Reminds me of the captain I had in my old Traveller game, whose favourite snack was choco-dipped bacon strips.  :D  Oh, and on one occasion he had a double-bacon choco-shake... all the goodness of bacon and chocolate in one delicious milkshake.

I'm...not quite sure how I feel about that.  I mean, I love chocolate.  And I love bacon.  But I don't like my bacon with maple syrup, which is the only form of sweetened bacon I've had.

Maybe, with dark chocolate...a little less sugary, with just a hint of bitter flavor to it...

I only passed on the 'vegan'   (I did use 'bit', not 'cake', in my statement...*grin*)  What is there in chocolate cake that would have to change to be vegan, anyway?  (I don't bake much...)

My wife has a number of serious digestive issues (two of which being eggs and dairy), so she often makes vegan versions of bakes goods.

So I'd never turn my nose up at a vegan anything.

That happened to me a couple of jobs ago. It was a rough scene. I went from being able to manage my operation on my lunch hour to not at all.

I've been doing the majority of my posting on my phone for a few years, now...which works, but it's far from ideal (especially since I have an older smartphone with a smaller screen and fingertips that are slightly larger than the keys appear on the touch-screen...)

Regular posts, I can usually manage...but I've long ago given up on things like editing character sheets.

I'm amazed you still colour your dialogue on your phone. I can manage to post. A little. But if I had to format anything I'd tear my own hair out.

It took me a while to figure out how to do it...and I don't know if it's as easy on iPhone as it is Android.  It's not too bad, though...just selecting a text color and typing, in very similar fashion to doing italics or strike-through, etc, with the buttons under the compose window.

Well, I'd been operating on the assumption that mine was voice-activated...that boom would have been loud enough to activate it.  Might have been loud enough to destroy the mic on all of them...

Temporary deafness... overloaded voice activation systems... being stunned, confused and disoriented...

There are any number of reasons that the group in the basement are not communicating.

None of which would, of course, prevent Shard trying to make contact if she wanted to...

I'm fine with that!  :D

For making contact, Shard has always been 'don't second-guess or bug the team in the field unless there is a problem'.  And meta-gaming a call in right when something went wrong always felt bad for me.  :(
