, but I think they're still working out some of the finer details.  But I'm good with it in theory.  It will be fun to do some competitive things again."

"Though I agree with Celeste.  What should a football player look like.  Some of the best in the league don't look like the majority of players in their position.  They just know how to use what they have to be the best."

Eve paused listening to the responses, chastising herself for not keeping up with the plans, making a mental note to find out about this as soon as possible.  She nodded in agreement at both Celeste's and Sasha's comments then looked at Mr Monty waiting for his reply.

Monty  looked over each of the girls  , like he might have been browsing a porn magazine,...well LAdies..football players  sure don't looklike you!..I know there are some   Female  contact leagues..last count there was some 100 teams scattered over the country...but? well...you folks  look like  Cheerleaders....

He pointed at Cel , when she made her retort about him,..now , you are not the first to say that...I take pride  and not being the run-of-the-mill studio jock..and Howard Stern?..Please...I...at least...am good looking!

..now?..before  we go a bit deeper into this Cheerleader...league?...Tell our people more about the charities?

then He moved a hand to swept them all in the question,...but first?..tell the folks out there...how, why..you became a Dragonette?

Re: Dragonette's  Thread

Celeste had to chuckle at his comment of still being attractive.  Though this would not be a new "league" of female players, we are doing this as a not-for-profit charity benefit, she added.  Regardless, we are cheerleaders, but we like to do things for the less fortunate.  Why not make use of the attributes and abilities that we do have and apply it towards something that is more rewarding?

Celeste paused as he spoke about other charities.

The Dragonnettes biggest one to date is our work on the childrens floor of the local hospital.  We also do various other local benefits, but the hospital is our biggest even thus far.

Celeste paused at that and let the other two girls explain how they became a Dragonnette.  She wanted the other girls to feel just as special for being a Dragonnette as she was.

Sasha waited for Celeste to finish discussing the charities before answering the second question.  "Well, all I've ever really done in my life is gymnastics, training for the Olympics.  When I came up short, I banged around a few odd jobs when one of their scouts recognized me from a gymnastics meet and suggested I try out.  The rest, as they say, is history."

Monty nodded at their   reasons for  ending up Dragonettes,so?..If  I may ask?  This is what..a Job?.... something to do, until you can land a 'real job"?...I know the Cowgrils change thier people  almost every years, some move on, some  get cut....?  Once more He looks them over  as he awaits their answer....His eyes stray to the Booth as the  chick with the Head phonses  tells him how much  show time they have yet.

Re: Dragonette's  Thread

This is our job, said Celeste.  There's nothing else I'd rather be doing than this.

She crosses her leg and shifts in her seat.  The Amotas take the Dragonettes and this position on the team as seriously as he does the players on the field.  You don't come in our Stadium or complex as if it were a day in the playground.  This is our livelihoods and our passions.

Do you consider this your hobby? she asked in return.  Or do you eat, sleep, and breathe everything you do here.

She looked around at the cast and crew of the station to see not only his reaction but theirs to his position or their own.

Sasha shrugged, "No, this is a real job.  One I plan on doing as long as I can.  I can't say it's always been my dream like some girls on the team.  As I said, that was to make the Olympics, but I've had more fun since I joined the squad then I've ever had in my life.  Won't give it up without a fight."

Eve was about to provide input as to why she joined the Dragonetts when MM chose to compare their squad to those of the Cowgirls and Chargerettes. Surely he was aware all cheerleader squads were paid by the clubs they represented. she thought

Re: Dragonette's  Thread

What our salary cap or commission is, would be in the hands and minds of our bosses, she commented.  That remains on the Amota's table, not for us to entail.  We are proud of our jobs, position within the league, and other cheerleader standings.  For that, we get paid for the job that we do, much like any one who has a job in the here and now.  We enjoy it well enough to do it time and again with a brazen smile on our faces.

Celeste tilted her head at Monty's question, her brow furrowed not only in confusion but if her assumptions were right, aggravation.

Stunt? she said vexed.  Please, do explain your wording, Monty.

If it was what she'd thought, her gaze lingered to Eve to hint off that it was the fresh idea of mocking the other cheer teams routine.

Celeste couldn’t help but chuckle at the comment.

I suppose that the Steelerettes are a reputable squad, she commented.  Not like I didn’t live, near there, and attend college, near there, she said pausing.  I just don’t feel that they qualified my needs.

