Please post all gladiator challenges and Team Battles in this thread. After a fight is decided upon with the arena, and any and all additional rules, then send a PM to GM Marcus Attilus and your opponent with the agreed upon arena, any special fight conditions, the gladiators involved and their CRs to get the fight started.

Tim was going to wait for someone to try and climb the 5-7 tier ladder, but if there are no challengers, Tim will accept any comers!  CR7!

Antaeus is working his way up. I'll get to you in a few, Tim. In the meantime, I see 3 others listed as lvl 5. Would Ravenhill care for a match? Or Mali? Mortimer, even?

Plus, I want to resolve a fight with Shen first. Maybe afterwards.

Perhaps another day then. You'll have to challenge me eventually if you want to climb the ranks to be number 1 in our level group though. ;)

I'm well aware of that. I try to research techniques of each fighter, and I think I have a handle on yours. Now I just have to figure out how to beat you.

A small little Creature, a Dromite, walks aggressively into the arena. He wears Full Plate armor, carry's a heavy steel shield, and has his helmet stuffed under his arm.
His charisma can not be questioned (23).
"To all that are present, I have come to represent my race, the Dromites, in this odd little event that pits man against man, beast against beast, and team against team. A game in which there can be only one. Undoubtedly, I will be the one standing at the top as I take down player after player... it is only a matter of time"
Melvin takes his helmet from under his arm and in a clean, sweeping motion plops it on top of his head. While his words are challenging and his speech is delivered with zeal, he looks a little ridiculous as he draws his visor shut. It is obvious that his small little frame does not agree with the heavy armor he dons yet he seems to pull it off.
"Who is it that will be the first to meet their demise at the end of my blade?"
Chuckles can be heard from the crowd as he pulls out a small dagger. No other weapons can be seen.

Otherwise, I think you need to buy consumables for each of Gideon.

I believe each clone comes equipped with the same equipment, including consumables. Anything used counts as used, but once one has used it, I believe the others can too (or might as well use it because it'll be considered consumed at the end of battle).

Clone battles tend to be a bit more loosey goosey.

If you want to make sure the above is correct, simply stipulate you want each clone to have the same equipment and any consumables may be used by each clone, but count as consumed if used by any one. IE Gideon has a potion of flying and two potions of barkskin. Each clone may use a potion of flying. If a single clone uses a single potion of either type, it counts as used at the end. If three clones use one potion of Barkskin each, only one is consumed at the end.

Yeah. If you want to search through battles you can find people using Clones (it's in the match titles usually if they used clones) acting on the same initiative. Each has the same equipment list etc.

Just so you know how CR is calculated, 6 Soluna at CR 5 would be equal to about CR 7. (2 cr5 = cr 6; 2 cr6 = cr7 encounter).

Those rules are imperfect but approximately 64 Soluna would be an even match for Thorn under those rules :)

Although, CR is very different than ECL. Take for example our friend the Kraken: http://www.d20srd.org/srd/monsters/kraken.htm
While his ECL is listed as 12, he most certainly does not have 12 HD. In fact, he has 20!
CR is just a term used to designate an appropriate challenge of 4 party members of that level.

Now, according to this guy right here, Thorn as an ECL 11 charicter are equivilent to a party of 4 lvl 7 players: http://www.d20srd.org/extras/d20encountercalculator/
(which my in fact make Thorn CR 7 if he were in the monster manual :P)

I as an ECL 5 character am equivalent to a party of 4 lvl 1.4 characters, making me roughly CR1-2 depending on various things, though I'd push for CR 2 at the least as my base race is already CR 2 as listed in Monster Manual 3. :P

Now what you said is right, 5 to 6 Soluna's at CR 2 would be a moderate difficulty fight for an ECL 11 character like Thorn. 64 of us? I'm sorry to say but 64 CR 2 monsters would simply overpower an ECL 11 as their opponent. :P
