Episode 2-3

30 minutes have passed.

Exterior shot of Sunnydale police station.

Cut to inside as the camera pans across a cell containing four unconcious Kotar demons.  Slowly then begin to stir, then:

"Where are we?! What happened?!" says one demon.

"We appear to be in a dungeon of some sort." says another.

"That's right, the Sunnydale police station to be precise."

The four now awake demons turn to the sound of the voice as the new Sunnydale police chief steps forward.

"We don't like people starting fights here in Sunnydale. We've got you troublemakers here and soon we'll have your troublemaking friends in here with you soon."the chief says pointing to the empty cell on the other side of the room.

Elsewhere in Sunnydale: A jeep carrying the other four troublemakers in question is on the road looking for a place to hide.

Graham drives the jeep down the road as he, Michael, and Buffy discuss their next move.  Annabelle is still unconcious from the gas attack.

In reply to Michael Smith (msg # 2):

Graham glances back in the rear view mirror at the vampire in the back seat of the jeep. "I can think of one other place to go, that the cops and other baddies might not know about." Graham pauses as he glances at the road attend of them, looking for alley to park in for cover until they figure out their next move.  "I can't guarantee what kind of supplies will be there but it should be out of the way and old enough to be off their radar."

Graham sees a likely spot to hide out for a few minutes, and pulls the jeep just far enough into the alley to not be seen.  He stops the jeep to conserve gas and then turns to look at the others. "How do you feel about moth-balled former secret military installations?"

Annabelle's eyes pop open and she looks like she's about to jump out of the jeep.  After wildy looking around, and absorbing her surroundings, she exhales loudly then sits down, now much more relaxed.

"I see we're not dead or captured.  Where are we exactly and do we have any idea where we are going?"

If that can assist us for now then we go for it. I don't mind if it needs to get cleaned out." Once Annabelle stirs and now wake she answers her question...

"Graham has another place in mind. He'll be happy to explain more. How are you feeling Mike?"Attempting to have his well-being in mind.

"The SitRep is that we somehow survived the fight with the demons and are now on our way to a former covert military installation," Graham said as he put the jeep in gear and moved out towards the UC-Sunnydale campus.  "And we should be so lucky to have the demons fight the police, but we should be careful that we don't get caught in the middle of the fighting between them."

Graham glanced back at Annabelle. "How are you feeling after Grabby McGraberson tried choking you?"

Graham continues to drive as they talk, and keeps an eye out for Sunnydale police as well, just in case they try to get cute and pull them over.

Finding safe places to stay the villains don't know about  that Michael can freely enter, are few and far between.

She then turned around, looking at the group's food supply and found herself an apple.
"Anyone else want something to eat?" she asked as she bit into the apple.
"Michael someone threw a pack of straws in our food supplies.  I can rig it in one of your blood packs so you can drink it like a juice box if you like.

Soon, the entrance to the UC Sunnydale campus is in sight.  Graham pulls into the entrance roadway, slowing down, then suddenly..........

WHAM!

A form quickly appears in front of the jeep from out of nowhere, then disappears quickly upon impact.  The jeep just hit somebody or something.  The impact was relatively mild since Graham was going less than 25 mph at the time and everyone had their seat belts on.

The four occupants of the jeep are uninjured.  Better step out and see what you hit.

Re: Episode 2-3

Annabelle quickly makes it to the front of the jeep to see what they hit.

Not a man.  Not a deer.

A Turok-Han is lying on the ground.  Still concious and growling.  Not burning in the sun either since the heavy cloud cover is still blocking the sun's rays. He looks like he's going to get up any second, the impact from the jeep apparently didn't injure him that much.

And he's not alone.  You four quickly hear a familiar growl as three more Turok-Hans appear from behind the nearby shrubs.

If Annabelle gets back in the jeep quickly, you may have time to drive off and escape.

Maybe.

Re: Episode 2-3

Buffybot wanted to handle the matter quickly. She was more then ready to rock all she was missing was the music. "Time to dance Pal!" She easily punches the downed vampire twice before Michael gets to it.  What's not so easy is avoiding the other Turok-Han coming at her, who unleashes a spectacular spin kick that nails her in the chest with a loud cracking sound  that rattles her inner mechanisms.

Mike leaps out of the vehicle like the supernatural being he is, and bares all his effort down on the downed Turok Han. He strikes once, twice, even thrice if need be to finish him off before he has a chance to get up again. Michael was usually fast enough to outspeed such opponents.

Thok!  Foom!  Once was enough this time as the stake plunges into the ubervamp's heart and he exploded to dust.