She looked to Eve.  Eve, she said.  What do you think of our tactful routine?

Re: Dragonette's  Thread

In reply to Celeste (msg # 313):

Eve acknowledged Celestes unspoken comments.
Mr Monty do you think the only contest taking place in a football stadium during a game is limited to the field. For shame if you do. For as long as there have been Cheerleaders involved in the sport, they have strove to support the Teams they work with. Rousing steadfast and loyal fans, providing encouragement during lulls and motivating each in support of the Teams heightened plays.
This support may not be as central as the match but it is every bit as exacting and in reality often more so than that taking place on the field. Cheerleaders to a great extent are continually at work through most of the game; added to this is the unspoken contest they have with their opposites. If you presume initiating a new outlook in this contest is a stunt, I suggest changing your hairpiece is more suited to that classification.

Sasha bit her lower lip as Alexia appeared on the screen.  That quickly turned into an annoyed frown as the other woman spoke up.  It might not be the best thing for her career, but Sasha couldn't help but fire back.  "That's because we never met, my dear.  I filled the spot when you left.  Or at least I think it was you.  They said something about a no talent hack and I thought of you."

Celeste saw the aggravation bubbling at the epicenter between the new girls and Alexia and her shadows.  She bursted out laughing when Sasha finally spoke up.  She couldn't help herself.

Doing quite well with our new Dragonnettes, Alexia, she said.  We are doing quite well as a unified team and improving every day since you've departed.  Adam, James, and I were just talking about the overall improvement of the team the past few weeks.  James is rather a nice dancer.

She disregarded anything else that was said or the other two girls in the back.

So Monty, a reason for bringing us all together is why?  she asked becoming a bit more flustered at this point.

Alexia  smiled  a condescending smile,Something  wrong  Celste,  sweetie? Monty didn't tell you?..Why Monty?..I thought  she  was already Filled in?

mnty Grinned at the CAmera  then waved   off Alexia,..Now..Now..You have to permit me  my little surprises..it is my show, after all... Looking at the three dragonettes. Monty Grinned...As you Know..Alexia  has made quite a name  for her  self on the "left Coast"...The NFL heard of your plans  for   cheerleader football for charity, and  Called me, about  handling the Production...My first thought was to Call Alexia..and see what she  could do from the west coat to the Midwest, while I worked on the  East Caost towards the Midwest....when all is said and done...8 teams will be torney... JAcksonVille , San Diego, NY Jets, Oakland, Denver, New Orleans, Miami, and Dallas..the  Other Teams said they would  join next year..but could not , for the Time the torney was set....

4 teams  will Compete  in San diego..play a round  robin, with the winner the West coast Champion....4 teams will Compete in Jacksonville, the same way..the Winner will be the EAst Coast Championship..the Two will meet...In Jacksonville this year..since the dragonettes where the   Girls who came up with the Idea..for the Over  All Cheerleader Championship...

..The rules  will be  8 man football..it will be flag fottball this year...and leave it  open for contact next year....Each Team will pick a local charity  to 'play for"...when the  round robins are over...all 4 teams will split the Proceeds evenly for thier charities...however...for the championship game, the Winner  will Get 60% of the proceeds..the Losers  40%...so?..if you can win the  round Robin you'll get 25% of the proceeds when the torney ends....if you win the championship, your  charity will gain another  60% from the championship game....everyone  will bring something home, but..the winners  will....take more....

Alexia  is  also goign to be  touring the cities  of those whose Cheerleader's will be in the torney...doing interviews with the cheerleaders and some of the  Players of that team.....the torney will be held a week after the   April draft..with the championship, the next week...

He  sat there with a grin...Alexia clapped her hands together  and smiled.

Re: Dragonette's  Thread

Celeste was more than glad to hear the news that more teams were joining with open options for the next year.  The charity information, even better, the end result...well not so much.

Celeste sat up with a bright smile.  I'm quite certain that the Amotas and Lu-Ti will be glad to hear the news, I know us, three, most certainly are.  Those of us that are currently Dragonettes will be proud to display our pride for our team.  Whether we win or lose, we are here for those less fortunate....

Celeste looked to the camera and screen where Alexia and her goons were looking back.

Not for own vanities.  Besides, we'll be having one of the best football wide receivers cheering us on...Adam Bronk!
