Re: OOC: Off-Topic Posts II
In reply to Tech. Sgt. Airen Crichton (msg #49):
Player attrition van be very disheartening as a GM. I find that many (some but not all) internet games that start with lots of players have a high rate of attrition.
In a couple games (including this one) I had all but a few players drop out. I decided that if needed, I would run a game with one person and make it the best damn game I could. Back in the old days, before the Internet, "solo" games weren't uncommon and smaller games do have a lot of advantages.
Is this game that needs active players DL: HoE? If so, I would consider switching from "Tales of the Reckoning" in order to lend a hand. TotR has a lot of players now and I would enjoy playing with Marc (which will happen either way, of course).
[Private to Tech. Sgt. Airen Crichton: You're kind of lucky, I've been allowing only a couple Arcane characters in this game and one slot came open when Arthur died. Mainly, this is to keep things a little even and not have the focus on the Arcane. Plus, I'm lazy and I didn't want to spend a massive amount of effort reading and memorising the rules and background for Arcane characters.]
