Episode 2-4

Sunnydale    6:02 pm.

Initiative base underneath Lowell House

Three of the four Initiative agents are in the mess hall eating dinner.

The fourth, Agent Smith is watching the monitors.

Our four heroes are going about their business.

OCC: Post at will. About 2 and a half hours have passed.  Indicate what your character is doing/has been doing at the Initiative base.

Re: Episode 2-4

After consuming her "homemade" vegetarian pizza, Annabelle spent the rest of the afternoon looking through the Initiative's computer files.  It was tedious to say the least.  As she expected, it was new typewritten font, not scans from actual occult books.  She would be sure to point that out to Michael if he deigned to join her.

Since she didn't know the exact spelling of the type of demons they faced earlier, finding information on them (if it was in here at all)would likely take some time.

Annabelle Berkshire rolled 17 using 1d10+7. Research Kotar demons.

OCC: Remember we playing the game know it's spelled Kotar, but the characters in the game don't since the demons neither spelled it out or wrote it down for the characters.  I predict Annabelle will find something with that roll.

Re: Episode 2-4

Just then, Annabelle finds what she's looking for:

Kotar Demons

Appearance-humanoid shape with green skin, large black eyes with no pupils, human like hair.

HST attributes- Can extend three claws from each hand of variable length at the HST's mental command to inflict edged damage. No other natural weapons.  HST can be terminated in the same fashion as a human, but has a high tolerance for pain. Is not as vulnerable to edged weapons or firearms as a human, but can be terminated in this fashion if sufficient damage is inflicted. Requires oxygen to breath and can be suffocated as a human can. No known vulnerability to specific form of damage. HST strength and dexterity variable, but can reach extraordinary levels.  HST travels alone or in groups of variable size.

Annabelle raises her eyebrows.

"I say, that's rather good."she says upon finding the entry.

She looks to her left and finds what appears to be an intercom system. Pressing a button, she speaks into it.  "Everyone come to the computer room quickly.  I've found information on Kotar demons.

Annabelle then turns back to the entry and begins to read.

Re: Episode 2-4

Annabelle frowned when she finished reading.  "That was less informative than I hoped.  Nothing about their code of honor or other notable behavioral traits.  But then that's what you get when the entry is written by a pack of nancy ninja boys rather than an actual occult book. Look Michael, it's not an actual occult book scan. That would be expecting far too much from these people.she said pointing to the screen.

She rereads part of the entry on their abilities; "If this is all correct, you can slay them the same as a human being.  You certainly proved decapitation is effective. But they aren't as harmed by firearms or edged weapons as much as a human body.  That is common of most demons, they don't have as many organs or blood vessels as a  frail human does.

She looks over Michael up and down.  "Or in the case of a vampire, most or your organs don't function anymore.  They're like a squatting tenant not paying any rent."

Graham ate his double meat pizza while trying to think about their hosts. Graham had not heard anything about reactivating the Initiative base before he left.  "I know things are bad here with Buffy and her friends gone, but how did the military know there would be a problem, so many months ago," Graham thought to himself.

After finishing his food, Graham went back to the main room to talk to the Agents, hoping to find out more about their mission and hopefully their capabilities in case unwelcome visitors came calling.

Re: Episode 2-4

Graham spent the rest of the afternoon talking to Agents Goldstein, Goldberg, and Goldfinger.

They explained their mission is to guard the base.  Period.  If college were still in session and 100 vampires showed up to attack the student body, they weren't to interfere.  Their tracking/sensor capabilities only went as far as the Lowell House property. As far as weapons go, they have enough to arm about ten people altogether.

If there is a greater purpose to their presence, no one told them. They talk rather freely with Graham, since he is one of them after all.

As 6:00 pm approaches, the 3 agents head to the mess hall, leaving just Agent Smith on monitor duty.

A few minutes later they join everyone in the computer room at Annabelle's announcement regarding Kotar Demons.

"Scary looking monster."says Agent Goldfinger looking at the Kotar Demon entry.  "So you people have encountered one of them?"

Mike points out, "Under the current circumstances, with law enforcement being replaced by vampires specifically, and a few Turok Han left, it seems wiser to me to carry medieval weaponry. Of course, that might be my unnatural strength talking, or maybe it's just that I'm not the least bit trained in firearms, but, well, you get the idea. Or maybe it's just the fact swords don't make noise, and civilians can't call the cops if they don't hear a problem."

