  The Door  Opened.. Long was  on a treadmill. Ralston  was  on a  pec machine and Alts  was  lifting.

  As Mik  and  Adam entered, Alts   say up....hey>  Book worm? aren't you supposed to be  in class  , did you polish Sim's  Apple  today?

 they all laughed   except  Mik and   Adam, Miks stood with his arms  crossed,  giving his head a slow shake.

 Turnign to Long, Adam said,Hey Long?  there's a weight  limit on that  machine, you break it, you bought it...

The  OC , who was indeed, a bit over  weight..stopped  and stepped  off the machine. Mik looked  at him  , closed his eyes  and  shook his head  'no'...

Following the walk-throughs on the field, Ben went down to the pool for a swim. He enjoyed swimming almost as much as running... and both were good for building up his stamina and general cardio. And those helped with his performance on the field.

Anyway, swimming was fun.

By the time he'd reached college he was already committed to football, but he sometimes wondered how things would have turned out if he'd done track or swimming instead. He'd had a couple of friends at college who had started off as swimmers, and now were doing triathlon quite successfully - shooting at slots on the Olympic team, last he'd heard. Maybe he should check in with them. Last he'd heard, Isaac was involved in an IT start-up in California (like fleas on dogs, those were!) and Jesse was in law school, he wasn't sure where.

By then he'd had a good swim, so he climbed out and dried off before getting dressed. He checked his phone to see if Lu-Ti had responded yet.

From Meetings

After a quick change, Lindsey entered the stadium gym. It was a great facility with state of the art equipment, but it was also empty. Occasional ass slaps aside, she found she preferred the more populated commercial gym. Not for the gym, but for the other people. A therapist - or snide rival - might point out that she likes the audience. At some level she does, sometimes, but mostly it's really just that empty places feel cold and desolate, no matter how nice they are.

As she went through her workout, Lindsey sometimes caught herself cheating. It was less that she wasn't doing everything she should, but she did catch herself not stretching as far, mot minding her form, and sometimes quitting a set a second or two early. With no eyes on her, she didn't have the instinctive urge to look as perfect as she could. As a remedy, she set up her phone and videoed herself. It wasn't the same, but on occasion she did blackmail herself, threatening to put that video on YouTube if she didn't shape up. It mostly worked.

Somehow, the time got away from her. By the time she got to the elliptical, she was behind by ten minutes. To make it up, she put in another accelerated and more rigorous session. By the time she was done, she about melted off the machine, and had to lay out on the floor to catch her breath. Zoning out a couple times, she laid there unable to move until almost ten o'clock. She still found it hard to move, but the Collins interview was in twenty minutes and she looked like she had just spilled out of a drain pipe. Groaning to her feet, Lindsey grabbed her phone and towel and staggered back to the locker room.

In the gym Lindsey started her routine like she always did. She took time stretching doing calisthenics.

"I think we need to organize another girls night out. What do you think, Mindy?"

 Jenny entered the Gym...I need  to get a  real spot  in NJS? I mean? this gig isn't bad? but  how long  before they think they  don't  need me?

 Mindy. looks across the way at  Lindsey,I don['t know? That Eddie  guy is headed for a tail spin, and he'll take KAte with him.. there's two spots opened there

"You're doing great, Jenny." Lindsey was doing a super wide split and stretching down on her left leg. "Just hang in there. EG is making sure you pay your dues. Even if Kate and Eddie don't go anywhere, I heard the Amotas want NJS to have more nationwide appeal. That means more spots. Do you want broadcast, or more investigative type stuff?" Jenny was smart and ambitious. Se had the looks for the camera, but her personality was a bit too no nonsense sometimes. Staying low to the ground, Lindsey swung her torso to the right leg. "Just be patient. Your opportunity will come." Swinging to the center, she reached forward with her torso against the ground making a perfect T with her legs straight out to either side and no gap between any part of her and the floor.

"Have you talked to EG about it?"

   Jenny was doing toros   bends   and  swivels , he  Blonde poney tail flipping around.

  No?  I'm too  new. I just happened to be in the right place at the right  time to get thi gig..I think Kate was  supsoed to add that to her tool box...and? I don't want EG to think   I'm ungrateful.  Heck.. i get to see  alot of stuff no one else does?..and when i come here , i get to see these  guys? Mik and Adam  could be a comedy time. except  on the field, then they are  damned assassins..  Duke, Payne  heather ? where else  fdo you find people like this?

  Mindy  ran on the treadmills to  loosen up.You're not kidding.. The Titans acted like  a pro football team, but they are more like  frat boys.... you come here, and they have  pep rallies  and  Victory parties, yet..they are more professional..and yeah.. they got great gys to look at down here.

