Re: On the road yet again

Kree will skirt the  fire  area, looking up in the trees, and the  scar the fire  left, to try and get a feel on how many..how  big?  some of the Beasties  were.

He checks the area  for  Bodies   either HAnging in the tress, or what may have been outside, the fire  zone.

Senuviel packs his stuff and goes to the fire base more to cover Kree than anything else.

Re: On the road yet again

In reply to Bruga Honeyfinder (msg # 640):

Kree it is a charcoal waste land where the pines stood and a good 100' wide after them.   Potentially some of the blobs or masses on the fringes of the fire might be creatures lost or other things that did not make it totally out.  the fire path goes on for a long while still burning in the distance if you wish to follow the trail.

You do see some bones near the edge but not much else.

Yenchew chuckles, unfortunate you burned em out so well.  By chance if you are so inclined to chase spiders, might we look past the fires edges and see if we can pick up any spider web trails?  Any wounded from the fire will not have strayed too  far.  That is if you want to chase spiders.

Clair reminds you all, we were chasing Orcs and i assume thinking they are scouting this area out as a new place to call there own.

sighs and shrugs, so that leave us Orc hunting and slaver chasing and now maybe spider burning.

So what shall we do?

Kree  looks out over the area at the fire in the distance,..for me? The slavers always come first. The Orcs, However..are a danger to the people who are near..the spiders?..we can Kill as we find them

"I think we waisted enough time on the spiders." Maki said, not to pleased that they returned to the fire yet again. "Let us move forward, i doubt we'll find anything here worth our while."

Senuviel gets his equipment, nocks an arrow on his bow and starts moving.

Good idea. Let's get going. Bruga, you're the tracker since Kree is rear guarding, I'll be right behind your halfling steps. Maki and Yenchew you get the flanks, Claire stays in the center with snare. Eyes and ears open. Let's move.

Bruga looks around. Everybody has some water? ... If so, he takes off looking for high ground, "a vantage point so we can get the lay of the land."

"Nope, i think we're good." Maki said. "Besides we have good scouts, they can find anything." A bit more quietly he added "Except a whole squad of orcs." He said it more jokingly as serious. But they were in a forest for days, and except for those Ogres they found nothing.

Re: On the road yet again

In reply to Maki (msg # 650):

You travel the rest of the day and at some point you do cross the Orc's trail or a trial made by humanoids near 1/2 a dozen different tracks.  Thinking it wise, the group follows the trial as it heads North.

Everyone roll a D20. You have come to a stream and it is geting late.

OOC The band of Orcs groan as no one rolled the magic number for an encounter with them lol

Beside the stream you find the remains of a couple deer carcases well eaten and a large amount of Orc track.  From here they disappear into the stream

do you make camp
cross the stream

it is late

once Kree catches up. he studies the tracks for a moment,..it is late, but  we cannot  camp here...let us follow the  tracks a bit, across the way....get an idea  how far the Orcs are away....

Bruga nods and follows the tracks. At any untoward sound or sight (as of a fire), he takes cover before proceeding with caution.

In reply to Bruga Honeyfinder (msg # 658):

The group crosses the stream looking for the dryest way across.

Roll a D20 each to see if you fall in or just walk through the water.  It is not that deep but you will get wet feet.  There are rocks and sand bars spaced about durring the crossing.

Clair and Snare cross staying dry - Yenchew just walks across after he slipped on the first rock - his boots and lower pant legs are wet.   OOC - Eww a wet 1/2 Orc.