"Very funny.  It's obviously Smith or your pal Miller playing a joke.  If any intruders, vamp cops or otherwise, penetrated the base it would set off alarms loud enough to wake up the whole state. Agent Goldfinger said, shaking his head in disapproval at Annabelle and Mike.

"I'll take care of this."Goldfinger said as he stepped out into the hall.  "Okay, this is not.................."

BA-KOW!!!!

You hear an ear-splitting gun shot, that makes everyone jump.  Michael's superior vampire ears are particularly ringing.

A second later, you see Agent Goldfinger hit the floor in front of the doorway to the computer room with a large caliber bullet wound in his heart.  If Goldfinger isn't dead, he soon will be without help.

Once again, you hear a voice: "I said everybody step outside with your hands in the air! Come outside without your hands up and you get shot like that guy!!"

OCC: Goldfinger is lying on the floor, in front of the computer room doorway with a bullet wound in his heart. He may or may not be dead. From your vantage point inside the computer room, you can't see who is in the hallway or how many of them are there. From the size of the bullet wound in Goldfinger's chest, at least one of them has a rifle.

Graham decided now was a good time to try to get more information out of Agent Smith. He asked several questions about Smith's last assignment and the name of their current supervising agent.  Graham tried to carefully bring the conversation to any details about the current strength of the Initiative and their current objectives.

While asking his questions, Graham made sure to pay attention to the monitors as well, just to make sure he was paying attention to their perimeter.

Re: Episode 2-4

In the computer room:

Two seconds pass.  Then one figure appears in the doorway.  He's a SWAT team member with the appropriate chest armor and helmet. You can see his fangs and yellow eyes through his clear face visor, verifying he's a vampire cop if there was any doubt.

He's also holding an assault rifle and looks like he's about to start spraying bullets.

In the monitor room:

Agent Smith was quite evasive, not answering any of Graham's questions, telling Graham he doesn't have a need to know.  He's also shut down all the internal and external video monitors, claiming it's maintenance time for them.  Graham never heard of that procedure before.

Then Graham noticed something really peculiar: all the alarms were deactivated.  Any intruder could walk right into the base without disturbing anything.

Agent Smith followed Graham's eyes and realized he'd been exposed.

"You couldn't leave well enough alone could you Miller?! Well, now you'll be as dead as your friends!

Agent Smith's right hand reaches for his pistol sidearm, he's about to draw on Graham.

OCC: Combat thread time in two locations. Graham has Agent Smith to deal with in the monitor room.  Everyone else has at least one vamp SWAT cop to deal with this round. (plus there are probably more to deal with outside the computer room where you can't see).  Good guys have initiative in both places.

Re: Episode 2-4

Mike took point, trapping the enemy cop in the doorway so all his friends couldn't get by, and then aimed a one two combo at his face. WHAM! WHAM!  Both of Mike's blows connected, although the SWAT vamp's helmet reduced their impact somewhat.

Sadly for Buffybot the vamp cop took away the option of an immediate rescue of Goldie. Leaving the Buffenator no choice but to take the vamp cop down quickly! "Youre out of luck pal!"

The SWAT vamp dodges her attack.  "No, you're out of luck!  We're going to destroy your butt and sell your parts on ebay!  And don't bother begging to join our team, we don't have an opening for Robocop!"

Annabelle stood rigid, stake in hand, ready to attack.  When the vampire policeman appeared in the doorway with the rifle, she decided her first order of business is to relieve him of that weapon.

Michael would likely nail him first, but she waited for the moment to take the rifle from him.
And she succeeded as she snatched his rifle out of his hands.  Her attempt was weak, but defending against the others left him vulnerable.

"I'll take that."Goldberg said running forward and snatching the rifle from Annabelle's hands.

"And you Ms. need to stay out of the line of fire." Goldstein said grabbing Annabelle from behind as he begins to drag her to the back of the room.

Seeing that he was outnumbered, the SWAT vamp quickly retreated back out to the hallway.  "Why don't you come out here and try that!"he said smiling through his fangs as he held up five fingers with his right hand, thus signaling his allies (that you still can't see) that five enemies are in the computer room.

Goldberg points the rifle at the SWAT vamp now standing outside in the hallway, but in front of the computer room doorway.  "Both of you get out of the way and give me a clear shot at him!"he shouts at Mike and Buffy.