"I can't argue with that." Lindsey was standing now on one leg, doing a ballet stretch, pulling the other leg all the way up to where she could lean her head against it. After ten seconds she did the other leg. "The guys on this team are all gorgeous. I mean there are hot guys on on other teams too, but it's like the dragons recruit for it. And they're nice. Nice isn't a requirement all the time, but it's refreshing. Some of them are maybe too nice. I honestly don't know how some of them are single." She shifted to hand stand splits.

 Mindy  gives a shrug,... well? maybe its the old  thing , where  we throw  away nice guys? I've seen it  happen. Look atvAdam.. two hot looking.. well? Linda is  hot looking, Lana  has that hair thing going on...

 Jenny  Giggles, Yeah? what's up with that.. she did tome it  down  after her and the Hot Dang guy merged  bands. didn't want to scare the red necks away

 point is? they tossed him..right?  I don't see that?  its  like flushing the winning lottery ticket down the drain.

 Jenny snorts,I've met  'ok guys'. Can't  really say  I ever  met  a Nice  guy , until i saw some of these guys.. Ben, Duke, Payne.. they are  locks for   'spouse ofnthe week".. Mik, Adam, Smokey, theyb have thier weird things, but they don't try to sell themselevs , like a used car  dealer.

Linsdey was now skipping rope. "They don't try to sell themselves at all. Sure there are women who throw themselves at men, but them not taking an interest? I get it I guess. Why work for it when it's coming for free, but that's not being nice. Either they just don't care where it's coming from, or they just kinda simpy and wouldn't be getting any women if they weren't jumping into their laps. Guys are supposed to chase. That's how it works. There's nothing wrong with that. Chasing doesn't mean they have to be a Steele or an Eddie. I mean seriously, guys, do you really want a guy who gives up after a little resistance? Do you really want to give in just because the guy has a great one liner or a cute back-flip? A guy who chases you when he has lots of easy beautiful options is a guy that wants you, and not just any cookie at the top of the jar."

"Even Adam didn't exactly chase me. But he did show specific interest. Although, at the time, he was still technically with Linda. I guess that makes me a Jezebel."

 Mindy  waved her  had  as she  stepped off the  treadmill grabbing her  towel  and  wip0ing her face.

 I'm tired of being chased... I like it when guys  leave  , when i brush them off. one the very...very,,rare  chance  that  there is someone  that might  catch my interest,, i won't  play the game, .. I'm tired of the game... she looks a bit sad.

 Jenny  shrugs, as she unrolls  the 'ladder'  and  begins the foot  exercises, , white sneakers   moving  fast as most DB and  WRs  in practice... I blow them off.. i had   enough crap with guys  at  invitationals . not  giving a  damn about how well i ran, but  more  interested in  unitard, or shorts.

 Mindy, shok her head, as she smiled at  Lindsey,Talk about , 'right place, right time?"

 Jeny paused    as she  watched the  clock  for her   10 second break  between reps.So? Adam's a Dog?

 Mindy frowned at Jenny.

"Hey, to each her own. Chose what' best for you, but there are consequences to every way. You're letting your bad experiences with a minority of guys cloud your vision. I guarantee you have guys in your friend zone that would be great boyfriends, but you won't give them the opportunity. Me? I like to be chased. And I want to see that they aren't simps that let me do all the choosing.."

Lindsey Laughed at Jenny. "No. Adam isn't a dog. He wasn't happy, and really nothing happened until after he called to break up with her."  Well there was a kiss, but there were extenuating circumstances. "Look. Linda basically threw herself at him. They were supposedly friends, but then she called out Lana for cheating on him and then declared herself his girlfriend. Then she barely spent time with him. And then she was cheating on him the whole time. So, when we were getting along he decided that there were better options out there. So he called her to break it off an found out that she wasn't working on a project like she said she was. She was in Aruba with Max Fline going to orgies. So after all that, we started an official relationship." It was still kinda dicey, but all things considered....

The conversation got lighter for the rest of the workout. Lindsey finished on the treadmill, then went to the locker room to shower and change. There were stories to file, and then there was the Cindy and Lissy interview to prep for.

After a quick change at the Lockers, Lindsey and Mindy entered the Gym. The place was empty as it usually was at barely past seven AM, so they had the place to themselves. Lindsey started like she usually did with a full stretching routine in the open calisthenics area.

"So, what new Chica? Good job on deciphering the Havers enigma."

  Mindy shrugs.Not too much. Just the studio and Dragon stuff.... That Havers  thing,  the way Adam was  flipping through those slides. I noticed that guy never  moved..so i asked.

 I used to watch  Adam   with Mik or Ben  when i stopped over..the  dertails  sheesh.. i bet he knows  what they ate for  dinner?..but he was looking for something  'big"..i just saw a guy standing there.

"Maybe." Lindsey was in a full split stretching over to her left foot. "But it was exactly what needed to be seen. Sometimes it takes a new perspective to spot the obvious. I'm sure it helped." Over to the right. "Maybe Sims will give you MVP for the game."

