EDGE-01
Rolled 2, 50
2 * 5 = 10 damage (Jack)
Evasion failed

Radar Hawk
Rolled 5, 55
5 * 2 = 10 damage (Jack)
Evasion failed

The android and his robotic hawk partner continued their team up attacks, alternating from various angles unleashing their attacks at the farmer. EDGE-01 figured that as long as they keep this up, his opponent would not be able to defend properly.

Re: Brinstar Depths: EDGE-01 vs Jack
Rolled 11: 11*3 = 33 Damage (EDGE-01)
Rolled 52: Evasion Failed

Jack turned to face the Radar Hawk.  Then EDGE-01.  Then the Radar Hawk.  Then EDGE-01.  Then...

You get the picture.

The flurry of blows coming from two different directions finally had Jack annoyed and somewhat flustered.  After the last pass from the Radar Hawk, and as EDGE-01 was rushing toward him, Jack reached into his pack and pulled out Mithril Axe!  The weapon flashed in the sunlight lava-light with such force, that even EDGE had to know this was not any normal axe.

Jack began swinging the Mithril Axe around and around, aiming it toward EDGE-01 before the emergency deployment entity could have a chance to redirect itself.

Rolled 2: 2*3 = 6 Damage (EDGE-01)
Rolled 7: Evasion Success

After smashing EDGE-01 with his favorite axe, Jack followed through with a punch high and one low.

After throwing the 1-2 punch, Jack plopped down on the ground.  Say what you wanted about a good fight, but a good lunch was also important to keep one's spirits up and exhaustion at bay!

It was only for a moment, but it was clear to EDGE-01 that his opponent has detected a pattern in his attacks and managed to avoid getting hit. Not only that, but also find time to recover his strength. It may have something to do with the fact that the android was hit really hard by that axe made of unknown metal as well.

A strange, floating octopus-like alien dislodged from a niche in the cavernous ceiling.  Plopping down on Jack, it sucks out a bit of life force, before floating over and transferring it to EDGE-01, supercharging his nanites momentarily.

With the farmer taken by surprise by the unusual creature of this battlefield, EDGE-01 was able to command the Radar Hawk to distract the opponent a little more. The energy granted to him by the alien life form was enough to supercharge his power supply, and the android proceeded to unleash a hail of plasma to trap and pin his opponent down. This was immediately followed by a massive beam attack that outshone the ambient light created by the hazardous environment of the field.

Somehow.

Inexplicably.

The massive beam attack blazed a path of hideous glory about the entire battlefield.  However, when it was finally finished, and the energy of the beam depleted from the Metroid, there sat Jack.  Finishing his sandwich.  If anything, Jack was slightly annoyed.  He picked up the nearest hand-sized rock, and chucked it up at EDGE-01.  Not that it would matter much, as EDGE-01's healing mechanism was in overdrive.

His lunch finally finished, Jack stood up, brushing himself off and letting the crumbs fall onto the solidified lava rock.  Reaching into his pack, he pulled out am iron hoe!  Setting up a golf tea, Jack aimed the iron hoe at a piece of lava rock and sent the rock flying toward the Radar Hawk with a swing.  There was more than one way to use a hoe.

The farmer's hoe simply whiffed at air when attempting to strike against the mechanical avian - the Radar Hawk can fly much higher if needed after all. It countered by scratching against its aggressor with sharp retractable claws before flying up and out of reach once again.

While Jack was busy going after the GEAR, EDGE-01 came in from the side with a body tackle. This opponent proved to be a powerful one, somebody he could not take lightly.

The due pressed on with their attack, trying to keep the gap between the blows as short as possible to maintain the pressure on the farmer. Denying the opponent room to recover is important if they want to make it through.

Jack was a little annoyed when the rock missed the soaring machine-bird.  Still, instead of taking out on the bird, as it attacked him once more, Jack turned and threw a punch at EDGE-01.  This robot-man was the source of all his problems right now.

Jack decided he would take a second shot at his makeshift version of combat golfing.  He pulled out the hoe once more.  This time though, when he swung the tool, he swung it so that he aimed a lava rock at EDGE-01.  Despite all the damage Jack thought he was causing, he could have sworn that the machine-man was actually getting healthier as the fight went on.  Jack decided that just wasn't fair, as he sent the lava rock soaring toward EDGE-01.

With the Radar Hawk's help, EDGE-01 is able to mitigate the damage received when he was fighting Jack alone. He could detect the farmer's state of unease with each time he was able to land a successful hit against his opponent.

The android/robot hawk pair came across Jack once again, with the Radar Hawk initiating a supersonic attack to disorient the farmer while the rescue android came in to knock Jack off his feet. It was barely enough to finish the job, but it was clear that the tables have now turned.

Having gotten his aim down by swinging the hoe and hitting EDGE-01, Jack decided to try once more for the Radar Hawk.  Setting up a new lava rock, Jack swung as hard as he could... sending a lava rock soaring toward the robotic companion.  As he swung, Jack decided that in the future, he would need to bring his own companion.  He DID have a whole farm of them after all, including his horse, which he made sure to brush every day.

Jack felt himself growing weaker.  It had been a long, long, long day.  He had not even had a chance to stop by the spa!  This annoyed him.  Well, if he wasn't going to get to use the spa, then he might as well use the water in the watering can for something else.  Jack poured out the water and carefully (and unbelievably!) filled it with some nearby lava (without burning himself even).  Swinging the can full of lava around, he sent it soaring toward the radar hawk...

The Radar Hawk executed a barrel roll, moving away from the improvised projectile's path. It closed in long enough to deliver a quick peck before flying away again, more as a distraction than any real damage. EDGE-01 took advantage of this moment to come in, however, delivering a surprise tackle that would send the farmer a few steps off from his original standing position.