OCC: Back to the combat thread. The SWAT vamp is now standing out in the hallway, but in front of the door. So if you want to attack him up close, you would need to step out in the hallway (and expose yourself to attacks from whatever other SWAT vamps are out in the hallway)Goldfinger can now be rescued if anyone wants to try it.  Goldberg has the rifle, Annabelle is being held by the waist by Goldstein.

Somewhere else.

Sunnydale mayor's office

The mayor is kneeling on the floor.  His eyes are closed and he is chanting in Latin.  Occult symbols are drawn on the floor, candles are present.

In front of the mayor is the Slayer scythe and it is glowing.  The chief of police stands a few feet away, watching the proceedings.

The scythe glows bright enough to fill the room with light and the building shakes.  Then the glowing stops.

The mayor stands up and looks at the chief.  "It's done.  The witch's spell has been reversed.  The balance is restored. Once more there is one Slayer in all the world.

"Good news for us eh Mr. Mayor? We won't have to worry about any Slayers in Sunnydale anymore."says the chief.

"Yes chief, no more Slayer problems for us.  Unless the one Slayer is the Berkshire girl.  But seriously, what are the odds of that happening?

Re: Episode 2-4

Annabelle dropped to the ground, feeling like she was going to die.  Then five seconds later she felt powerful, more than she ever had in her life.

She looked over towards the doorway, zeroing in on the SWAT vamp mocking them from the hallway.
Her only thought now was to unleash hell on him.

Springing to her feet, she charged towards him, growling like a wild animal. She leaps past Michael and WHAM! A punch. Then WHAM! A kick. Then WHAM! A spin kick. And finally THOK! A stake to his heart as the SWAT vamp explodes into dust.

She turns to the left in the hallway and sees one more SWAT vamp waiting.

Somewhat awed by Annabelle's awakening as a Slayer, Mike didn't pay too much attention to the vampire he was trying to punch in front of him as he stepped out in the hall.  The other SWAT vamp dodged Mike, but made no move to attack, lest he incur the wrath of the super Slayer.

"Hate to tell you guys this, but it looks like her power level just went over 9000."

The remaining SWAT vamp turns and dashes down the hall.

Mike seems to be adept at getting out of the way of those firing with missile weapons, though. He mostly just punches SWAT vamps from the side while whatever artillery the military wants to use is being fired.

But Goldstein makes no move to fire the rifle in his hands.

"And please tell me you're not using bullets..."

"Not now.  Bullets would hurt all of you more then the HST's in SWAT combat armor. Goldstein says to Mike as he watches the other SWAT vamp retreat. Goldstein checks Goldfingers's pulse.  "He's still alive! Goldberg get the medical kit off the wall!"

Goldberg gets the medical kit, but stops to check the video monitors from the computer room."We've got nothing!  All the monitors have been shut down! We have no idea how many of them may be here!  Smith may be dead!

OCC: Back to the combat thread.  Unless you want to stay where you are and not pursue the retreating SWAT vamp. Since Annabelle already dusted the first one, I applied Mike's actions to the second one out in the hall (he would have been hit if the dice were nicer to Mike). Yes, Goldfinger is still alive.  Even generic Initiative agents get two levels of hard to kill and that made the difference.

Monitor room:

Sudden realization dawned on Graham as he saw Smith move for his weapon. In that moment, Graham flashed back to the last night with his squad.  Petrov was supposed to be on perimeter duty, but Graham had seen him drinking with the others while Graham asked Dr. Magnelli to dinner that night.  Graham should have said something to Petrov and possibly have saved some of his squad from the attacking demons.  Graham didn't then.  But this was now. A calm fury overcame Graham as he faced the rogue Agent.

With an almost bestial shout, Graham flew at Smith, closing the distance quickly, while punching with his right fist.  WHAM!  You can hear Smith's jaw crack. After connecting with his punch, he lashed out with his left leg, sweeping at Smith's legs, knocking Smith into the computer panel on his way down, where he landed with a crash to the floor.

Smith was down for now, but he groggily reached for his pistol again from his prone position.

OCC: Back to the combat thread for Graham.  You have initiative (no pun intended). Don't forget to roll a defense.  Smith couldn't attack this round since you knocked him down, but he can attack next round and is going for his gun again.

Re: Episode 2-4

Annabelle may have superspeed, but don't count Mike out! He's still faster then your run of the mill vampire, even one on the SWAT team. And he's still the world champion vamp tosser.

