In reply to Senuviel Alantir (msg # 316):

Laughing from the drivers seat, well, if you want to check it then fool, open the top loading hatch and look see,  still has his crossbow aimed at Senuviel if Senuviel stays in site - the wagon is still moving slowly.

The young lad recovers some and points to a half obscured hatch - master Kree, it is hinged to me and you just need to pull it up till it opens else it will re close there is a cath to hold it in place.   looking puzzled, only grain is in the wagon - look see.

The rest of the group is at the wagon, it is slowing down so you all can circle the wagon :) if you like.

The young lad looks nervous, ah, master Kree, dddiiiddddd you wwwaaannntt me ta open it fur ya?  indicating the hatch?

From the front comes a chuckle, ain'ta nothing wurse den a nosy strangers, ( senuviel as you move out of your eye site from him but he disappears maybe from your movement or his).

Kree, the driver says, I coming up thar, da horses be stopping ion thur own if ins they want to.  No weapons out - just wants to make sure ya do not spill any of may grain.  And the driver head slowly pops up then climbs up to be next to the lad - no crossbow though he has a fine looking Long sword and Short Sword scabbered at his hip.  sigh, Kree he is big and brawny as he stands there looking at you, Well, go ahead an open it i ain't gonna stop ya with a smile you wanted to check so go on time is money wasted.  he looks relaxed and not concerned the rest have caught up.

Kree Keeps  an eye on the wagoner...Clair?...see if there is a Place, Snare is Most concerned about....

The elf does not seemed overly concerned at the wagoner's size. He is..after all..an Elf, he tends to be smaller then anyone else.

Mighty fine looking Blades, for a wagoneer. I do not see too many who carry weapons   such as that....Very shortly? You will be one your  way, complaining  about Hunters who waste your time, My own comrades, may even browbeat me a little....Or....you will lie bleeding out, on the road, as  we free  your prisoners....either way?... we will find out.

Maki, having finally cought up to the wagon, raises his hasn in a greeting.

"I apologise for the delay, good man. My friends and i are chasing slavers, and by now they seem to suspect everyone is involved. Unfortunately the one who we are tracking is indeed a tricky one."

The paladin concentrates shortly at the man and the young boy, making sure there is no evil in them.

The Elf Looks at the Lad,..the Latch looks....odd...to me..perhaps you would be   so Kind  as to Open it?...

SNARE!...what do you see? he yells over his shoulder, without taking  his  eyes  off the two.

Bruga?  if you would be so kind, as to check the walls of the wagon?....just because grain is in the  wagon, does not mean there are no false walls....or bottom...

With very little, if  any concern in his voice, Kree adds to the wagoner,..had you been traveling in My lands...you would have been searched  and marked....once we are done here, if  we needs  not, kill you?..I will mark your wagon, to alert other Hunters, to allow you to pass...

In reply to Kree Quickshadow (msg # 326):

Bruga actions?  The rest of the groupactions?

Snare just is lowly growling as he and Clair circle the wagon.

The lad perks up and with a quickk look to the driver slowly opens the hatch and sets  it.  Reaches in and pulls out a handfull of grain. Backs away and looks to Kree, Master Kree, go ahead an see too.

The driver nods at the lad, grins at Kree, marking my wagon will cost you a gold.  Lucky i do not charge you for slowing me down nor touching my grain with your hands.

Chuckles at the false sides comment.    She can hold 3 tons of grain, yes I have two compartments but the hatch allows access to both from one spot.  I would not have empty space on my wagon nor waste time with contraband as that usually get's you in the end.

Maki - No evil, no evil intent though you pick up the driver is not that happy but nothing bad is sensed within a 10' radius as you walk about the wagon and grounds.  though Snare glows evil intent but not at you at the wagon.

Bruga roll your detect stuff, as everyone who thinks they could detect things or not can roll or just roll any way to roll the dice :)   Magic DM numbers are 100, 01, 88 n 69 for something - could be a zonk or a new car !!!! ;)

Bruga perceives that the wagon looks sturdy, is under a lot of stress (weight) and looks solid though the underside could use a good cleaning and possible repair soon.  Other then that nothing else.

The driver looks to Bruga, eye my little feller, she (the wagon) is in needs a repairs and tis twas her last run till I fixn her up.  Weight, laughs, ya see tis wagon can hold up ta 5,000 lbs which grain, corn, wheat and such may be light ta da touch out in thar field but when you grinds it down or stuffs it layer pon layer it gets heavy.

Sees Senuviel still with the bow ready and smiles directly at him then turns to Clair and snare - you my dear, it looks like you pups don like waguns.  smiles, been bout run over by one or tied up ta one as a pup to long?

The Driver is waiting as in the lad.  The wagon has stopped as the team of horses decided to munch on some grass.

OOC Kree, the hatch and the contents of the wagon await your inspection.

Chuckles, nay, i canst step down, I am charged wiff safely hauling da stuff ta da mill and market an I have ta make sure it is not messed with.  Looks to the Lad, go head an get down, set thar team ready ta go.  the driver settles some on top obviously not worried an grins, bad leg stifens up a might an da less iz walks bout the better sighs in discomfort dang lightning bolt made it so whiles back as a yung fool lad myself .  shakes his head sucker cheap shot mage was he smiles, dead now of old age an chuckles.

the lad jumps down and gets the team of horses set back for traveling.

Snare stays close to Clair but is quiet now.  a crow fly's over head chased by a small mocking bird as a rabbit bounces near by while a squire chitters to another on a nearby tree.  it looks like the animals of the forest have decided your sitting about is safe to come out.

Kree nods to the wagoner, my halfling friend?..he ...of all of us...is not eager for bloodshed. I...would take his  suggestion...I think the walk wabout your wagon will do good....the worse that can happen, is  we find something in there , you don't want us to find....the best the can happen..is you are on your way in a few minutes, listening to my comrades comment. on how foolish i am..... In reply to Kree Quickshadow (msg # 339):

the lad standing by the horses looks on, sir's um, might be you want to get along that thar feller yonder approaching tis Black Bart, our teamster and boss.  He's a mean one, done ties an ogre up with his bare hands and rope.

the driver hisses, now taht be bad, late again, turns to kree.  sighs, you'ss have to deal with the boss over this - delay - and moves to the drivers seat then down.

Yup, coming up fast and silent from the front where the wagon was heading is a big and I mean big horse with a huge that is a really huge rider (think Clydesdale size x2) and a humanoid form about Giant size, yes Giant size in what looks like drab cloths and a cloak about.  no road dust or anything.

the first to be the closest to the rider is Clair and Snare and Clair and Snare move off quickly to the side of the road, snare with his tail between his legs and Clair looking to hide as the rider approaches.  The rider is about 40 yards away.
