Re: Crunch A.K.A System Mechanics
Hah, I just broke Crane Style :3

Martial Arts Essence Flow
Starmetal Perfected Kata Bracers
Seven-Jeweled Peacock Fans (Each set with one of Seven-Leaping Dragon Stone and the other with a Precision of Form Gemstone)

After you Combo-OK activate the Form Charm, the charms benefit from -2m (minimum 1/2), then -2m (Minimum 1)

You can add in the excellency to the combo-free style where you see fit, can defend others while warding off blows, and the mote costs for Crossed-Wings Denial can outlast most combats before it starts becoming too pricy.

1st - 0m
2nd - 1m
3rd - 1m
4th - 1m
5th - 1m
6th - 1m
7th and beyond +1m each
And Wings Held To The Sky becomes affordable at 2m.

Re: Crunch A.K.A System Mechanics
Is this where you would prefer potential House Rules, boss?

Or is this just a discussion of system mechanics as they are?

Man, what I love about threads like this regarding Exalted is how retarded I feel when I realise I have no idea how to break anything.

It's a heavy burden, being the retarded one in the (virtual) room :)

A Beginner's Guide to Charms
Hey - charms and combos are confusing. And yeah, many people hate the combo rules for exalted. Is there anywhere on the net that anyone has found which helps deal with the compexity?

Re: A Beginner's Guide to Charms
I, more or less, dislike that they have to be built to disallow some of the broken things, so they don't let you save time.

Re: A Beginner's Guide to Charms
I dont get you. But I don't agree that all combos are bad - I quite like them, even if I have only made one up, lol.

Re: A Beginner's Guide to Charms
You can't combine two things that take up time; two simple charms.

Re: A Beginner's Guide to Charms
In some cases it's a little silly, in other cases it saves the system from nuclear bomb levels of game balance threatening power.

Re: A Beginner's Guide to Charms
But combos are ment to be staggering wonderful abilities that totally kick ass, not your everyday charms...