Seeing Michael race for the downed monster, Annabelle goes after one of the unoccupied prehistoric vampires and targets a high kick at his jaw.  "Unholy monsters!  You're going back to the hell from whence you came!" Not this one, not yet.  Despite an impressive kick, the vampire still dodges Annabelle's attack.  Then the monster takes a page out of the Michael Smith playbook as he grabs the SIT and hurls her three yards away where she promptly crashes into a bush then lands on the ground in a very undignified manner.

This Turok-Han then turns his attention to the enemy who just staked his brother.

Since the others all appeared the worse for wear, Graham jumps out of the jeep and heads towards the three upright uber-vamps, thinking that he might be able to keep them occupied while the bot and non-uber vamp took out the one on the ground. "Don't spend too much time on the ancient road-kill.  There are plenty of other ones to go around."

Stepping in close to one not engaged with Annabelle, he slashes into the creature with his knife, biting deep into it's chest. The ubervamp roared in pain then attempted to attack Graham, who sucessfully used the blade to defend himself. "Sorry ugly, but you are a little too old for my taste."

OCC: Back to the combat thread.  25 points of damage on Buffy, 9 points of damage to Annabelle, who is now on the ground.  Three Turok-Hans still left.

Re: Episode 2-3

Annabelle isn't amused at her now undignified position, and even less amused when she sees the mud on her new clothes.  She smacks the ground with both hands in anger. "You soulless monster!  This was a new outfit!!"
Annabelle then proceeds to snap back to her feet and take revenge on the beast, but fails and lands on her bum.
She smacks the ground even harder.  "Michael!  That bloody bastard just humbled me by copying your signature move!  Are you going to let him get away with it?!"

While dodging his opponent's attack, Graham got a good look at the rest of the combat. Seeing the others being thrown around, literally in Annabelle's case, Graham tries to take control of the situation for his sold-umm allies. Right his allies, not his soldiers.  "Mike, keep that one occupied and away from from the others. Annabelle, forget the one Michael has and help her Busted-ness with her target."

But the Slayer in training could do nothing as she was still on the ground, after her less than graceful attempt to get back to her feet.

Hoping the others would follow his orders, Graham focused his attentions on the pre-historic monster trying to gut him.  "I am really getting tired of you creeps." Focusing all his ability, he pulls out a stake and plunges it at the Turok-Han's heart. And he focused well, as the ubervamp exploded to dust.

Mike noticed a turok han stealing his favorite trick. That just wasn't cricket.

He grabbed the one that just throw Annabelle, and did his best to remind him who the local vamp tossing champion really was. In fact, he even made a point at throwing him at his friend. With any luck, he throw him at his friend so hard he knocked one or even both of them prone.

"Ahem. That move is done like THIS!"

As he successfully sent the creature flying, the last standing Turok-Han avoided his flying brother, as the flying one crashed to the ground.

Buffybot attempted to run up to the now prone Turok Han that roughed up Annabelle. The downed Turok-Han was an easy target as she punched him twice.

But the Turok-Han that just nailed her wasn't done yet. He nailed Buffy again with a thundering punch to the jaw.  Not wanted Michael to feel left out, he dashed over and gave him a crushing punch to the jaw as well.  That was impressive.  This one was clearly the alpha of this pack.

Just then the four heroes hear a growl from another direction as another Turok-Han stepped out from behind the bushes.  Looks like he was lagging behind his pals, but has now caught up.  He looks back and forth at the potential prey, not sure who he wants to kill first.

OCC: Back to the combat thread.  22 points of damage to Buffy, 21 to Michael. Three Turok-Hans left. Graham staked one, but a new one just showed up to take his place. You've got the new one, one on the ground, and the one that just nailed Mike and Buffy.

Re: Episode 2-3

Buffybot's processors took a beating and under normal circumstances she would've forced to shutdown. But with Annabelle still down and having something to prove.

Buffybot attempts to get the main TH's attention to cover for Mike. Hopefully he'll have better luck than she did. Buffy's punch on the Turok-Han missed, but so did the prehistoric vamp's punch aimed at her as she ducked out of the way. Mike was safe from him at the moment, as his failed attack on Buffy threw off his balance.

When a turok han goes down, Mike goes out of his way to finish them off. A dusted Turok Han is one that can't plague him or anyone else later. Mike's stake plunges into the downed monster's heart followed and explosion of dust, one stake attempt was enough to do the job.

"Now that's more like it!" Annabelle shouted in victory as she majestically jumped back on her feet.  She was about to hurl a snarky remark in Graham's direction for his orders until she saw him stake his ubervamp.

"Good show Graham.  Now why don't you join me in vanquishing this one!"Annabelle shouted as she rushed towards the newly arrived Turok-Han and planning to deliver a punch at his mid-section.