As the enemy tried to run, he tried to grab him and toss him. Toss him...straight at the waiting Slayer. But this SWAT vamp defeated Mike's plans as he escaped his grasp.

Buffybot was silent at least the groups latest still had staying power. Maybe they can have few casualties this time around. With nothing else left to do here. Well with Annabelle getting her powers boosted. She pursues the remaining vamp swat and fails to hit him as well.

Annabelle wasn't in the mood for staking at the moment.  Chasing after the SWAT vamp, she reached out trying to grab him by the neck and then intended to twist and snap his neck.

"How many more of you are there?!  Where are they?! Tell me!"she screamed, trying to intimidate the vampire into giving up information if she caught him.

But the SWAT vamp said nothing as he evaded her grasp as well and kept running through the Initiative base.  The SWAT vamp made no move to attack, devoting all his energies to not getting hit.

OCC: Back to the combat thread.  You are all keeping pace with the running vamp, so he is within attack range. The SWAT vamp was unscathed this round. Remember bad guys have drama points too.

Re: Episode 2-4

Mike was SURE he'd had him last time...and it was discouraging to see his normally airtight grasp evaded. His attempt this time was relatively half hearted as the SWAT vamp avoided him again.

Annabelle poured on her speed of the pursuing SWAT vamp, more determined than ever to catch him since he somehow managed to evade all of them a moment ago. She launched her body forward, intending to tackle him to the ground, A move commonly used in what these Yanks call football because they call football soccer she thought, and follow it up with two punches. But her determination was not enough as the SWAT vamp moved out of her reach as he poured on the speed, leading his pursuers down the hall and makes a sharp right.

You three follow him on the turn and see why he ran this way.  Way down the hall you see three additional SWAT vamps and they are all holding Initiative taser rifles.  The SWAT vamp you were chasing suddenly dives on the floor, giving his buddies a clear line of fire towards you.

The three SWAT vamps with guns take aim.

OCC: Back to the combat thread. You see three SWAT vamps with taser rifles ready to open fire. THE BAD GUYS HAVE INITIATIVE. They are far enough a way to fire first before you get close enough to attack.  UNLESS, you make a ranged attack as well. Thrown wooden stake to the heart for example.  If the good guys make ranged attacks they have initiative. The SWAT vamp you were chasing isn't a threat this round, he's on the ground waiting for his buddies to nail you.

In the monitor room:

Graham kicked out with his foot, knocking the gun out of the traitor's grasp and across the floor.

Then Graham fell on the agent, punching out with uncontrollable fury. "They are your comrades!" Punch. "You were supposed to be watching their backs!" Punch. "How could you let them die!" By the time he reached the last sentence he is almost sobbing with rage, as the regrets of the loss of his team, seem to be purging themselves through each connection of fist with face.

Smith's face is now a bloody mess.  "Stop it Miller! Stop it!  I'm just joining the winning team. The vampires are the power in Sunnydale now. They're gonna make me a vampire too.  What does a few dead Initiative agents matter?  You have to look at the big picture. Maybe there's a spot for you in their new order. Just help me finish off the rest of the agents here and I'll put in a good word for you. Smith finished confidently (while coughing up blood).

OOC: So I know he only gets 2 attacks (disarm and 1 punch) but from a narrative point of view this is how I see Graham reacting to this situation.  Little much I know, but PTSD and nightmares of his past do come to haunt him quite often.
That's fine.  Dramatic license and all. I predict after what Smith just said, Graham's gonna be even more angry at Smith.

Annabelle freezes at the sight of the SWAT vamps with the lightning rifles.

"We've been lead into an ambush! Peachy."she says as she hurls her wooden stake at the heart of the nearest SWAT vamp.  THOK!  FOOM!

The vampire explodes to dust as his comrades look on in awe, pausing for a second.

Annabelle then reaches for the SWAT vamp on the ground, grabbing his neck, then pulls him up to his feet and twists his neck three times.  CRACK! CRACK! CRACK! Amazingly he doesn't dust, but he'll make a suitable shield against the other SWAT vamps. As Annabelle glances down at her hostage's belt she sees he's packing a wooden stake in addition to a pistol and baton.

