Whoever Fights Monsters...

Junkyard Hilton Conference Rooms, 6th (top) floor.

The summit meeting started off well enough. There were introductions of the various factions by Mayor Turner of Junkyard. There were Junkers from the Chamber and the local Junker community, the Convoy sent Corndog (Goose's slightly weaselly 2nd-in-command), Brother Edgar of the Doomsayers, Colonel Meadows and the Oil Town delegation from Texas. Other soldiers were there, leftovers from the War: a British soldier, a Russians, a German and Mexican from the former LatAm Alliance. There was a hippie woman from the Earthers gang and an Old Ways shaman from the Sioux nations. Of course, Simon was there as well as a handful of representatives from local towns across the Wasted West.

They knew Corndog, of course, as he'd been their main contact with the Convoy. Brother Edgar looked like he wanted to have a word with Peter and the others. Surprisingly, Col. Schaeffer want't talking to the German soldier (who looked a little familiar to the Posse).

The conference room was something out of the pre-war days. Plush carpeting, a large table, audio-visual equipment, a terminal connected to the Junknet, Junkyard's intranet service. At one end were tables set with snack food, coffee and tea, cold drinks. A wet bar held wine and alcohol. Armed Junkyard militia guarded the exterior door, there were no windows.

Smoker lurked in a corner, feeling remarkably out of place but fascinated by the tech on display.

Rowan is fascinated by the varying factions represented here.
She stops to have a word with Brother Edgar " Well met brother I am glad that that which watches over us all has kept you well."

He smiled. "Indeed, things have gone well for the Church of the Atom, Reformed.

"It's great to see all of you again. I heard you've lost some comrades since we last parted... Michaela and Trejo. Arthur was killed in the ruins of Wichita. The Wasted West seems pretty hard on Templars! And others I haven't met, I hear."

Jane stayed in the back a little bit so that Brother Edgar could talk to those whom he wanted to.  She kept her eyes and ears open and let the other do the talking.

Re: Whoever Fights Monsters...

Peter looked over the outside of the room and then entered the conference room itself. He was supposed to be a bodyguard and/or part of entourage, so he was trying to at least look the part a little. He gave a nod of greeting to Corndog and Brother Edgar - which was a pleasant surprise. Rowan went to Brother Edgar so Peter followed and held out his hand to the other man even.

"It is very good to see you again as well, Brother. I am glad you are well."

In reply to Peter Firecrow (msg # 6):

Brother Edgar smiled. "I'm glad you're well, too. I see you're Simon's bodyguard. Smart man!

"Speaking of smart men, I have someone here I'd like you to meet. An old friend of mine, local Junker. His name's Samuel Gibson."

He waved one of the Junkers over.
