Phandir 19; City of Dracarta

Both the Sirocco and the Desert's Breeze arrive in Dracarta without incident. The Desert's Breeze is the first to moor and all aboard are able to watch the Sirocco fly in over the east part of the city. The Sirocco glides into place and docks effortlessly, the skysailor guiding it with obvious skill. As the crew on the Desert's Breeze begin the unloading of the cargo and the group of you bring your steeds and supplies topside you all notice a Harakin on the deck of the Sirocco watching you. Both the group and the lone Harakin speak with the respective quartermaster of their windships; T'Vala on the Sirocco and Arvaj on the Desert's Breeze. Both quartermasters direct people to the dock area where a group of Dracartan soldiers surround someone of obvious official rank. It seems soon, that all the questions that have been brewing amongst everyone are close to being answered. As everyone collects their gear and what steeds they have and disembark there is a sense of almost palpable concern radiating from the soldiers and official waiting on the docks. The exploration of the strangeness that has plagued the road heading towards what was once Anasa is soon to begin...

Re: Phandir 19; City of Dracarta

After leaning on the rail watching the other ship come along side the mooring point Califax collected the few position that he ahd brought along, slinging the the Tri-bow over his shoulder next to the pack  looking around for his travelling companions he then headed down towards the group guarding the official as directed.  The wide brimmed hat decorated with a few long feathers atop his head to keep the sun off, brushing at his coat Califax said to anyone close enough to be listening.

If it's going to stay this hot I think I'll need to re tailor my jacket somewhat.

"Sathras likes the hot," says the Sauran moving past and heading towards the soldiers. "Sathras thinks the hot suns are a blessing."

Murron gathers his gear and makes sure that it's well packed before hefting his backpack.  He walks down the gangplank and toward the Dracartan official and soldiers.

"We're here to answer the bill," Murron states plainly to the official as he walks up to him.

Califax claps Sathras on the shoulder and grins widely.

Oh I agree whole heartedly that the suns are a great blessing and this weather is very much to be enjoyed.  I just need to have adjustments made to my clothing so I can enjoy it and not over heat and be uncomfortable.

Sathras bears his fangs back to Califax. "In the home of Sathras's youth, our metal-workers toil over molten-rock." He tugs at his loin-cloth and leggings. "When the desert winds come, Satras too may need a jacket." He moves to stand behind Murron, crossing his arms across his chest.

Watches the others chat with a mild expression on her face.  She makes a small movement with her hand and her mount joins her.  She presses her hand against his scaly flank and nods before joining the rest of the group.

In reply to Shadow Seeking the Light (msg #8):

Dii checks her backpack to make sure all her gear is in it's proper place before donning it. Next, she places the weapons with their various scabbards and straps on her form. Finally, looking over her armor and bracers for any inopportune scuffs or blemishes she straightens out her garb and produces her official papers. Addressing the group surrounding the official, she heralds "Hail, soldiers of Dracarta! I bring aid from the great city-state of Danuvia!", and begins to approach them.

Burikan leans against the rail of the Sirocco and takes a long look at the other windship then at the soldiers gathered on the dock. Something definitely was afoot and soon he would know.

As he loads up his gear he nods a farewell at T'Vala and makes his way down the gangplank onto the docks.

Within a few moments he is standing amidst the soldiers waiting to hear what the official word was. He leaned on his red iron tarak with a relaxed yet supremely confident expression on his face.

Moving with the others up to the soilders Califax passes an appraising eye over Sathras, though a little worried at the show of fangs he guesses (and dearly hopes) it was just Sathras' way of showing a grin.

W...well... I think we should be able to find you a fine jacket some place.

He waited to see what responce Dii Ahnah's hail had.

Re: Phandir 19

As both ships unload and everyone begins to gather on the docks the official and his escort eye all of you. Initially the official fixes his gaze on Sathras, his eyes going wide before he catches Arvaj's eye who nods his head and gestures at the group. Next he spots Burikan and his giant tarak. Again he looks over at T'Vala who also nods his head. Apparently mollified the official gestures for the group to stand before him, his soldier escort arranged in a semicircle behind him. He draws himself up and eyes both Murron and Dii Ahnah with a small private smile on his face, finally clearing his throat and beginning to speak; "Greetings travellers, be welcome to Dracarta, especially if you are all in fact answering our call for intrepid explorers."

He nods his head in acknowledgement of both Murron and Dii Ahnah before continuing; "My name is D'Sava, one of the Nine who serve our King A'Semna, and before we continue on I would like to know what you already know so I don't waste time repeating information. Once this is done you will all be brought to secure suitable lodging to drop off your belongings and refresh yourselves, courtesy of the people of Dracarta. Later this evening you will be brought to the palace for an audience with the King where more details of the mission will be presented to you and any questions answered."

D'Sava finishes his grand speech and bows to the group, his escorts eyeing the proceedings carefully. He rises from his bow and with a smile on his face and a twinkle in his eye he speaks again; "Now then, who among you would like to inform me of what you already know of the situation?"

Sathras thumps his tail against the flooring. "Sathras tell you. Sathras know that you seek the fallen sky-fire. Sathras heard that there also danger because dead things are roaming about." Sathras's voice trails off. "Ah, perhaps one should ask Murron what papers said. Murron is smart." He prods the Marukan with one taloned hand, trying to shove the smaller man forward.

Califax smirks and nods to Sathras.

Apart form the rumours of a city being leveled our scaly companion seems to have been very accurate in what we know.  A call for explorers and brave me...people was sent forth to help determin what has happened and maybe see if there is a way to make things right again.

"Yes,"  Aaban agrees, "we know only what has been sent out in your flyers.  To my understanding, you know little more yourselves?"
