Not a problem! My wife Michelle just gave birth to a healthy baby girl, mum and baby are doing fine. So things will be a little busy for me as well.

Soon after she was born the baby fell asleep and began gently snoring. It was kind of high-pitched burbling and my mum said it sounded like she was purring. Michelle commented that our cat, Miska, told her she thought we were going to have a kitten and therefore was right!

Re: Congratz

Glad to see that somebody had good news this weekend!  Congrats on the new addition and it is such a cute story about the baby falling right asleep.  May she keep that up so you are not kept up all night long.  :)

Of course now I want to see pictures.  :)

Re: Congratz

Wonderful :)

Here's a hint: when administering a night-time feed, keep it all business. Don't play or chat with her, just feed, attend to tail if needed and tuck her up again. If you can, don't even put the light on. Save the interaction for daytime. This helps them to get through the 'cannot sleep through the night' phase faster... or at least, it worked with mine.

Congrats Tony. As for sleeping best advice I ever gave was some I received about sleep. Catch what you can when you can. Night time feeds are a pain. Even when you do no lights, no noise, and minimal interaction you will lose sleep. That first three day bender of wakefulness is great. The 85th is just tedious.

Hmm according to my friend it is possible for the father to sleep through the baby crying in the same room!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hmm Yea right, me I think he had it down pat so his wife had to get up.

Hm game we are all on convoy pay Last note I had of this was still to be paid

(Don't worry lady, you'll get standard pay. $20 a day, Convoy scrip.")

In reply to Rowan Dawson (msg # 762):

I am a light sleeper so I guess I'm screwed. She is very quiet and last night slept for 4 hours before being woken for a feeding.

You've been employed by the Convoy in some sense for 25 days, so your back pay was roughly $500. That has been included into the lump sum people were paid out as this includes not just Convoy pay but pay for escorting Simon, saving the Mayor and a general danger pay bonus. This came to an even $2000. (This includes Peter, Jane, Smoker and Col Schaeffer) As of now you are paid up and will receive no more back pay. (Dakota and Jason get $1000, Vundra and Brother Edgar $500.) It's also implied this money is due to your willingness to go after the Black Hats and rescue Simon.

They would prefer to have Smoker stay for a couple days of observation while his hand heals up, so they are probably not going to offer to discharge him early.

He has money.

I decided it was important to give Smoker the chance to participate so the posse is still in the hospital. You can go to the armoury first, then guide after. Or vice-versa.