Glad that his allies were starting to use teamwork, Graham did as Annabelle requested and moved towards her opponent.Graham reached the creature first as he angled behind it, then he charges toward it, jumping up a feet away from it and slammed his foot into its back.  The ubervamp screamed in pain just has Annabelle's fist connected with his gut, as Graham uses the vamp as a spring board to land back on his feet, prepared to defend himself from any of their enemies. "Ask and ye shall receive," he says when he lands next to Annabelle.

But while reeling from the double attack, the vamp still has some fight left in him as he lunged forward, and landed a punch to Graham's jaw.

OCC: Back to the combat thread.  16 points of damage to Graham (small price to pay for that perfect jump kick though). Two Turok-Hans left, one engaging Mike and Buffy (the toughest one), the other engaging Graham and Annabelle.

"Go help the others Graham!  I"ll finish this one!"Annabelle shouts as she thrusts her stake towards the prehistoric vampire's heart and prays it will be enough to dust him.

THOK!  FOOM!  It does, as her stake plunges into the heart and the creature explodes to dust.

Mike's famous trick was still at work...and he charged at the leader Turok Han. And what does he do? He does his best to prove why he's the world champion of Vampire tossing. He succefully to THROWs that guy as high as he can into the sky. When he comes down...it's stakin' time, hopfully.

The ubervamp crashed to the ground on his back.

Buffybot, knowing this was another chance to capitalize on Mike's toss also moves in to attempt to finish off the TH that she and Mike are currently dealing with as she punches the downed vampire twice.

Reeling from the punch to the face, Graham raced toward the vamp fighting the the B-Bot and Michael.  Seeing the vamp flopping on the ground from Michael's gold medal worthy toss, Graham moved in to stake it through the heart, hoping the ringing in his head wouldn't throw off his aim.

But it apparently did as the vamp, despite his low position, managed to roll out of the way of Graham's stake attempt.

OCC: Back to the combat thread.  One Turok left, still on the ground at the moment. Good guys have initiative, if you don't finish him he will snap back to his feet. No damage to the heroes this round.

Re: Episode 2-3

Mike goes for 3 staking attempts as he goes all out to finish off the downed opponent. It is likely, however, that he'll only need one this time. Or maybe not.  As the stake plunges into the heart, the vamp doesn't dust. Mike plunges the stake in a second time and this does the job as the ubervamp explodes into dust.

Graham takes a second to shake off the ringing in his head than aims a kick at the uber-vamp's head. "I am getting really tired of these things." But Graham's foot goes through a cloud of dust as Mike's last staking finished him.

A few minutes later, Graham pulls the jeep up in front of Lowell House, one of the many fraternity houses on campus.  But this one is far from ordinary, as he explained on the way over. Graham then parked the jeep behind the house and everyone gets out.

Inside the house is one of the many secret entrances to the old Initiative HQ.  As you approach the front door, Graham finds the key he has still works, breaking down the door will be unnecessary.  Everyone enters with no problem (including Michael, since the house doesn't constitute a private dwelling.)

Graham leads everyone down the hallway towards the secret entrance.

But just then:

FREEZE! shouts a voice coming from behind the foursome.

Both agents step out of the elevator.  "Come on.  There's four of us.  We'll introduce you to the other agents."

Mike nodded. "Win some, lose some. Capturing Spike alive turned out to be a good thing for the world. Whatever you made Adam out of, not so much."

Annabelle's eyes almost popped out of her sockets in astonishment at the Initiative agent's explanation.  "You people are off your trolley!  Capturing vampires and demons?!  That's insane!" she half shouted.

I deperately need some tea! she thought to herself.

"One moment! What did you say Michael?  Who is this Adam?  And did you say made?! Did you crazy people try to build your own Frakenstein monster?!

You see two other agents approach, with taser weapons raised until one of the agents with you raises his hand.  "It's all right men.  They're friendly.  And this guy is one of us. Meet Graham Miller.he says pointing to Graham.

"I'm Agent Goldstein, that's Agent Goldberg, that's Agent Goldfinger, and that's Agent Smith.he says completing the Initiative agent introductions.

"Yes.  Of course it would still be alive and well. Because capturing vampires and demons alive is such a brilliant idea.Annabelle said melodramatically.

"Now what's all this about a mini-gun and........never mind." If she heard any more of this talk, her brain would likely explode.  Her watcher was no doubt rolling in her grave.  Capturing demons and vampire alive?  Madness.

"Water dispenser is right over there.  As for first aid, we'll start with you pal.  Looks like a demon got a piece of you."he said speaking to Michael.

OCC:He's referring to Michael's claw wound from last episode, which I presume Mike at least marginally bandaged up so he won't be leaving a trail of blood everywhere.

