Armor 2

Rolled 8: Critical Strike: 40 damage
Rolled 29: Evasion failed

Samanosuke breathed out as he focused his eyes on Felix. The blood was starting to trickle down his eyelid, but he ignored it as he leapt forward with a great slice of Raizan, thunder cracking through the air as the blade swung sideways towards Felix.

Re: Alltrades Abbey: Felix vs Samanosuke
Armor +3 (due to passive and Djinn)
Damage +1 (due to Sai and Djinn)
Regen HP +2 (due to Djinn)
Evasion -3 (due to Djinn)

ABBEY TRAIT-6: When you attack, roll a 1d10; opponent's attack is reduced to half on a roll of a 1 or 2. (last turn)

Rolled a 1-Damage reduced by half

For attack: Rolled 1, 53
Attack: Weak cut: 6 damage
Evasion Fail

OOC: This is the ONLY time that I love the fact that I roll so many damn 1s...sorry, Samanosuke!

Felix couldn't move in time.  He willed his legs, but the felt like pieces of lead.  As it was, the best he could do was put up his sword defensively and hope for the best. The strike landed and it hurt, a lot.  However, it felt a bit weaker than he was expecting.  Maybe it was a really good block?  Or Samanosuke was tiring?  Whatever the reason, he was grateful for it.

"You don't let up...that's great...keep it coming."  With a grunt, the Adept rose to his feet and cut at the swordsman's exposed foot.  He stumbled a bit upon rising, but managed to remain vertical.  He would need to figure out a way to slow Samanosuke down...or speed himself up.  He was just too slow, too clunky.  I know what I want after this match... he thought to himself.  It was time to be reunited with all of his old friends.

Re: Alltrades Abbey: Felix vs Samanosuke
Armor +2 (due to passive)
Damage +3 (due to Sai)
Regen HP +2 (due to Djinn)
Evasion -3 (due to Djinn)

Rolled a 5 for trait: Sacrifice a turn of attacking to perform a guaranteed critical of 8 on following turn (2 turns remaining)

Rolled: 64: Evasion Fail
Using Abbey Trait (skipping attack this turn)

USING: Venus: Reduce damage taken by 1/2 for the next turn.  (15 SP)
Lose, Armor +1, Damage -2

Felix held his hand out to the wall and leaned on it slightly to steady himself.  He was tired.  Despite that, he had a feeling that this battle was far from over.  His opponent was too strong and too determined to give up with anything less than an absolute effort.  I need to prepare for my next move...

Felix let Iron go again, relishing the feeling of the warm yellow light that enveloped his body.  This time, his ally didn't even need to speak.  He knew exactly what to do.  With a nod towards Samanosuke, Felix braced himself to better tank his attacks.  The best thing he could do was accept a hit and retaliate with one of his own.  He would be ready this time.

Re: Alltrades Abbey: Felix vs Samanosuke
Alltrades Roll: 2: Roll 1d10, steal $1.00 from opponent on roll of 1
Rolled 5: No Steal
Evasion +3
Armor 2

Rolled 4: Sword Strike: 20 damage
Rolled 65: Evasion failed

Samanosuke could only smirk at this. Truly, Felix was a worthy swordsman. He knew exactly what he had at his disposal and what he could use to overcome desperate odds. Samanosuke definitely would have to do better if he was to see his victory in this fight. With a quick slice, Samanosuke prepared for his next move.

Evasion +3
Armor 2

Used Raizan: -20 SP (Negate opponent's evasion)

Rolled 8: Critical Strike: 40 damage
Rolled 91: Evasion Failed

Again, Felix had the glow surrounding him. Samanosuke knew it would be absorbing a large amount of his swing, but perhaps Raizan could do something about it. With a leap forward, Samanosuke slashed through the air at Felix, lightning in each strike's wake until a final downward slash appeared with a burst of electricity.

