On the day appointed for Mittens to meet up with Emerald, she gives her a call to see if there's anything preventing her from showing up at the rendezvous place she picked.

Emerald has decided to meet with Mitts at either Mittens' house or the base of operations. Since the police room seemed too likely to get noisy, Emerald vouched for going to Mittens' house. The fox shows up early, wearing something a little more grownup / girly, like a button-up blouse and long skirt that reaches mid-shin level. She even has a flower in her hair.

She knocks on the door and would follow the lead of whoever answered to wherever in the house Mitts felt most comfortable. Emerald didn't care if Mittens' family listened in since she wasn't going to share any secrets with Mittens. At least, that's the plan.

Mittens' place is a 2 story row house sandwiched between others of it's kind in with a neighborhood playground not too far away.  The door is answered by Mittens and Emerald is welcomed inside with a "Ooooh!  Cute!  Flower!"

The first room to the left is a tiny dining room, ahead is a hallway leading to the living room, and to the right is a stairway leading up to the bedrooms.  Mits would have chosen the dining room table for grown-up reasons.  Given the many crosses, Jesus posters, and angel figurine decor, it gives one the impression that the Christian family just miiight be... oh... you know...  Christian.

Mits pulls a seat out for Emerald with a big smile.

"Can I get you anything, hot stuff?" she asks, "Coffee?  Tea?  Crumpets?"

Emerald is soaking up all this being treated nice business. "Hot stuff? Gosh... thanks! Most people call me short stuff." she grins. "Tea sounds nice. So do crumpets for that matter." easy, cheap, healthy and makes for a good conversational snack! The English really do have good taste.

"I feel so welcome here. Thanks again." she looks around and does notice all the Christ stuff. She can't help thinking... maybe, just maybe, these Christians might not be hypocrites. Well, at least not as BAD as most Christians. After all... everyone is a hypocrite to some degree.

"You're welcome!" Mittens chimes cheerfully, "Happy I could make ya feel welcome!  Ice tea or hot?"
