Re: The Castle of Lotan

Senuviel follows Bruga, but he goes opposite the halfling. Sword and shield in hand he explains his plan to his comrades. I go this side of the wall and Bruga gets the other side, Kree you stand in the middle of the corridor with your bow, I´ll attract the attention of whatever it is so it will see only me and then we get a chance of hitting it from 3 different sides, front, rear and flank. Saying so, Senuviel slides down the corridor to take his position.

In reply to Bruga Honeyfinder (msg # 792):

You round the corner to what appears to be a clock, a grandfather type clock against the wall. It is huge, about 5' wide and 7 feet tall.  The hallway dead ends at the clock.  The metal sound is from all the gears and such moving.

Senuviel sighs...It´s a damn clock. The elf then spends some time analyzing the hands of the clock as well as its mechanism whether possible.

In reply to Bruga Honeyfinder (msg # 796):

Clock is attached to the wall.

It is a clock.

You can reach the hands, pully system and weights though the coo coo door is at the top most of your reach and if you want to look at that you have to make a dex check or fall into the clock.  Let me know if you climb onto the clock or move any of the hands, adjust the weights, try anything with the coo coo or search for things around/in the clock or just check the time :)

Side note, the clock has the correct time by all your guesses and it is almost at the top of the hour where the coo coo comes out.

In reply to Kree Quickshadow (msg # 801):

OK then, you wait for the top of the hour.  The gears whirl and the weights and chains shift and the hands move to point to the top of the hour.  Another gear whirls and another set of weights shift you then hear the inerds whine.  The coo coo door opens and

nothing comes out.

Though you hear something small trying to get out.

No, no....stop! I heard something...sounded like "Help me." Bruga goes to the clock and opens its front door. Assuming nothing unusual, he asks Think I should hold the pendulum so as to stop it working?

Nothing happens when you open the clocks main door to access the pull chains and weights.

It seems attached to the wall, maybe it hides a door behind it and someone's in there.

Senuviel searches for secret doors or devices.

Re: The Castle of Lotan

In reply to Bruga Honeyfinder (msg # 809):

OK, lets see.  Senuviel starts to push his sword between the back of the clock and the wall but Bruga stops him.   Kree is still aiming to shoot the clock in the face.

Senuviel, your sword cannot get between the clock and the wall, you see no way without breaking your sword.  Luckily Bruga stopped you.

Now Bruga, you grab the Pendulum that is slowly swinging and well try to stop it.

Bruga please roll 3 D20's (one for strength check, one for holding on to it and the last is a mystery) THEN roll a percentage roll.

Next Bruga you need to roll 4 D20' (one a dex check to get the dagger past everything to the back of the clock, one a to hit the back of the clock, another dex check to hold onto the dagger cause you have stuck it into the back of a granfather clock with chains, pulleys, weights and such and a mystery roll)