Re: Alltrades Abbey: Felix vs Samanosuke
Armor +2 (due to passive)
Damage +3 (due to Sai)
Regen HP +2 (due to Djinn)
Evasion -3 (due to Djinn)

Rolled a 5 for trait: Sacrifice a turn of attacking to perform a guaranteed critical of 8 on following turn (1 turn remaining)

IRON on standby; Taking HALF DAMAGE this turn

Rolled: 49: Evasion Fail (not that it matters for this turn)
Using Abbey Trait from last turn: auto 8: Quake: 43 Damage

Felix grunted and was knocked back by the powerful swing.  Electricity crackled through his body, expelling sparks and tendrils of energy from his fingertips.  The Adept dropped his sword as his hands spasmed open and closed.  If it had not been for Iron blocking some of the damage...he would be done for.

The young man wiped his brow and clenched his fists repeatedly to regain feeling in them.  Despite the ferocity of his opponent's attack, he had had sufficient time to prepare his own strike.  The Adept, eyes glowing, raised his hands above his head, collecting the latent energy from the earth around them.  With a shout, he slammed his fists into the ground, sending shockwaves racing towards Samanosuke.  It was almost as if the Abbey were alive...undulating crests of granite and rubble shot towards his opponent.

Felix fell to one knee and closed his eyes.  He would need to recharge after something so powerful.  He had one more trick up his sleeve for the next attack...

Damage +3 (due to Sai)
Regen HP +2 (due to Djinn)
Evasion -3 (due to Djinn)

Rolled a 5 for trait: Sacrifice a turn of attacking to perform a guaranteed critical of 8 on following turn (Last turn)

Summoning Venus: Summoning 1 djinn- 20 SP to deal 2d5 Damage to one opponent

Rolled: (4+3 = 7) 7: Summon: 38 Damage
Evasion Fail

Felix slowly rose to his feet and retrieved his sword.  With a deep breath, he steadied himself and locked eyes with his opponent and friend.  He knew that Samanosuke would not give up and could easily turn the match around at any moment.  He had to keep putting on pressure and fighting with every bit of energy that he had.

He nodded and smiled slightly.  It had been a good battle.

Let's do this, Felix thought to himself.  Iron glowed slightly and responded to his wordless plea.  The diminutive creature released itself, casting a yellowish glow upon the room.  A wave of unadulterated energy from the very soil itself burst forth and blasted towards Samanosuke.  Wave after wave of golden light buffeted and crashed across the rubble on the floor and the crumbling walls.  Felix didn't know which would fall first; one of them, or the building they were battling in.

Rolled 3: Sword Strike: 15 damage
Rolled 3: Evasion Success

Samanosuke nimbly dodged out of the way of the falling boulders. He had seen this before and knew exactly what he needed to do to get away from it, but he knew Felix could do better than this. He needed to focus his senses and predict what would come next from the swordsman. With a quick movement, Samanosuke sliced at Felix as he rushed by, getting as far away from the rubble as he could.

Alltrades Roll: 3: Gain back an additional 2 SP with a successful strike
Evasion +3
Armor 2

Rolled 1: Kick back: 5 damage
Rolled 40: Evasion failed

Still, the samurai was nowhere near where he needed to be to make a decent strike against Felix. The best he could do at the time was to kick a rock at Felix's direction. It was weak, but perhaps it would buy him enough time to place another strike on him.

IRON recovering (will set next turn)

Rolled: 4, 93
Attack: Slash: 23 Damage
Evasion Fail

Felix brushed the pebble away as it tapped his side.  He couldn't believe that Samanosuke could still move so fast!  Granted, the attack was fairly similar to one that he had used earlier, but Felix had hoped that the repeated hits had weakened Samanosuke to the point where he would be unable to react quickly to threats.

Felix sighed and gripped his sword tighter in his clammy hands.  He wiped a mixture of sweat and blood from his brow.  It had been a long battle.  And it seemed as though it would continue, for at least a little while.  Neither opponent would go down until the last possible moment.

The Adept moved towards the swordsman with focus and determination.  He would not yield.  He swung his sword at Samanosuke's middle, hard.  He wanted to end this fight as soon as he could, before all energy left his weary body.

