.. Once more the Dragon Fans in the  house  screamed... there were groans   and shouts  from the Jets...this was embarrassing ..a trick play that broke for big yards.

  The  Dragons  showed no Mercy, and Only a few grins from the players  as they ran down field , showed the players  were  having fun.. Some of the Jets  were passed by  dragons who were  running to line up.  Two Player  Just got  back, and were out of position

 Duke Snapped the  Ball , Fired the Ball where Bronk was supposed to   Cut... Bronk and the Ball go there about the same  Time, Catching the  Safety by surprise, since the  ROLB  , Just barely go back on sides.

 Adam   turned Up Field and Found   both safeties  closing in, he covered the ball and sprinted full  speed   between them.. all three collided ...bringing   a roar from the crowd.. but the Little  wide out , stumbled through  and fell down a few yards later... pounding the turf at his mussed chance to score.

 The Lined up again.. The Jets  DC was  screaming his brains  out   waving his head set like a magic wand..

  Klay too  a pitch and  ran hard to the left side.. bronk and Ben seals off their   guys and Klay slammed into the safety for a gain of 7.

  Duke took his time.. The Jets were locked in, they  couldn't  switch out player..  Duke   called for the  shift again with the  twins  on each side  he stepped back into the Pitsol..

  The twins  crossed  Like they did  before and Duke fired to  Bronk who made a sliding  Catch in the end zone  and was hit , high By the safety.. He held On to the Ball and Flags  few into the air... Duce, the  Safety  Helped  Him Up patting him on the Helmet , Bronk just  Grinned and said  something that made the  Safety shake his head  and  Grin

 Again the dragons  fans   roared their  trade mark ( and annoying , if you aren't a Dragon Fan) roar.

  Adam Held onto the BAll as he  Jogged  to the Sideline.. He held his Ball up towards a section  of the stands were the   Sword Dancers sat and they  were jumping around  waving.

  Smokey took the Filed for the Kick.. it wobbled its  way through...

  The Team lined up  Smokey was grinning as  the ref  said something to him, then placed the ball on the   tee.

   He raised his arm   and at the whistled he lopped towards the Ball. Booming it as high as  anyone say a Kick off before.... But...against the wind.. it meant the ball wouldn't reach the End Zone...

  The Jets Up men Moved to engage what Player there  could, but the  Dragon's  had a firm...fast rule, to run by the first wave.. and   take on...or take out.. the second wave.

 One of the frustrated  up men Hit Smokey, Just because... and the  Lanky   punter   looked like a rag doll..

 The Ref  Looked at the Lineman  who held out his  hands..and Laughed while smokley  sat there. looking down field..

   The  Retrun man  tried to stay the course3. to  keep in the middle. he fielded the ball at the 6..but  by the time he had it the Clash of  pads and helmets were  in his  ear as the sea of white  Heresy  closed in on him...

 Jers  and Emma  Broke in.. Santos only closed a little, but  went  pass a yard or so to  keep contain...

Emma rushed towards the return man, but perhaps the Jets had learned from the previous series. There were two men who rushed up to meet her and the three collided. Bright, however, was left free and he was able to bring down the return man while Emma and the two opposing team members struggled against each other until the whistle blew.

  Hollen and the rest of the Offense  came out a bit slower then they normally do

  Cal called the Dragon Fire Blitz  again... But  Hollen caught it... checking to a draw play that netted one  yard, before Payne  ended it.

   The  next call was a fake dragon Fire, and drop into  Zones..

 Hollen fakes a Power   right, and  rolled to his left.. he  fakes  to the outside, it was good  enough  to draw worth out of his Zobe  as Lillyroy split   worth  and Emma..Hollen's shoulder's  squared  and he fired  a deep pass down the Middle  tot eh Big Tight End...

 It was  Up to Emma to stop him from  doing his   'Ben Hope" impersonation

Emma was there, but sometimes, you just get beat. It just always means big yards when the safety gets beat on a play.

The pass was up again, but Emma takes a half step too many and the tight end is able to snatch the ball before her.  She gets a hand on his shoulder but he's able to shake the woman off as he turns and takes it all the way back to the end zone, Emma hot on his tail the entire time.

   Killyroy  ran, fast  for a big guy with Long strides...

   Worth tries to recover as well.. but he was   way out of Postsion  Tibbs and Santos   had  settled into their Zones, and had no chance.

 73 yards..and 6 Points.. The  Stadium exploded  ... the Noise wasn'[t near as loud at Dragon stadium ( though  the 'lair'  had  be designed to refocus noised back to the field ) But the Muisc  was  Playing  and Jets fans danced in the   seats... The PAT  caused  More roars   as the Gap was Closed...

