Re: OCC Thread

Mike rarely spends DP at all. He doesn't typically need to.

Re: OCC Thread

Your choice.  If either Michael or Aaron spend a plot twist DP, it will get them to the others right away, if you think you need to get there that quickly.

Otherwise, both Michael and Aaron each need to make a perception plus notice roll to see if they can zero in on the others by the sound of their voices.  Michael gets a +2 to the roll due to his vamp hearing.

Re: OCC Thread

This round's not resolved just yet.  Buffybot needs to make a  constituion doubled roll with a -11 penalty to see if she goes down from the taser blast, if not she is still up.

Mike, Aaron, and Lance have all now met in the hallway.  You three need to decide if you want to either retreat for now or return to the conference room and engage the Mayor, the Chief, and four SWAT vamps (and the mayor's assistant if she decides to jump in, she doesn't just make tea).

A retreat would be successful, you don't hear the sound of any bad guys in pursuit, they're all still in the conference room.

Re: OCC Thread

Are the SWAT vmmps armored?

Anyways, I'm feeling heroic.

Let's go save our damsels in distress, shall we?

General plan: Lance, disarm the enemy of Taser Rifles.

Aaron, use the taser rifle I gave you in the sewer to knock the enemy out.

Alternatively, if Lance has a gun fu score and you don't, give him the taser and switch jobs. I can see Lance being pretty good with a gun, after all.

Mike will stake unarmored targets first (if any), then neck snap armored targets.

Don't bother attacking the Mayor directly, I know a final boss when I see one. Taking the chief out might be possible, though.

Re: OCC Thread

I have zero Gun Fu so the taser rifle is Lance's if he wants it.

Re: OCC Thread

The four SWAT vamps are wearing vests (which give front and back protection) and helmets which provide 12 points of armor.

This armor doesn't count against break neck or groin kicks (as Annabelle demonstrated).

Word of advice: The mayor and the chief are pretty much co-big bads, so don't underestimate the chief.  And of course I'm not going to let anyone dispose of the two big bads before the season finale.

Lance has the best gun fu score of anyone here, so he'd be the best choice for taser rifle shooting.

Re: OCC Thread

Ya know, do Tasers even go through Armor?

Or are they blocked if damage (Which is only 5 bashing) is reduced to 0?

Re: OCC Thread

Hmmmm.  Good point.  Taser rifle is bash damage, so armor would protect against it.

However, the SWAT armor doesn't protect arms or legs.  You could aim a taser rifle at an arm or a leg with a -2 penalty, and if it hits get the full effect.

Re: OCC Thread

Mike (And any other PCs with natural toughness and a leather jacket) may also be immune. Since the bar is 5 bash damage, 4 from natural toughness reduces that to 1. At that point, even a mere bit of tweed or leather can block it.

...Actually, 9 is a success. It's not a very good success, but it's a success. Minimum bar for success is 8.

That would be correct.  As long as Mike and Aaron keep their leather coats on, they have enough protection to be taser proof.

Buffybot is indeed up and fighting, 9 was just enough to stay up. The last round has now been edited and resolved.

Combat thread time for everybody.  BAD GUYS HAVE INITIATIVE.  Aaron, Mike, and Lance may rush into the room and attack this round.

Re: OCC Thread

They even have init over people with fast reaction time?

Mike's init is something ridiculous like 13. The bad guys would have to have fast reaction time themselves...and dex of 9+...to beat him.

Can't see the normal swat vamps outspeeding him. The police chief, maybe. Mayor, depends on what he is under his human suit.

They do.

These are not "normal" SWAT vamps.  They are four of the most badass henchman a Big Bad has ever had.

Apparently. Rememeber Dex 9 gives them even more actions then I have.

The break points for actions are: 5-6 +1, 7-8 +2, 9-10 +3, 11-12 +4, 13+ Time for a Plot Twist to stop the fight :P

Re: OCC Thread

Actually, I'm going to recommend stopping the fight with plot twist. I can take these 4 super lieutenants, but only one at a time. All 4 together is going to be too much.

So if everyone is agreeable, I'll Plot Twist out of the fight and pull some shenanigans on the way.

Mike is going to pull out some classic smokebombs, get everyone out, throw s bookcase in front of the door, light it on fire, and put some holy water on top. By the time they get by that, we'll be long gone.

Re: OCC Thread

That will be fine.  The plot twist will cost you one drama point.

Make a post in the main episode thread that describes all that and the heroes can make their escape.