Evasion Fail

As the slash connected, Felix dropped his blade and called upon the power of the earth.  Just one last time, he needed it to aid him.  With strength beyond what any normal human could muster, the warrior bent down and gripped a massive piece of rubble.  He lifted it high above his head and threw it towards Samanosuke.  If it connected, it would almost surely knock his opponent out.

Regain +2 SP on successful hit

Rolled 4: Sword Strike: 20 damage
Rolled 4: Evasion Success

The slash bit into Samanosuke's armor and then his midsection. Blood oozed from the wound, but Samanosuke wasn't about to let up yet. With a heavy pant, Samanosuke righted himself from the attack only to see Felix drop his sword. "Dropping your blade isn't a good idea," the Onimusha responded. He knew what was coming next. More power from the earth itself. With that split-second thought, Samanosuke quickly dashed towards Felix again, barely leaping over the spire coming from the ground in time to deliver a powerful strike against Felix.

Used Ice Arrow: Lower opponent's chance to evade by 5

Rolled 2: Kick back: 10 damage
Rolled 88: Evasion failed

This fight was going on too long, Samanosuke could feel it. He only had a few more moves in him before the cut through his body would subdue him before Felix did. Still, Samanosuke wouldn't let that stop him. Quickly, Samanosuke kicked out at Felix to drive him back before loosing a frosty arrow at the Adept.

Felix grunted and fell to his knees once more.  The slashes, the kicks, the arrows...his body could not take much more of this before falling for good.  How was Samanosuke able to move so well?  Despite his plethora of wounds, he was still evading and dodging nearly everything Felix through at him.

Felix, by chance, managed to find his blade near his left knee.  The Adept lifted his sword and crouched back a little deeper.  He wanted this strike to be powerful and true since he had little left.  As Samanosuke landed, Felix pushed off the ground as hard as he could and launched himself towards his opponent.  Sword sticking straight out, he propelled his body, point first, to connect with Samanosuke's middle.

Felix felt his stab connect and stumbled as both he and Samanosuke fell down.  He rolled over the swordsman and came back to his feet, sword still in hand.  Felix was bleeding from multiple wounds and he had arrows sticking out from various parts of his body.  He was bruised, exhausted and ready to faint.  And yet, he still had a bit of fire left.  Hopefully it would be enough to finish off the match for good.  Felix had never fought so long or so hard before.

Felix stood, knees slightly bent, breathing heavily.  "This has been the hardest battle I have ever fought, Samanosuke.  Thank you for giving the match your all and never holding back.  You have taught me some things that I need to work on and improve if I want to grow stronger.  I won't be so weak the next time we fight," Felix said with a slight grin.  As his words ended, the Adept nodded to his opponent and friend.  Without another word or motion, the young man dashed towards Samanosuke, using everything he had left.  He lowered his sword and pointed the tip at the ground.  As he neared Samanosuke, he swung the blade in a rising slash across his body, from hip to shoulder.

Armor2

Used Flame Arrow: +2 additional damage this turn

Rolled 4: Sword Slash: 22 damage
Rolled 31 <GAAAH>: Evasion failed

Samanosuke crumpled to the ground as Felix's blade bit into his flesh, but kept his grip on the bow. As Felix rolled past, Samanosuke struggled to get the last arrow from the quiver to shoot at Felix as we went by. It wasn't much, but maybe it did something. Every fiber of Samanosuke urged him to fight, to attack, never to let up.

But his body could only do so much.

Samanosuke picked himself up from the ground, blood seeping out of every open area on his body. The black armor he wore was stained red again from the fight, both his and Felix's blood canvassed the plates. With a heavy pant, Samanosuke smirked. "You've taught me things as well, and I thank you for that," Samanosuke replied back to Felix. This was it. All or nothing. Samanosuke gripped Raizan as tightly as he could and staggered towards Felix, ready to slice into the Adept one last time before--

Samanosuke couldn't feel anything. Felix's blade had connected first. Air escaped through Samanosuke's mouth as he fell back from the cut, unable to go on.