  Bronk  and  Klay went  back out to wait on the kick...

  The Ball   was Kicked to  Klay's  side and he   Ran towards  Adam... Adam angled up field   and   crashed Head  Long into the  first Green Jersey that popped through the  2nd line, Klay followed him and  cut  before he was hit  and Brought  down at the  D 29.

   Adam and Klay statyed on the filed , waiting for Duke  and the rest of  the O to come out.....

  Reaching  the Huddle,..Business  as usual... Move the  Ball..fast and hard... score.... Lets go....Game Plan..find the holes..

  Movign up to the LIke  quickly, The dragons set up..then Shifted... the defense  had  adjusted,  The Outside   Linebackers  had  been replayed  with safeties .. only  Three down linemen.. and  2  inside   Linebackers.

 Miles  was  calling out the blocking as soon as he  saw the  2  Inside LBs ...

  Duke  called  for the Ball... he wasn't even  surprised  when then Ran a Zero Blitz...no one..at all.. in the Defensive Back field...all 11 Men  Rushed..which could be a problem..if you weren't  Coached   Right....

  Both  Backs   stopped   and    slammed into  Blitzers.. the O-line shoved   defensive  Players into each other.. Bt the  time the regular safeties  hit   the O-Line  the  BAll was gone...

  Adam Saw the  Safety leave  and  sprinted up   field.... as did  Mackins... As Did  Ben   The whole stadium... including  the Owners from both teams stood   as Duke  was Buried  under Green Jerseys  And the BAll Arc  High and Deep  down field...

Legs pounding so hard they blurred, Ben fled down the field as if his life depended on it, watching the ball out of the corner of his eye. At just the right moment, he reached out one of his long arms and snatched it out of the sky.

Tucking it in, he pounded onwards towards the endzone finding plenty of open space to cross the line.

TOUCHDOWN!!!

He capered as the flags went up. Dragons fans would recognise the Dragon Stomp. The home fans probably wondered what that mad capering fool was doing, but Ben didn't care. They'd tried to shut him down at the beginning of the game, which only made getting the TD even sweeter.

He trotted back and to the sidelines to let the PAT team come on, grinning so broadly it seemed that the grin would escape his facecage.

   Adam  was Jumping  in the  air  as the Ball flew  down the  Middle of the  Field... MAckins already had his  hands in the air  as the BAll came  down into Ben's  Hands...

  And  all the Jets  could do was  watch...

 The Two safeties had hit  Duke  after the throw, but not late enough , for a flay.. they helped Duke  up... all three of them were looking  at the other   endzone's screens, everyone else looked down filed, whether it  was because  of the  screen, or trying to see Ben.. was anyone's Guess...

 the Area  where the Line of scrimmage  was. exploded in white  Jereseys running down the Field to meet Ben.. while  Miles   and Duke  Jogged  slowly  grinning and Talking...


 the   stadium was almost dead  silent... only the pockets of Dragon fans could be heard... and the   Cheers from the Dragonettes...

 as Ben neared the sidelines he could hear , in the stands,..Damn  Bloody  Good Show!...  The Guy who got him to sign his Picture  was  waving  a Dragon Hat  around..Dragon 'foam finger'.. and  a Program from the game.

Ben waved to the Scottish fan.

"Glad you came, Perch Elden! Enjoying the game?" he called up to him.

  The Guy Held up his Goodies  and Nodded as he yelled down.....Not quite Rugby...But  it'll do!

 The  Ball was boomed down  Filed, Smokey   tried to get it  as High as he  could.   The  return man  was well on the left side of the field,  filed  the ball at the 8!  he was brought  down  by Bright on the J-34

 As the kicking team  came off the field  , Smokey  was stopped by Fry.....not...that...high....

  Smokey  looked forlorn,..Man!.. I don't like this kicking gig!

  Cal looked at his defense  he said,..this is  becoming a long  GAme for the Jets.... we have to Punish them.. we have to make them lose  heart..WE WANT them to  'get the game over with'... so...Play hard... and use your  heads!

 ..Reese.. finish out the 1st Quarter, and we'll ask Bing  what he wants to do...

"Alright coach," Emma said as she went to join the defense in the huddle. She'd get basically a near full quarter in for her first game, so she wasn't complaining, that was for certain. Though she expected Bing would want to get in if he could still play well enough.

  The  defense  was  now  into    full Zone now, counting on the 4  Down linemen to  try and get to the QB...