As a vampire, he really didn't NEED first aid...his unnatural regeneration would take care of it all, but if they all wanted to help...

Mike noticed it did some good...but frankly, it was only half as good as his natural regeneration would do in an hour or so.

Still, every little bit helps.

"Yes, and I don't supposed you have some proper British tea on the premises do you?"
Annabelle said, inspecting her fresh bandages. She fully expected the answer to be a "no", but she asked anyway.

A few more hours of sleep sounded wonderful. Even though she just awoke hours ago, she was still on London time and it was approaching midnight on her side of the water.  But with the cloud cover in Sunnydale, the vampire police, the remaining Turok-Hans, and vampires not in the two above factions were running free and wild.  Not the best time to rest, no matter how secret Graham said this location was.

"Thanks, Agent" Graham said, inspecting his bandages with a critical eye.  "Since you have been cut off, do you have any intel on the current situation?  We ran into several Turok-Hans just off campus and I am curious if they would know about this site or we just had the bad luck of running into them while out on a hunt."

Agent Goldberg proceeds to respond to everyone in turn;

"Yes, we have blood.  We keep emergency packs if one of us needs a blood transfusion. I'll get you a pack.

"No Ms., we don't have British tea here.  This is a covert military base, not a ladies book club or rugby club or whatever it is you do on the other side of the Atlantic ocean. We have coffee.

"Our sensors only detect intruders as far as the perimeter of the Lowell house property, lest we be tempted to disobey orders and engage an HST on the campus.  The first intruders we detected were you people.  So, I can't say for sure.  They could have been hunting for anything or could have been on the way here and you intercepted them.

Agent Goldberg then steps inside the refrigeration unit and returns with a bag of blood and passes it to Michael.  "Here you are.  Now if you'll all follow me to the mess hall, you can get something to eat and get a cup for your blood pack.

The Initiative agent then lead everyone to the mess hall.  "In the meantime, would one of you explain what a Turok-Han is? I'm not familiar with that type of HST.

No this most definitely isn't a book club, because I'm certain you can barely read, you witless git! Annabelle thought to herself.   These American military types were seriously annoying her.

"Michael has defined a Turok-Han rather appropriately.  But be warned not to take them lightly.  They are the vampires other vampire fear. They have no earthly wants except to hunt and devour. Those electrical rifles of yours will likely have minimal effect on them, if any."Annabelle said on the way to the mess hall.

"Actually Ms., our taser guns work on everything.  Humans, vampires, demons, even robots although we've never seen an actual robot to test it on. These Turok-Hans as you call them will be affected as well.Agent Goldberg says as he enters the mess hall and continues on into the kitchen.

"Here we are.  Help yourselves, but if you want something cooked, you'll need to do it yourselves.  We won't be cooking again until chow time at 1800 hours.

As the four of you look around, the Initiative kitchen is well stocked, quite a variety of food is available.

Annabelle looks in the nearest refrigerator/freezer.  She could hear her stomach growling, some fruit and yogurt aren't going to suit her this time.  She spots a frozen pizza, dare she be so lucky........no.  It's meat on it.  Oh crumbs.  Beggars can't be choosers, we can't very well send out for one.she thought.

She passes the frozen pizza to Buffy (who wisely kept her true nature secret from these gun-toting imbeciles).  "Here you are.  Get this cooking please."

"Anyone have any objection to pizza?  And you can have extra meat if you fancy it.  I'll be removing the meat from my portion.

Agent Goldberg flashes his best "you've got to be kidding look" at Annabelle.

"We don't have old books here Ms.  We have computers. I'll start up one of our computers for you, so you can review our HST files.  When you're done eating, take a right and look for the room three doors down.  Now you four are free to go where you please.  There are restricted areas, but you can't access them without a pass code or key card. Now, I'll set up the computer for you to look at the HST files, then if you need me, i'll be in the monitor room.

With that Agent Goldberg left, leaving the four of you alone.

Re: Episode 2-3

More than two hours later, 6:00 pm:

Office of the mayor, Sunnydale.

The Sunnydale chief of police walks into the mayor's office.  He's carrying something in a bag, looks about the size of a baseball bat.

"We found it Mr. Mayor!  You were right about its location!"the chief says excitedly.

"Good work chief.  Let's have a look."the mayor says stepping from behind his desk and into the light.

He's human.  Specifically, 5 foot 11 inches tall, about mid forties (that's the age he looks anyway), brown hair and blue eyes.

Very cold and scary blue eyes.

The mayor and the chief walk over to a table and the chief removes what's in the bag and sets it on the table.

The fabled Slayer Scythe.

"I knew it wasn't destroyed when the amulet activated. We're going to make good use of this object chief. There'll be no one to stop us.