"So, I'm going to be gone all day after the meeting tomorrow. I'll be doing a modeling gig on the Pirate Cruise." She shifted to the center, reaching out and flexing her split past horizontal "I'll have Jenny cover the practices and write the column. If you could help her out that would be much appreciated. There was another shoot for Natalie Comfort in Jamaica. They actually asked for me by name, but it would have taken all weekend and I can't miss the title game." She closed and crossed her legs, flipping onto her back like it was a dance move. Throwing a leg over she stretched her lower back and hips with her shoulder flat on the floor with her right shin as flat on the floor to her left side. "I was bummed, but I expect there'll be more opportunities."

  Mindy  nods  and Shrugs,Its a big name..right? but sometimes they need to be  told they aren't   as important as they think they are..  If they liked you to call you..they'll call again? Unless they are dumbasses  and don';t know what a Title game is... I'll Help Jenny. Bob and Bill will be here  too..Ji;; will be here from NFL  Network.. she'll be  all over the place. it will be  like Christmas  for her.

Lindsey rolled her eyes at Jill's name. Her left leg was over on her right side. "I'm sure she's a very nice person. I mean, she's a Dragon super fan, like us, but keep her out of Adam's locker. I can just imagine her popping out to surprise him wearing nothing but a big green bow."

With her legs straight out in front, Lindsey folded forward, touching her head to the floor between her knees. "Am I being too catty? I don't really have the right, I know, but every time I see her I feel like she's going to shudder out an orgasm when she says the name Bomb."

"Oh I have to tell you about the commercial Carlton dreamed up. We'll be doing it on Friday."

 Mindy Giggled,I like the way she handles  her show..and? Bragging up the Dragons is a plus..makes up for that Bills  guy, he drives me nuts.

 Yeah?  But  there's no worry  , right?. He  never left you for any one? he's not going to Leave Sage  for anyone?.. If she is nice when she gets here, he  treat her good, if she's a Dumbass in  real life, she'll  get treated like  Lacy

 Rumors  of  the Commercial is all I heard.. who's all in it.

Lindsey switched to the bench, stretching backwards over it, using a dumbbell weight to arch back.

"It'll be me, Sage and Adam. And an announcer. Basically, there's a new version of the Bomb Burger with Bacon. I'll be representing one, and Sage the other. Adam will be trying to choose which one he wants. Then the announcer will tell him that he doesn't have to choose, he can have both."

Using the weight to keep her in place, Lindsey started doing straight up leg lifts.

"At first I was thinking that it was maybe suggesting the wrong thing, but then I decided that it's just fiction. Cute fiction, but still fiction. Acting isn't real. So I was like hell yeah, let's do it. It's actually funny."

  Mindy Giggled...do you know how many fans  that will reach!./. Your Fans, Sages  Fans , Adams  fans ..Big King Burger Fans..and  people  who liked  you and Adam  toegther will  love it..and those who like Sage and Adam will like it... Linda  won;t like it! she giggled.

Lindsey laughed about Linda. "That's reason enough to do it."

"So that will be the first production out of Dragon Studios. After the Superbowl, we'll kick off a couple movie projects. One fantasy and one SciFi. It's ambitious, but our director thinks he can pull it off. We had the unveiling yesterday. Carlton and Orato were there, along with Yuto. Our director is Paulo Sancho. He's ruffled a lot of feathers by succeeding doing things his way. And there were a couple of the actors there. Cole Hamilton and Harley Donovan. Cole is great. Harley... she's interesting. Impressive as hell, but a bit high on herself. But if I was in a bad part of town, I wouldn't mind if she was there with me. Chick is a bad ass."

  well..I hope it does  well..  since they sent  Lark packing,  I'd like to see her face presed up against the glass, wishing she was here. she snorted,..Mik still thinks  she's hot.

"Yeah, well, she's beautiful." Lindsey moved on to the jump rope, skipping as she talked. "I mean, let's be honest here. But she's...I don't know...Some kind of control freak. I'm so glad to be out from under her thumb. Of course now Carlton Cross is exactly in her place, but somehow I don't feel the same about him. I guess I trust him more."

"I have a date tonight with Wade." She forced her breathing to be rhythmic and in time with the beat of the rope "We're going to see Space Fire at the plex. Maybe dinner after. I'm looking forward to that. He came by this morning to tell me that he's been looking forward to it also. It should be fun."

 Mindy   smiles  a bit.Mik like him, that commercial we did was dun.. it  sounds  Like Carlson   is  using  Adam like a comic  front man?. No serious  undertones , just  fun and hawking burgers.


 Wade.. wow.. he's a big guy... He seems  nice. Him and  his Buddies  are mad  about somehting..whatever it is , Caoch has to get rid of  it. This is a bad  time to have something  rotten in the locker  room.