 Payne  was  dancing in and   out  ..Wheeler  and Dalton messing with the QB's head  by taking   steps up and  Back

  Santos  and Tibbs  were feeling it.. stepping up into the face of the WRS to   Jam then hard to slow their  release off the line

  Killroy was  getting off the line for  free... the price you  paid to keep the heat on in the back field, hoping to force throws  into the Middle..or  drop off to the backs  The First play was   rough, a screen to the  BAck on Wheeler's Side.. Wheeler   Crushed the  WR who tried to Block him Forcing the back to bounce out side and Santos    hit him, wrapped up  and they  both fell out of bounds for a 2 YArd loss.

  The Jets  took their  time in the Huddle..fans booed.. they Lined up.. a draw play.... the run picked up 3... Payne ended the run with Help from  Kane

 Fans   Booed louder.. at the play, and  at the  time wasting  the  Jets  were doing with Play calling

    This  time ,  Hollen Faked the Screen left, and Fired the Ball into Killroy..who was met By worth  and  Emma, gain of  6...

 The  Crowd screamed  for the team to Go for it... they screamed louder when the Punt  Team  Came On..

  Mik was sent  back to handle the BAll...and to test out his knee.

 The  Ball was  boomed.. ( boos the whole time)..  Mik settled  under it  at the 12.. the Frist Guy almost  clocked him, but he  turned  sideways,  then broke Up field like a  lighting bolt... The Mik  who scared CFL players to death in open  field was  there  again.. he was slammed  down after  a 10 yard  return, but he got up like he scored in the Super bowl!

 Sims  waved Mik to stay out and   Gave Klay a rest.

  The  team   Huddle up ,  Duke  gave them  Sim's take on what he wanted to accomplish this series...

  Then they Ran to the   Ball..  they set Quickly. Duke Snapped it on 'first sound' , the LBs were caught in their Shift,  a Power   Play with Mik following  Lucas through the Hole  between  Miles  and Sloan Opened up.... Lucas    Labeled  Grant and Mik  broke  past the second Level.., The free Safety made a dive  and  tripped him up at  the Dragon 46.

 The sideline  Hooted  and hollered at the 24  yard burst, Knowing the  injuries their  teammate had been fighting.

    Mik was  given a   pitch   left this  time...  Bronk Buried   the DB on the sidelines.. Ben sealed  the   DE.. Mik was  feeling his oats  and did a jump  cut on his 'hurt' leg, The  LB fell forward with nothing but air.. and the Safety had to clean him up...gaind of 9

     DUke  faked  the Pitch left to Mik,    turned his  shoulders  to Bronk and faked, then, with  Quick feet , reset himself and  fired the  Ball to Mackins  for a gain  of 11.

  Running up to the Line, like it was a 2 minute drill..  Duke Faked  the  wrap around  to Lucas  and fired the BAll into Ben's chest.. the Quarter ended with the  dragons on the Jet's 24.

    The offense went over to the sidlelines  as they switched   ends  of the  field...

  as , almost , always. The Dragons  went  straight to the Line.  Duke stepped  back and   called a shift..

   At the Snap     Bronk came  running  down the line , duke  flipped him a forward  pass,  Adam  planted a foot    hard  and  squeezed through  a  hole between Sloan and Maller.. when he popped out  the other   side,  Havers  almost beheaded him after a gian of  4.

  Lining  Up quickly, the Jets  were getting used to this, and  not trying to sub from this far away from the 'box' Duke  dropped  Back   and had to roll to his  right.. Lucas made a chip block and turned duke hit him with a  safety valve pass  for a  Pick up of  4 more..

  Duke   faked the next play to  Mik  then  Fired the   BVall out to Stalls, the BAll , Stalls  and  the CB  are  met at the same  place  for an incomplete pass.

   Duke  Looked to the  sidelines..  Sims  sent Smokey in to kick the FG..

   The Crowd  was  screaming and hollering  everything  from  'miss it'..to .."block that kick'.. to  "kill the kicker! '

   Smokey gave   Stalls the nod and the ball came  back, placed  down  and Smokey  hit it   low... The Jets  D- Line  Jumped up and Blasted it  back to  Stalls  who was  crushed  by the    rush.

   Smokey  was bent over holding  his head.. Stalls Got Up and Flipped the ball to the official. and  gave  Smokey a pat,   Smokey looked miserable...

Emma ran onto the field with the rest of the defense. She didn't expect to still be out here in the second quarter, but that was the way the ball bounced. Either way, for the most part she didn't think she had been playing too badly so far. At the very least she hadn't been pulled for someone else to play her spot.

