Introduction and RTJ
You are a passenger on the Sargavan merchant trader Jenivere heading to the city of Eleder.  Captain Alizandru Kovack, First Mate Alton Devers, and the crew have run a taunt ship and the voyage has been uneventful.  There are several other passengers (who will be detailed later) who sit down for an evening meal, 1 of the last planned meals as you near your destination.  Then...everything is dark and silent. Then, sensation begins to creep back in—the feel of sand below and of something wet lapping at your feet, the sound of ocean waves washing against a beach, and a heavy pressure over your legs. Then, suddenly, you feel a searing pain in one foot...


   You have been shipwrecked on a tropical island with the other passengers and must survive.  This is a survival scenario, so there is no store.  Equipment will be what you have or can find.  The environment is a harsh and unforgiving place, plan accordingly.
   I intend to run a faster paced game and would like everyone to post daily (3/week is ok), I will try to post daily (and can post on weekends)and advance the plot.  I will roll for thing's like perception, initiative, saves and many skill checks, to save time.  For combat I adopt a side A goes, side B goes.  If you say "I target goblin3", and by your turn your target is already down. I will switch you to another reasonable target (if possible).
   I have been running another game on this site for 1.5 years, so I am in this for the long haul.  I will try to listen if you think I have made the wrong call, or am being unreasonable.  Just PM me.
   This AP lends itself to varied characters from wildly different backgrounds, but I will prefer characters that can work together.  Some inter-character conflict is ok, but PVP will NOT be allowed.
  As you are isolated from civilization, replacement characters are difficult to justify.  Options include
-playing an NPC(there will be several),
-declaring instead of DEAD the character is INJURED(pick a flaw) until you arrive at the mainland and can have it attended to or
-playing a fellow survivor (from the Jenivere or a previous crash- 1 or 2 maybe).  There are other possibilities, but let's hope it doesn't come to that.  But keep this in mind while playing.

starting level 1
starting stuff Minimal equipment, chose what your character ought to have, and then I will tell you what you do have.  Try to keep yourself with reasonable boundaries for 1st level characters.
This is a survival scenario, so we will keep track of food, water, spell components, arrows, etc...

xp
since xp is not used in item creation, leveling will be done at appropriate points along the adventure path.

- No Guns (I don't like guns in my fantasy)

- You may suggest a +2 to 2 skills feat(like Athletic or Acrobatic), as long as the skills are related to each other.  If you have 10 or more ranks in one of these skills, the bonus increases to +4 for that skill.

- New use for the Know:Nature skill; scavenge spell component.
  Takes 1/2 a day to make a roll. You can provide alternate components for one spell of 1st level, for every 2 points by which your check result exceeds 10 you may add 1 spell or 1 spell level.  Components that are easy to find (like sand on a beach), require no roll.
