Re: On the way there

OOC: I think I won't be much of a help now. English ain't my native language. Word puzzles and games of words are really difficult for me to figure out in English.

Re: On the way there

Frowning, Kree says,..I do not  know...how to banter with words and such like this...if there be spells...you break them..if there be foes, you kill them...simple as that, I find it....unwise...to tey to follow the  words of a hated foe...

Re: On the way there

Bruga looks blank Sounds a bit like the old tale of LIttle Red Riding Hood. But I doubt that's much help.

Half past three...too bad it's not a quarter to three.

In reply to Bruga Honeyfinder (msg # 243):

OOC - no problem, any input good/bad/true/false is fine.   Bruga you hit it good, so help the others out about this tale you know.     What else has wolves and 3 things.  No worry the riddle do not get harder nor easier just you are going up against a slaver, master slaver so...

Clair looks to Bruga, Little red riding hood?  is that the old wives tail story we all heard as little lings around the camp fire?

Bruga relates the story of Little Red Riding Hood but adds For my part, I'd try the door again except have a rope and prop the door open. Never was any good at riddles or incomplete instructions.

"To the truth, i'm more man of action then riddles." Maki said.

"To me wolfs are probably slavers and sheep are their pray. So we need to protect those."He shrugs at the guess what it could all mean. "But to be compleately honest, if this came from the slavers, i don't want to play their little game."

In reply to Maki (msg # 248):

Action??    you can do anything go anywhere.  you are fully healed and ready to go.

You have good guesses, this is a riddle and is part of the adventure the slavers sent to one message AND another came from someone NOT a slaver.  Choose your path.  No answer, chosen path is wrong :)

Bruga just sits there, finally saying I seeem to remember tales where such words are clear...after the event.

OOC: Sorry, looked again and am blank. I'm good at crossword puzzles, but wordplay and allusions leave me blank. (Guilty feelings)

Maki stands up from his chair. "Well sitting around here all day won't bring anything." He puts his backpack on and picks up his shield. "Let's go see what the deal with the gypsies is."

Re: On the way there

In reply to Clair Brandywhine (msg # 257):

The group packs and heads out toward the swamp and the Gypse camp.

Along the way the group allows a wagon to pass, it is beat up but solid.  Looks like one of those big grain wagons with high sides and no windows/doors being pulled by 4 Oxen.  It creaks and groans as it passes.  The driver and helper on the front bench.

Snare grows at the wagon as it passes but once it passes is happy to be by Clairs side.

It is near evening when you hit a cross road - one to go directly to the camp/aka salt line and another that scurts the campp toward the swamp and has a trial to that other salt line spot you found early in the adventure - remember the gator :)

Actions?
Directly to the camp,
side trail to other salt line?
Go back and chase down that wagon?
hit the opposite direction of the camp and see what lies out that way?
Go look for more gators in the swamps?
Stop for the night?

Re: On the way there

As they stand  by the  crossroads, Kree keeps looking over his shoulder, Finally he grits his teeth and says,...you know?...our  Dwarven friend  was penned up in a wagon we could not see in? I would not mind sneaking down the road  and  checking that Wagon out.....Snare did not like that wagon....

Senuviel scratches his chin and then says in a sort of monotonous tone: I say we focus on the gypsies for the time being. They might have important information that could help us bring justice to those slavers or whomever  has done that to them.

Re: On the way there

The Angst on Kree's face was easy to see,..I really did not have a chance before...and, I know they cannot  out distance  us..they have to stop and  feed the  animals, water them...and rest....  A goodly run  would bring us down on them as they camp....

Turning and looking the  other Direction he shrugged, would be  nice to free the Gypsies...but they have  been held this long...another  few hours   should not matter....BUT he held  up a finger,...if there  are slaves in that wagon...we will have saved them....if there are not?...word  will get around that someone hunting the roads, and that may slow do slaver traffic for a while....if they carry slaves...we  kill them ..and that that stops  these fellows...we could even use the wagon to help break the salt line?...perhaps, even us it as a Bridge for the gypsies to cross over?

Re: On the way there

Senuviel looks really upset but constrains his anger. <agree>Gee, Kree! Your obssession is sometimes unbearable. BUT!</AQUA> Senuviel holds up a finger just like Kree did before. I trust your judgement and reasoning. Let's finish this wagon business at once. The elf then looks at the others. Whoever disagrees with this plan of action, just stay here and wait for our return. Grabbing the bow, quiver, sword and shield, the warrior/mage nods at Kree and looks at Maki. Lead on, Hunter. Are you joining us Holy Warrior?