Mike smoothly came in, attempting to dodge gunfire, before grabbing a SWAT vamp Annabelle hadn't dealt with yet and tossing him down the hallway, towards Buffybot. If he wasn't as fast as Annabelle at the moment, his speed was still quite impressive, rivaling that of many master vampires.

The SWAT vamp landed with a thud in front of the robot making him an easy target.

Buffybot just heard what was a near curse by Annabelle. "Blast she's right....should've seen it coming.' as she punched twice at the now downed SWAT vamp.

But the last remaining SWAT vamp took aim at Buffy with his taser rifle, but she managed to dodge out of the way as the lightning blast traveled down the hall and struck the wall.

OCC: Back to the combat thread. Good guys have initiative since your now close enough to attack. Three SWAT vamps left, one standing, one on the ground, one being held by Annabelle.

Mike felt fine, even if he wasn't entirely on his game, as he tries to grab the 'arresting' vampire and give him a good toss.

"How about no?"

"How about yes!"the SWAT vamp says as he evades Mike's grip.

Buffybot was REALLY pissed. "Sorry you lost your police powers when you lost your humanity. So I don't think so." When the SWAT Vamp made for the gun she knocked it out of his hand and down the hallway.

The SWAT vamp took off running and shouting into his radio as he ran.  "M15. M15. Officers down under Lowell House!  We need back up!"

The voice on the other end says "Roger that.  Backup on the way.  Twenty vamp cops will be there in five minutes."

Re: Episode 2-4

If at first you don't succeed, try again! He got his act together, and even if Annabelle's super powers wore off, Mike was the same as always. He'd get this guy.

"Calling for backup won't save you. I'll take down your entire police force, one at a time, if need be."

"Ahhh! I feel the dread lurgy coming on."Annabelle said trying to stand up, but only making it to her knees.  She'll be no help for now.

"Get him for me Michael!"she shouts.

This time, Mike successfully grabs the SWAT vamp and hurls him to the ground.  "Good luck with that!"said the downed SWAT vamp still sounding cocky.  "You can't beat all of us.  Or our new buddies."

Just then Mike saw something out of the corner of his eye.  Agent Goldberg was creeping closer to him with a taser rifle ready to fire.

Zzzzzattt!  Mike leapt out of the way as the electric blast hit the wall.

Looks like Smith isn't the only traitor in the group.  "Give it up!  You can't win!  And don't expect Goldstein or Goldfinger to help. I just retired them both permanently! Goldberg said, raising his rifle for another shot at Mike.

Just then Annabelle managed to stand all the way up.  She seems to be feeling better (and ready to fight).

OCC: Back to the combat thread. Two enemies to deal with, one downed SWAT vamp and one traitorous Initiative agent. Annabelle is back in the fight.

Re: Episode 2-4

Mike ignores defensive considerations, and deals with the situation at hand.

"You won't live to see it" as he tries to end the downed SWAT vamp. But the SWAT vamp has other ideas as he rolls out of the way of Mike's fatal stake thrust, throwing Mike off balance and derailing his plans for the traitorous Initiative agent.

"Youre a liar Goldberg! Even if you managed to take them down. It's YOU who will retire permanently." That was something about Goldberg that got to her. Still Buffybot needs to avenge their fallen comrades. "Game's up Goldie and no reset button for you!"

"I don't think so."said the traitor as he dodged Buffy's attack then took aim at Mike again.

ZZZAAATT!  Mike was an easy target since he was in full attack mode, the electricity rips into him.

The remaining SWAT vamp then jumped back to his feet and took off running. "Come on Goldberg!  We'll head for the monitor room and hold them off there while back up arrives.  Smith has probably finished off that Miller punk by now!

Annabelle stood up, feeling much stronger, though not as strong as before.  What's happening to her was an enigma, but no time to work it out now.  Goldberg's a traitor?  Goldstein and Goldfinger dead?!she thought.

If there was  a chance to save them, she had to try and her allies seemed to have the enemy in hand. "I'm going to see if Goldstein and Goldfinger  are still alive and save them if I can!"she shouts as she dashes off back to the computer room, dodging any attacks that came her way.

She made it to the computer room and found two dead bodies.  Goldstein had been stabbed multiple times, Goldfinger has a stab wound his neck along with the huge bullet wound in his heart. A quick check of their pulses revealed these two were beyond help.