   Worth got the  Team settled into place... Bright was in for Santos on  Emma's  side ( defense left).... Taylor was in for Tibbs on  Worth's side.... Base  4-3..no blitz...

 This time  he  faked the run on first, Popped up and hit Killroy in the Middle, where Emma  and  Worth Combined on the stope..gain of 12

Worth called the  Same  rotating Zone.. this Time, Hollen faked the pass to Killroy and the   WR  had  run  under Worth from  his own side... He had  'grown roots"  and the reciver was waving his hand like a madman... Emma saw the  fellow break back The Ball was Launched toward sher sidelines, but behind her.. a race for the  ball.. the  WR.. or Emma...

This was a deep pass. Emma could see the quarterback was starting to get some of his confidence back as the offense had been making steady gains on this drive so far. There was just something in the quarterback's eyes that told her it was time to be aware of the deep play.

She was able to tell the fake pass to Killroy was a fake the moment the quarterback started his arm motion, even as she was moving. It didn't have the right angle and it didn't have the right amount of force to be an actual pass, so she didn't bite on it. She saw the wide receiver who was waving his hands and started off quickly in the direction of those sidelines. She saw the quarterback make the throwing motion in that direction and determined that he was going for that deep pass. It'd be around the ten yard line.

She had more than enough speed to get there in time. There was no way the receiver was going to get that ball. The Jets hadn't quite started respecting her properly yet, and she was going to make them pay for that lack of respect.

The woman glanced back and saw she was in perfect position to take the ball away if she kept running right towards a direct collision with the wide receiver. But that would risk the ball getting jostled out or her missing it. In this case, using her height and strength was the correct play.  She jumped high into the air somewhere between the fifteen and the ten yard line, twisting and turning to face the ball and snag it right out of mid-air. She came down right around the ten yard line, back to the receiver as she kept both feet inbounds.

Normally, you didn't want to give your opponent a free shot at your back, but Emma had planned for this. As expected, the wide receiver attempted to crash directly into her back. But as she landed she twisted hard to the right which caused the man to be thrown off her back and out of bounds while her feet stayed clearly inbounds.

Emma then took off down the sideline, making it about fifteen yards before another pair of wide receivers crossed the field and crashed into her. She managed to drag them another seven yards (with the help of some very fancy footwork on her end to stay inbounds) before they finally managed to wrap her up and tackle her out of bounds after approximately a twenty-two yard interception return.

  The   Defense  swarmed  Emma Pounding  her on the pads  and Helmet..  the   dragons on the sideline  had erupted   into  cheers as the drive  was snuffed out.

   Hollan  jerk his helmet straps off in disgust as he looked up at the reply shaking his  head.

Emma celebrated along with the rest of the defense as much as she could before the defense, as a unit, made its way back to the sidelines. So far she'd done a reasonable job, she thought, at hurting the foe's passing attack, and against the Dragons and their high-powered offense, if your passing attack was being cut off you'd be in trouble.

She was anticipating more passes to deal with the way the game was going, especially if the Dragons answered with a score on this drive.

 In the Huddle,  Duke looked a little determined....Ok?.. Coach wants us  to go  down town on this.. I'd  rsther  chew them up?... But he's the coach ..so  Mik?   Lucas.. stay home and help Block if needed.. take your  flats  if you are not... Bronk... Stalls  and Ben?...9..9..9.. straight up fly routes.. lets  see if  we  can torch them....

 Sloan chuckles,..Man?.. and that Caoch is Sims's friend?....

 Bronk   just said ,..no one's friends  with the other   side, until the 4th quarter  reads  zeros on the clock...

 ..right.. lets  either put them away.. or see what we can get...

  Duke  went  up to the Line, and dropped back into the Gun.. he   Made  Mik  move.. more  for window dressing , then anything  else....

 when the Ball was snapped  the Jets  dropped into Zones...

 Duke   took  another step back.. stepped up  and let the Ball go as the Crowd  gasped....

Ben nodded, grinned, and took his place, dropping into his three-point stance.

At the snap he was off, running his fly route with single-minded determination. Head swivelling to keep an eye on the D and the ball and suitable gaps...

... the ball barrelled its way downfield, straight into Ben's hands. He tucked it under his arm, hunched around it and made for the endzone.

A couple of Jets came close, but not close enough as Ben jinked and sped by them, leaving them in his wake. Entering the endzone, he had leisure to pick his spot.

Ben did a Dragon Stomp as he made his way back down the field.
