To get into the top 3, you must defeat the 3rd ranked gladiator. If you win, then challenge the 2nd ranked and, after winning, you may challenge for the Champion rank. The top 3 must accept all challenges from those below them in rank. If a top 3 loses a match, they get one auto-rematch against the gladiator who just beat them if they so wish it.
