Murron stumbles forward a step under Sathras' gentle urging, and he can't help but chuckle lightly at his new found friend's actions.

"Sathras is smart too," Murron says with a slight smile on his face and the remnants of his chuckle in his voice, "and he has the right of it.  As far as I understand it, the town of Anasa was destroyed by a meteor strike and now the dead have risen in that area."

Her shoulders move in a sinuous shrug and when all other speaking is over, her melodic but quiet voice is heard.

"Something isn't right in the world," she says.  "Nature is... unsettled."

Straightening up some and nodding to his gathered companions Califax addressed the official.

I think the upshot of this is that maybe you should lead the way to where we can relax and get some more information on what exactly is wanted so we can make a move of getting things orginaized to go do this job.

Re: Phandir 19

D'Sava listens to each person in turn, nodding here and there. When Califax finishes his statement D'Sava laughs briefly before his face turns grim; "Yes yes, Anasa was totally destroyed by the meteor strike. We lost many good people there as well as a defensible position against Rajan depredations. The dead do indeed wander in that area, this has been confirmed by small patrols we have sent out there, some of which unfortunately did not return. There is more dire news to report, but I will leave that to our king this evening. For now everyone please follow me, you will be brought to the Jewel of the Sands, one of our finer inns, and people can determine their preference of accomodation at that time."

D'Sava turns to head away and his escort encircle him, still casting the occasional glance at the Sauran and Harakin. The group heads down one of the wider streets and passersby make way for everyone.

Being fully packed and ready to go, Dii follows in suit behind the captain and his armed entourage. Casting a glance toward Shadow she says in Elder Tongue,

OOC: If anyone else understands Elder Tongue, I will gladly tell you what Dii is saying.

She looks at Dii and bows her head to tell the woman she heard and understood the questions.

"I will think on it," she replies simply while following.  Her hand resting gently on the flank of her equs.  Her fingers linger on a purple stone in a woven cloth necklace and her normally distant expression becomes more focused and even more distant.

Burikan gathers up his gear and starts to follow D'Sava towards the Jewel of the Sands inn. As they walk he looks over the odd assortment of those in the group. His eyes linger on the Sauran for a moment, it is strange to see one such as this in other than an arena.

Some of the other look familiar while others are completely alien to him and his experiences.

Sathras the Bold:
Sathras follows along, but prods Murron. "Fancy man use big words. He must be smart, too. Murron understand what fancy man say? We go somewhere now? You tell fancy man that we need food."

Murron swings up into the saddle, clucks, and gently gigs his old aht-ra to get it walking as he lovingly says, "come now, Chimtar, it's time to get moving old man!"

Turning to Sathras, Murron can't help but flash a smile as he says, "aye, my bold friend, we go to new bed and more food!"

Murron looks over to the Harakin and nods in acknowledgment once he makes eye contact, and then says, "hello, traveler.  Welcome to our motley bunch.  I am Murron."

As they walk slowly down the streets of Dracarta toward the inn, Murron motions with his hand toward each member of the group as he introduces them to Burikan, "and my rather large Sauran friend here is Sathras!  The Ariane is Shadow, the Cymrilian is Califax, the Kasmiran is Kafa da Nir, the Danuvian is Dii Ahnah, and the Aamanian is Aaban."

While traversing the Streets of Dracarta behind the militant entourage, Dii keeps an eye out for a good place to sell the copies she's made of the maps she's been charting since leaving her home. Perhaps the commander would be one to ask...

Re: Phandir 19

The streets of Dracarta bustle with activity as you follow the entourage to the inn. Most people seem far to engrossed in their activities to notice the group but groups of children gather here and there, watching the group. Their eyes grow wide with wonder at the collection of races before them and just a little fear at the sight of the hulking Sauran. D'Sava finally brings everyone to a halt in front of the Jewel of the Sands, gesturing for the group to join him inside.

D'Sava approaches the inkeeper who is looking at the group with wide eyes; "Innkeeper, this group of people are official guests of the king and council of Dracarta and are to be afforded every courtesy. You are to provide them with rooms as they request, the bill to be presented to the court."

With that done D'Sava turns to the group; "Decide amongst yourselves what accomodations you desire then let the innkeeper know. He will provide you with the necessary quarters and refreshment while you wait for this evening when you will all meet with king and council for further information. I thank you again in advance in the name of our King and for the people of Carantheum. Be well and I will see you all later."

Re: Phandir 19

With the offer of the Kingdom of Dracarta providing the purchase of rooms, for once, the Kasmirin is satisfied with the accommodations provided for his efforts to come and help.

"Well that's a little more like it."
He says mostly to himself.

Wondering if it is safer to find rooms near each other, or if he should purposely find a room away from the motley group, Kafa asks of the innkeep, "Are there any rooms without windows?"

Slight backpost:
Burikan nods his head to Murron and those he introduces, "I am Burikan of the Buri clan."

Now back in time:

Burikan eyes the innkeeper for a moment and says, "I am not too particular, just point me to the nearest room with at least a semi-soft place to lay my head and I will be happy. If I need to share the room that is fine as well, just be warned that the Buri are fierce snorers by tradition."

Califax chuckles and slaps Sathras on the back.

Simple things for you I see.  I dare say if you asked then to heat rocks for you to make a bed on they would see it done. Now addressing the tender I'm sure any of the rooms you provide will be more than comfortable enough for me, but a bath would do wonders after this long treck.  A meal and some wine would also help to pass the time well.

Re: Phandir 19

The innkeeper smiles and nods as everyone describes their preferences. He claps his hands and several young men and women, obviously his children, enter the room swiftly. He looks at each member of the party and gives instructions to the group of his children; "For the Aamanian I believe we have a small spartan room that we have used before for his kind. I believe the Ariane should have her own quarters, something with lots of plants if a room like that is available, unless she and the Danuvian wish to share. For the Sauran find him a room with few windows and a large hearth, fire stoked and burning. As he seems to have become attached to the Marukan perhaps they would be interested in sharing a room, go with what they decide. For the Harakin and Cymrilian go with what they decide. I believe we have a secure room that has been used by Kasmirin before, perhaps that will suit him. Once they are all accomodated see what refreshments they want and attend to that swiftly. Off with you now!"

He looks the troupe over once more before people start off to the rooms; "If any of you have any questions about commodities provided in our fair city feel free to ask, I can likely direct you in the right direction. Otherwise I hope you all enjoy your accomodations."

OOC: Once everyone is in their rooms we can have time for people to look into anything they may need before they meet with the king and council, the group will have several hours to themselves. Alternatively we can move forward some.

Her eyes suddenly focus after the long and distant look that had been in them and they snap to Dii Ahnah.

"I have no answer for you," she tells the woman plainly and then she turns her attention on the innkeeper.  "As for my rooms, what is most convenient for you good sir."

Her expression goes distant once again.
