With their opponent most likely confused and off-balance, the Princess continued her attack, another orb of her dangerous energy manifesting to orbit around Jin's body. The two destructive spheres moved into Jin's left hand, and the Princess held it out with the palm facing Ken. The orbs spun in a tight formation, moving faster and faster as they began to destabilize. Black energy arced between them as they spun even faster, and as they began to break down, the Princess fired the rotating blast straight at her adversary. The backlash threw Jin back and nearly dislocated his shoulder. The Princess groaned as she gave the joint a few movements to be sure it was still in place. "I had forgotten just how painful using this power could be... But no matter." She seemed to think little of her host's injuries, and as she raised her host's arm, the wounds on Jin's hand began to close themselves. Before Jin could object to her actions, he noticed that the little pain he had felt was already almost nonexistent. Was this another of the abilities she had regained? Curious, Jin said nothing and continued to observe.

Watching the attack close in on the Pilot, the Princess narrowed her eyes. At the last second before the impact, she forced the two orbs to separate, each firing in a different direction and exploding.

Attack: 10 Damage
Evasion Fail

Ken was slammed and buffeted by a multitude of attacks.  How was his opponent so fast and strong?  All he could manage was a few quick, weak strikes in response.  He hoped that he would be able to do more soon...as it was, he would be done soon if he couldn't figure out how to battle this incredible force.

No damage this round...
Evasion Fail

Ken stumbled back yet again as the strikes continued to batter his lean frame.  He felt his sock become very wet.  What...oh.  He stepped in the edge of a hot spring.  Surprisingly, he felt a bit faster, yet lighter...weaker?  It was a strange mix of emotions.  He circled his opponent, looking for an opening.  He only hoped that Jin would somehow manage to take himself out with all the residual damage that he seemed to be dealing to himself.

The Princess let out a heavy, deep breath. The Dark Matter would wear off soon, and it helped to calm oneself before the immediate drop in energy. One misstep while recovering from her power's effects could be disastrous. Suddenly, their opponent was back on his feet, and advancing fast. Faster than before. Was this his second wind, or some strange effect of the battlefield? No matter. The Princess took a defensive stance of her own fighting style, with Jin's hands clasped one inside the other. She watched their opponent's movements intently, waiting for an opening.

It seemed a bit unorthodox to Jin, but as their opponent began to strike the Princess, he realized the movement was to prepare another attack. The Princess spun and allowed Ken's strikes to land, only to take his undefended back. The fist she had clasped in Jin's other hand was released with the last bit of Dark Matter that was left over from the previous attacks, and it hammered into the side of Ken's head, boosted by a small burst of black flame.

Well, this was fantastic, Ken was getting pummeled by Jin AND he had an unnatural craving for milk. Like today couldn't get any worse for him, but no matter. Soon this fight would start coming out his way. Immediately, Ken took the blow from Jin to the head and did his best to roll with the strike. He knew his best recourse would be to swing around and strike with a backfist, which he immediately did as he regained his balance on the precarious steps in the springs area.

Attempting to strike again, the Princess stepped toward Ken, aiming to push through his guard. However, Ken's sudden reversal threw the Princess off balance, and she was forced back. One of Jin's feet sunk into the mud at the edge of a spring, and he fell in. The cursed waters began to take over, and slowly the Princess could feel her strength returning. She surfaced at the opposite edge of the spring, ready to resume the battle... and found herself clutching at the muddy bank with feathered hands.

Or were they wings? What had just happened? Not only did the Princess find Jin's body lighter, but they had also lost several feet in height. Trying to find some sort of justification as to the sudden change, the Princess asked Ken, What has happened to my host?. All that came out, however, was a loud "QUACK." Both the Demon and her Host were flabbergasted.

Jin had turned into a duck.

