Re: The Destroyer
In reply to Roadkill (msg #39):
Although the rain had slowed in the predawn hour, it hadn't stopped entirely. This served to muffle sounds more than a few feet away.
Nearby, in the double-wide trailer, Jason awoke to Roadkill's mumbled warning. Eyes closed, Trickster lay beside Rowan but pricked up his ears. Everyone else slept on, if uneasily.
Inside the sleeper, Roadkill realised it couldn't possibly be the shy semi-feral coyote that Rowan befriended when a hand reached through the side window shutter (which he'd locked as a matter of course) and slid back the bolt on the passenger side door, unsecuring it.
Marshall's Note: Due to a host of factors the rig, like most, is secured by deadbolts, not mechanical or electronic key locks (which are rare after the Final War).
Roadkill and Jason need to make Quickness checks.
Rowan, Smoker, Sullivan, Jane and Peter can make Fair (TN 5) Cognition checks to be awake and aware enough to react next turn.
