Re: Chat with Liberty
"In Saint Paul's day, being a Christian was not alright to be," Mittens points out, "Tortures, executions, The Colosseum... These are our heritage. Yet Christianity flourished in spite of the persecution. And why not? The more you hammer hot iron, the stronger it becomes!
"As for Washington's day, it's true that a spiritual awakening preceded our nation's war of independence, but why not? The truth shall set you free! This shows all the more the need to get good with the sword. Sure the enemy resisted our fight for spiritual and national independence, but guess what? A small band of faithful fought off one of the mightiest world powers of the time! That's the power of our sword!
"There's an old saying that goes something like this: 'The more you’re being shot at, the closer you are to the target.' Jesus put it this way: 'Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.'"