The Princess didn't think of her now diminished form as a hindrance. Rather, she was curious as to how long they would be trapped in this form, and how it would affect her powers. Flapping her wings a few times, the Princess shook some water from her feathers and eyed Ken from across the bank. Making as close to a coy, smiling face as she could as a duck, the Princess took to the air, flying high. As she ascended, Jin began to wonder why Ken hadn't transformed, as he'd also gotten some spring water on him.

Only on his foot, though., the Princess reminded her host. As the gold-feathered duck soared above the springs, she finally reached what she believed a good enough altitude for her attack. A miniscule amount of Dark Matter formed around the duck's beak, probably all the Princess could muster in this form. Aiming at Ken, the Princess suddenly dropped into a dive, armor-clad beak pointed straight at her opponent.

And now he was getting attacked by ducks! What was going on now!? Ken winced at the pain of the attack and quickly swiped at Jin, only to meet with air and disappointment, as if he couldn't catch that red dot no matter how hard he tried.

Feeling her strength returning and the effects of the curse waning, the Princess tried for another flying attack. However, it seemed that Ken had become far too nimble to land an effective blow, and the Princess found herself overwhelmed by the man's scratching. The strikes weren't particularly painful, but they still forced the Demon Hunting Duck back.

4 - Drowned Boy/Girl: Swap gender and feel really awkward. (2 turns left)
Attack: 5 damage
Evasion fail

Ken shook his head and side-stepped another attack from his opponent.  Despite the fact that he felt quicker, he wanted to be done with this fight and out of this place.  It just felt...wrong.  What was going on here?  Why was everything so off?

His evasion landed him squarely into a puddle.  Again.

Damn it, he thought to himself with frustration.  Why did this always happen?

He stepped out of the water and noticed that things seemed different.  Again.  He was a bit shorter, and his body felt lighter.  He looked down at his arms and legs and noticed that they appeared thinner, though no less toned.  And his chest felt very strange.  He put a hand on his chest and felt resistance much sooner than usual.  Squishy resistance.  He looked down and stared.  Breasts.

He was a she.

This was the worst place to battle.  Ever.

With a sigh and a shake of her head, Kendra moved towards Jin, intent on finishing the fight immediately.  She punched, quite quick and crisp, towards her opponent.  "Not a word, okay?  I don't understand this either..."

Finally, the Princess could feel the effects of their curse wearing off. In a puff of smoke, Jin's body returned to its normal shape, no longer a bright-yellow Duck. Just in time, too, because a punch came sailing right at the young man and the Demon controlling his body. She deflected the blow, and was about ready to counter, when Ken's change of shape caught her eye. The Princess jumped back in surprise and laughed. "Cursed to become a woman! Actually, I don't think I would mind that, having been stuck sharing this boy's body for so long...", the Princess said. Looking to the spring Ken had just fallen into, she thought about jumping in, and almost immediately stumbled backward, away from the water.

If you even so much as try to turn me into a girl, i'll start running into his attacks, too., Jin told the Princess. She groaned and continued the fight, leaping back at Ken and throwing a quick combination of punches.

It was as if Ken couldn't keep a foothold anywhere. Jin's punches hurt, but not as much as his bruised ego. He fell backwards into YET ANOTHER pond and didn't surface for a moment.

All of a sudden, a giant panda bear leapt from the pool and swiped at Jin, growling as un-cute-like as it possibly could.

These curses seemed to be working heavily in favor of Jin and the Princess. Ken's slower panda form was undoubtedly very strong, but every swing he threw was telegraphed. Effortlessly, the Princess weaved around each one, countering with an explosive attack of her own, a punch backed by an explosive kick of Dark Matter.

As the explosive punch connected, the Princess focused even more destructive force into Jin's fist. The tattoo on his arm glowed with an intense light, and a second later, a second explosion of Dark Matter shook the battlefield. The Princess was sent flying backward from the force of her attack, but was left mostly unscathed. Still ready for anything Ken could throw her way, she remained on alert. If he were anything like any of the others here, he would still have a trick or two up his sleeve.