OCC: First thing Mike needs to do is make a constitution doubled roll with a -9 penalty (yes -9 those taser guns pack a punch), or else he's knocked out.  Remember if you make multiple attacks and miss one, you can't make, the rest so the stake attack miss voided your grapple and toss moves. Two enemies left, the SWAT vamp is running for the computer room, Goldberg is still here with his taser rifle. Oh and Mike took a whooping 1 point of damage from the taser attack (it's 5 points bash damage, your NT reduced to a devastating 1 point)

Re: Episode 2-4

Mike had had it. And when Mike's had enough of traitors and vampire SWAT teams, it's a bad day for them. Tanking the zap with style...it didn't even singe him, really...

He threw a stake, quite precisely, towards the back of the fleeing vampire... Thok...Foom...He's dust. And then ruthlessly came up behind the traitor...and went to snap his neck. CRACK! Pissed off as he was, he didn't REALLY want to kill him...but he wouldn't cry about it if he did.

Goldberg dropped to the floor, still alive, but no longer a threat.  "Ahhhh!!! You almost ripped my head off!  I surrender!  I give up man! You win!"

OCC: Back to the main thread. All enemies defeated. All SWAT vamps dusted, Goldberg is in no condition to fight.

"It's true. Goldstein and Goldfinger are dead and.............I see Goldberg here wishes he was dead.  I imagine his neck didn't get at that odd angle all by itself.

She looks down at Goldberg.  "You're lucky he didn't kill you you blooming bastard!  It's no less than you deserve and now...........wait a moment!  Where's Graham?!  And didn't that last SWAT vampire say something about Smith finishing him off?! There's more than one Judas in this house!

Annabelle paused waiting for Graham to join her, hoping he wouldn't continue beating on Smith who clearly was no longer a threat.

Although I'd love to be in the room when they explain how they let us get away to their vampire masters.  Vampires aren't the most forgiving sort.she thought.

She was carrying a wooden stake in each hand that she had previously retrieved from the hallway.  Hopefully they could make it to their vehicle and leave without incident.  But if there was resistance, let them come.  She was now a force to be reckoned with.

Minutes later, Graham appears.  "Alright guys, let's get out of.........."

BLAM! BLAM! BLAM!  Graham's just been shot three times in the chest!  He's dead for sure, no human being can survive that.

Three cops step from the bushes with smoking guns. Vamp cops for sure since they have vamp faces, but not SWAT vamps this time, just regular vamp cops.

They had been in the vicinity and arrived earlier than the rest.  They had pulled up their squad car up front without the sirens going and were able to stealthily take up their hiding spots in the bushes.

The three of you then hear police sirens.  Lots of them.  Getting closer.

OCC: Graham's dead.  Or is he?  Maybe things aren't what they seem. Three vamp cops are here and a lot more on the way.

But they won't be for long unless they find a new place to hide.

Re: Episode 2-4

At Lowell House:

The Sunnydale police are investigating the scene at Lowell
House.  Police cars and SWAT vans with their lights flashing are spread about the lawn.  Cops come and go from the secret underground Initiative base (they have all the necessary security clearances thanks to their traitorous allies).

Sunnydale's police chief approaches a body covered by a white sheet on the lawn, having received a preliminary report on the casulties on the way over.

"Agent Miller I presume.  My boys have retired you permanently."the chief states as he lifts up the sheet.  "Wait a minute!"the chief says checking Graham's pulse.  "He's still alive!"

At the sound of that, several cops gather round the Chief and Graham's "body".  "Normal humans don't survive three gunshot wounds to the chest. the chief says pulling back Graham's shirt and sees the lightweight bullet proof vest underneath.  "Very clever of him. This vest doesn't create much of a bulge, his allies probably didn't even know he was wearing it which is why they left him, thinking he was dead for sure.

One cops steps forward, drawing his pistol.  "You want me to finish him off Chief?"

"No, he may be more useful to us alive. Get him some medical attention, then take him back to headquarters." the chief responds as he turns to another cop exiting the house.  "So our two allies are dead eh along with everyone else?"

"Right chief, all the Initiative agents here, both on our side and not are all dead."responds the cop.

The chief claps his hands to get everyone's attention."Alright, let's finish up here.  Torch the house and the secret base beneath it.  We're not letting anyone else use it again."

Not too long afterwards, Lowell House is burning and you can hear explosions beneath it signalling the end of the secret Initiative base.

Elsewhere in Sunnydale:

A jeep pulls up to the back entrance of The Fish Tank.
